I've been reading about White Castle since I can remember and have seen references to the place for decades, but we've never had a chance to check one out....until a few weeks ago! This is quite the spot! It's located just a few blocks from Lucas Oil and it was a perfect spot to grab a number of bite-size burger morsels before the game as well as after! It's the perfect Venn diagram Between food that you can drown your sorrows in and food that fills you up crossover. We found the small cheeseburgers to be very tasty and the perfect thing for four dudes who had just gotten out of a very frustrating basketball game! We got 10 cheeseburgers for some thing like $5.99. A kin to the well you should always buy the flag ship cell phone that a Company offers, we found that you should definitely stick to the simple burgers here. We trialed the Chicken 'n Waffle burgers as well as the chicken bacon waffle burger. These definitely left us wanting, though they looked nice! The folks working here were very friendly, and they were able to serve up a tremendous number of burgers in a very short period of time. I call that a success! Well this isn't the spot we will necessarily be looking to go anytime we see it, we know no for what they serve is worth tasting!

First time I have been able to try White Castle and it lived up to the name. I ordered the original sliders with cheese combo. It came with a soda and crinkle cut fries with the option to add seasoned salt. They serve Coke products. Everything came out fast and service was very friendly. Absolutely reasonably priced. What I thought was neat is that they have a map of the USA on the wall that they give you a sticker to put on the location you are from if not a local!

I had White Castle for the first time ever! I must say that I am glad I tried it with a group of people at 3 am after a long night of drinking. If I was asked to try it while sober, I probably would have been nauseated. The fries were good and the burgers solved our early morning craving for food. We were fortunate to be the last group whose order was taken inside before they closed otherwise we would have had to scooter through the drive thru!

1921 Slider, Cheese Slider, & Fish Nibblers

When I grew up in the Detroit area, I dined at White Castle regularly. I like the sliders, and they're far better being made fresh at a restaurant than the consuming the frozen ones from grocery stores. I also liked having their seafood items. I stopped at this location in Indianapolis (10/9/22) heading back to Colorado. I ordered the 1921 slider (containing lettuce & tomato), a traditional cheese slider, and the fish nibblers. I found the food to be quite good. I also had White Castle two other times on my Midwest trip in Minnesota and East Chicago (Indiana), where the food was also good. The service was also adequate, and I didn't have to wait that long to get my food. However, this place had a sketchy appeal to it. I didn't find downtown Indianapolis to feel safe overall. The area around the White Castle was dirty and run down. I wouldn't recommend coming here at night.

We started with the Angry Mac & Cheese, which we had never tried before, and wow -- it was phenomenal. The homemade cheese sauce was rich, creamy, and perfectly smooth without separating. The andouille sausage and shrimp were cooked beautifully, and the cream sauce had incredible flavor with just the right subtle hint of spice. Absolutely perfect comfort food with an elevated twist. We sat outside on the patio enjoying the beautiful weather during Indy 500 race week, and the atmosphere could not have been better. Every table around us was full of people laughing, enjoying lunch, and soaking in the energy of the city. It was one of those perfect Indianapolis afternoons. For our mains, we both ordered the Cobb salad -- one with grilled chicken and one with fried chicken -- and both were outstanding. I still can't believe how large the "small" salads are! Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the homemade ranch dressing was absolutely delicious. The service, as always, was top-notch. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. From start to finish, it was such a fantastic lunch and overall experience. We loved every minute of it and cannot wait to come back!

Our server quickly greeted us and took our beverage orders...they carry only Pepsi soft drink products. She quickly returned beverages on tray, then took our orders. I opted for the Patty Melt along with a side of onion rings. The entrees arrived in the blink of an eye. My Patty melt and onion rings arrived fresh and hot. They even tasted great too! The hamburger patty was thick and juicy and cooked the way I'd prepare it myself. Portions were more than ample. After finishing my "feast" it was time for dessert, a Root Beer float, served in a tall larger glass with an ample portion of ice cream. I would suggest ordering it for two...it's that big. All enjoyed their burgers and we're looking forward to returning next year. * I purposely didn't review the other meals served, as they will be doing their own Yelp reviews.

