Excellent cream of rice and chicken soup on Sundays. The classic egg sandwich is a great deal. The steaks / grill stuff are their strong point. Anyone who has rated this diarrhea factory higher than 1 star has never eaten real food. This place looked and smelled like a burning dumpster fire. I ordered a skillet (mistake) and it came with a cold cheese slice under the egg. So some of my meal was cold. After eating it I had all of 5 minutes to run to the bathroom. Don't let the fact it's open 24 hours suck you in hospitals are open 24 hours as well and by eating here you may end up in one. read more

This place is definitely inspired by Ihop. The 24 hr, the menu and even its ambiance. That said they have a huge variety of food. The menu keeps going on and on. They serve great breakfast food. I usually get their waffle with strawberries and vanilla ice cream. I like going in the evenings when it's less busy. Weekend morning are usually a zoo but they do a good job of getting you seated. read more

I've been going to Nick's patio my entire life and honestly for the price and the size of food that you get this deserves 5 stars. the decor inside is dated yes, but this place is open 24 hours and only closes on major holidays then their workers can spend time with their family. so if you come to South Bend for Notre Dame game, or any of the other activities that the community provides. read more

Nick's is a true hometown spot where the locals congregate at all hours of the day. It's a reliable, cheap Greek diner where you're treated like family. Not very impressed with the menu. Its like a hodgepodge of a million different dishes and all of them as exciting as a pencil salesman's convention. When my Dad told me we were going to a Greek diner, I about flipped my lid. I LOVE Greek diners. I am spoiled, to me a Greek diner has everything Nick's promised, Gryo, cakes, homemade soup, salads, sandwiches, all that good stuff. I ordered the Gyro and imagine my shock when I noticed that the meat was not the kind carved from the rotating skewr like in real Greek restaurants, but pre-formed grocery store grade!! The people who did not like this place are crazy as I miss it a LOT since I moved to NC. The food was awesome and the coffee was to die for and was a LOT better than anyplace else. I would recommend the wings as I think they have the best wings around but it is on the appetizer part but plenty enough for a meal. The grilled cheese is excellent and crispy. There are several things that I miss and there is no place here like that place. Will be the first place I visit if I go back for a visit. So my coworker called to place a to go order for us and I wanted to get the vegan black bean burger. I told her to ask if there were eggs or dairy (just to make sure) and weirdly she said there were eggs. So I called back to get the full ingredients list because I found it odd that a "vegan" burger would have eggs. The woman I spoke with said she couldn't tell me because they don't have an ingredients list; I asked if anyone else would know what was in it. Like maybe.. the cook? She came back to the phone and said "All he knows is there's beans in it and it's spicy." Whether it's frozen or homemade someone in your restaurant should be able to tell me what's in your food. Probably my favorite 24/7 diner type place in the world. The food here is like an IHOP or a Denny's but cheaper and of better quality. The menu is huge so you'll be able to find something that you'll want to eat. This place is packed late night after all the bars close. The soups here are amazing. You can eat like a king and end up paying $11 and that's including a $3 tip. I'm not saying this is the finest cuisine around, I'm saying for this type of restaurant, this is the best you'll find. I personally love eating the grilled cheese with bacon on it or some pancakes and then getting any number of delicious side. The cracker basket that comes with soup is also great and tides the whole table over as the rest of the meal comes. read more

Open 24-hours and _everything_ is on the menu. I've had several different things oof of their extensive menu and everything has been in the "pretty good" category. Since they are always open, never crowded (at least not that I've seen), and good enough food I often use it as a (homework) grading spot. Definitely "A-OK". read more

Could not love this place more, open 24 hours a day great food BEST COFFEE EVER! I dont even drink coffee but this place had Hawaiian Royal Kona coffee so i just had to have it. Breakfast is just great the wraps are good, burgers to match. Spaghetti is lacking and bland but the chili is just wonderful. Soups are always good amd pancakes are always fluffy. We had two orders carry out when we got home, yes nothing worse then there was a item missing. I called them she check my order and did admit they had mess up my order. I was offered to come back and they would make it right but travel time was not worth it. The food was Fabulous and I will go back again. Don't believe the menu. I was on a protean diet and trusted their description of one their items on the menu which was supposed to be low in carb and high in protean. What they put in front of me was over 70% potatoes and very little meat. I complained and the manager--even though I hadn't asked about a replacement,-- loudly and rudely said that she cannot replace because I had touched the food. Who asked about a refund???
