A great comedy show, 3 openers, one headliner $20 tickets. That is a great price. Clean, new modern location. Servers bringing you food and drink. We went to the early show and people were mingling with the comedians after the show. The club is connected to another beautiful restaurant, so there is an opportunity to make a night of it all in one area. I really do like this concept. I liked that it was a newer clean space, that is also a downside for many, A few people joked that they were "playing a conference room" Only one of the monitors worked at a certain point. It did have a bit of that conference room feel. I think comedy clubs can have that reputation of being old, run-down and grimy. A clean feel has an upside, but I suppose does lose some of the charm. In terms of talent, I enjoyed 3 out of 4 acts and would be happy to go back. We live in Providence and it was an easy drive.

We attended on Sunday as walk-ins for the 6 PM show which was a mix of comedians. I would say the comedy is hit or miss depending on experience, but they want to make you laugh and that is always a good thing! The $20 cover charge for the Sunday show is too much in my opinion, and we almost didn't stay, but the gentleman at the door gave us a reduced rate which was super nice! We are coming back in a few weeks for a ticketed headliner and really looking forward to it. Wish they added some Improv shows to shake things up.

Much easier and I got better seats next to my friend this time. This is a legit comedy club and has a really cool vibe. I love that you can order drinks and pay with a QR code too. Before the show starts they say limit talking at your table. However, no one enforces it. There was a couple next to us that was SO loud. Everyone kept giving him an evil eye and finally my friend asked him to be quiet. He yelled that he was in fact whispering. A staff member was nearby the whole time and didn't do anything. I love this place but wish they enforced the rules. I'm not paying to hear some random dude talk to his wife.

We got a box of Crab Rangoons from Ching Tao down the street, and sat in the first row nibbling away. The show is a fast paced 80 minute romp with no intermission. The troupe takes suggestions from the audience for the skits, and hilarity ensues. If you are celebrating a special occasion, they may even call you up from the audience for a personalized skit of your own! The Bit Players excel particularly in their song-prov sketches, I have been coming to these shows for years and the ability to make up verses on the fly never fails to impress. JT and Danny stole the show the night we went with their Shakespearean sketch about Chuck E Cheese.. still laughing over some of the great lines! I would recommend this night out to folks ages 14+, as the humor skews to a PG-13-ish range. That being said, if you're looking for a fun and different activity, the Bit Players is worth a visit!

Since there was an earlier show before ours, that meant the two shows were back to back, and we had to first wait for the earlier show to get out. That pushed us back about 40 minutes. The line in the lobby was a wooooorm. Once finally seated, there were 3 openers! All hilarious and entertaining, but that meant the main act didn't even come on until 11:45pm for a 10pm show. The only time everything was clear was when the comedian inadvertently did not use the mike. The sound with the microphone was booming breathy and distorted. This is not a huge venue. Making everything audible should be easy. The first time we attended I simply attributed it to a bad night. Two times though? Will never go again.
