Again, I made another mistake. I forgot to order the stand to put the pizza oven on. I called Luca again and he took payment for the stand and offered to waive the FedEx costs since I paid for assembly initially. After investing a significant amount of money into what was supposed to be an exciting backyard…read moreproject for my son and me, I am left beyond disappointed with the workmanship, lack of accountability, and unfinished work by Ageless Masonry and the companies they chose to work with. This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a contractor. More than a year later, the job is still not completed, and getting any response from the owner has become nearly impossible. The grading and drainage were done improperly, leaving my yard filled with puddles after rain and even after normal splashing from the pool. Multiple parts of the project remain unfinished, including lighting and wiring that were paved over before the electrician could complete the installation. The outdoor kitchen was never properly finished, the grill does not function, and the sink was never installed at all. To make matters worse, the pool company they used, Sweeney's Pools -- another company I would never recommend, caused damage to my sewer line, which ultimately had to be repaired by my own personal plumber. Despite the damage and ongoing issues, no one involved was willing to take accountability, leaving me completely responsible for dealing with the aftermath myself. Recent attempts were made to contact Bob, the owner of Ageless Masonry, regarding these ongoing issues. One response was received initially, but after I clarified my availability for him to come assess the problems, there was no further communication. No follow-up, no accountability, and no effort to make things right. For a company that promotes itself as a local Wantagh business, this level of customer service is unacceptable. What should have been a beautiful addition to our home turned into over a year of aggravation, stress, and disappointment. It is extremely upsetting to feel taken advantage of after trusting a company to do the right thing. I would never recommend Ageless Masonry to anyone. Save yourself the time, money, and stress and look elsewhere.

We did and found appliances but received no real direction or knowledge at the 'appliance store'. We then decided to at least visit Jetmore for appliances. Walking into Jetmore you note not only the well stocked showroom but engaging a salesperson you knew the knowledge of their stock and outdoor dining was unsurpassed. That experience had us requesting a visit and a quote from them. Needless to say, we went with Jetmore. From day one to installation day we felt like we were in good hands. We received education and direction, color samples and materials discussion. The customer service was very thorough and helpful. Installation happened in one day and the crew was incredibly responsive, helpful and just fun. We are quite happy with our new addition and even expanded the kitchen 2 months after first installing because it was such a hit. The Jetmore family will have you in great hands.

So I googled fireplace conversions in Nassau County and the Fireplace Factory in Bellmore was the first listing. I called and spoke to Jocelyn who suggested I talk to Tom. I told him what I wanted. We discussed pricing and other options. I made an appointment and went there with pictures of what I have in my living room. I couldn't believe how many choices there are. Tom was wonderful! My house isn't set up for a fireplace which would heat the room, so I looked at the ones that were decorative. I found a very nice white birch model which would be perfect. I signed a contract and was on my way. I needed a plumber to make the conversion. Rather than choosing one of my own, I went with their plumbers, Clearway Plumbing and Heating in Blue Point. They were awesome. They were upstairs, downstairs, outside and inside, making all the necessary connections with my gas line. They spent an afternoon here and when they were finished, my house was immaculate. The next step was having the insert installed. There were several glitches trying to schedule a time, but Tom took care of it for me. The actual set up is done by Chris, who's been installing fireplaces for 31 years. When he was finished, he handed me a remote control for my new gas fireplace! Push a button to turn it on. Push a button to turn it off. Wow! A big thumbs up to the Fireplace Factory, their staff, their plumbers and their installer. My fireplace is beautiful, and I couldn't be happier!

We had an…read moreexisting fireplace that never worked since we purchased the home and wanted to 1) install a new gas unit to replace the old defective unit and 2) new mantle that fit the decor of our home and added safety for the little ones that play in that area. We started with a consultation with David who did a great job helping us pick a unit and mantle design. We signed a contract with an expected turnaround time of 6-8 weeks taking us to March. This was an important point for us as we have a 4 year old and needed this done quickly to minimize the disruption to her space. The project wrapped up this week (May) due to multiple delays related to their suppliers and sub contractors. Communication with the Project Manager assigned to this project was not great and I found myself following up quite often and being given information that was incorrect related to scheduling. This was the most frustrating part and only reason the review isn't five stars. One thing I'd point out; both David and the owner were responsive when I ended up escalating the delays. However, there wasn't much they could do to remedy the situation, but I appreciate they were responsive. Overall, I would recommend Fireplace Factory as the quality of work was great. Also the workers that came into our home were very professional and did a fantastic job keeping the space clean and with the overall quality. We are super excited with the end result and can't wait for the Fall to start using this often. I'd caution to give yourself a good amount of buffer for the completion date of the project. I was told this was an unusual experience, but as it's my only one, I can't validate if that is true or not.