I came here on a whim and I'm glad I did!…read more Kuma's corner kind of feels like a rock concert venue turned restaurant on the inside, with lots of memorabilia in there. There's a bit of grunge aesthetic too. I opted for the patio seating on the nice day that I visited. Service worked pretty quickly and friendly. I got a mocktail to start that was cranberry, orange, and pineapple juice. It was pretty yummy. I was far more impressed by the foooood! My partner and I split a burger and Mac and cheese. The size small was $9 and was honestly huge. It was definitely enough food for two. The burger we got was also a good size, and came with a lot of shoestring onion on top. The burger was $18 but it's a 10 oz patty which is practically a better deal than most other burgers out there. I'll be back again sometime for sure!

Zero proof drinks. There were some reviews about long wait times, non-toasted buns and the cost but the write up of the place itself gave me nostalgia vibes for a place called Cobra Burger in Richmond, VA so I had to try my luck. I really wanted to love this place, as I've not found anything like Cobra Burger here in Indy. When we arrived, around 6:45p on a Thursday, the patio had a good amount of people, but inside was pretty empty apart from the bar. We sat at a two top in the bar area. The music was at a pretty low volume, especially considering the amount of reviews that said otherwise. Our server was also bartender, so it initially took her a couple of minutes to come over, which is understandable. She took our order for drinks and then after bringing them back for the food. She was nice and provided good service although juggling tables and the bar, plus she was also pregnant. It took a very long time for us to get our food (close to an hour), despite three guys working the line in the kitchen, banging out burger after burger. The food arrived, hot and correct. Both my husband and I were disappointed that the reviews were right and the burger buns were not toasted. Non-toasted burger buns actually make the burgers harder to eat and less enjoyable. My burger was decent for a non-handmade vegan option; for the price my expectation is amor sophisticated/handmade creative one, but I am thankful that they had a vegan option at all. My husband thought his burger was just okay and that he's had better ones around Indy, so we probably won't be dining here again. For the size of the burger, they should bring you ample napkins without having to ask because it is very messy trying to eat them. For two burgers with fries, one small mac & cheese, and three beers (one regular and two nonalcoholic) before tip the bill was over $80. Now, if the food was top-tier fantastic, I would say fine but being that it was more middle of the road it's a bit pricey.

It's a Friday night and their advertised hours are Sunday through Thursday 11 am until 9 pm with Friday and Saturday closing at 10 pm. We decided to go at 9 fully expecting the dining room to be open since the hours are clearly posted and we arrived an hour before closing. To my surprise, we walked in and someone who I'm assuming is the manager looks our way and says to the hostess that they're only doing takeout. He clearly made that decision as we walked in. The dining room was empty except one couple who hadn't received their food yet. I could understand if it were 30 mins before, but an hour means you should just close at 9 pm everyday. A couple walked in minutes after us and were also given this information, but decided to leave instead of order. I did, however, order for my son since I opted out and he was looking forward to eating here. This was not how I expected to celebrate my son's birthday but was forced to even though they had roughly eight people "working" and were unable to accommodate three. This really left a feeling of disdain that I can't shake. I have no desire to patronize this establishment in the future as I was not welcomed during business hours this time. Hopefully this is a learning experience and they'll choose to service customers within reason.

I also ordered the Baked Potato Fries with jalapenos added to be shared with another member of our party. The burger was DE-licious! The fries could have benefited from a more generous helping of the toppings. They have a bar with the options to make your shakes boozy. They also offer Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC cocktails. An addition to the regular fountain beverages, they also offer a couple of mocktails and NA beer, I believe. The restaurant itself is very cute. It reminds me of a 1950's soda fountain re-imagined.
