Another review stated this was. "Gas station pizza at best" and while I am akin to making my own judgements, this one is unfortunately correct. With one pizza, two subs, two orders of wings and an order of cheese stuffed pasta, I hoped for better tasting food. Everything was congealed. Everything. The pizza. Cold as ice. No warmth even on the box! My kids hated their pizza and the sauce. They ate one piece each and were done. They said it was gross and I couldn't fault them. The wings were a joke. They are not labeled as boneless, so I was surprised to find chicken nuggets with a swirl of sauce on them and then Parmesan garlic with what looked like microwaved sauce on them as well. Ew. The subs my family bought were a good size and that's where the 1 star comes into play, but that's it. They were cold and soggy. The order of stuffed shells was so cold I couldn't cut through the congealed cheese that was on top. I had to put it under my broiler to heat it up again. I will never order from here again. It was almost $60.00 and I could have microwaved food that tasted better. Don't waste your time or money. Support a 'mom and pop' shop that actually cares about their product. This was one of the most uncomfortable customer service experiences I've had. I paid with a $20 bill for an $8 order, and the cashier gave me back $1 and walked off. Son had a basketball ball game at University High around the corner, decided to get carry out from here afterwards. Big mistake. Got 2 mediums, one cheese and one ssg & spicy pepperoni. The whole family was disappointed. A common remark was the low quality of cheese. It was really mediocre to bad flavor and texture, sauce was bland and crust was completely forgettable. Great overall pizza similar to Cottage Inn. Was looking for something that wasn't Detroit style, deep dish, or thin and this hit the spot. Ordered online and the pizza was here before the delivery window. A little confusion as to our location but the delivery driver called and it was sorted out in minutes (still early too). Pizza was tasty. A medium thickness crust with some good doughy bites for dipping. Toppings were generous and fresh. We will definitely be ordering from here again soon. read more

Nick's Pizza was our decision and boy were we happy that we chose to order from here. We ordered a large pepperoni with garlic butter crust and a large pepperoni and bacon pizza, with a side order of cheesy bread as well. Calling is "cheesy" bread is an understatement, they should call it "extra cheesy" bread! I couldn't believe how cheesy this bread was, never had anything like it. The bread and pizza were not excessively greasy, which is always a good thing when you're trying to enjoy some pizza. The ordering/pickup process was pretty quick. I had Nick's pizza this week on a whim I tried it for the first time because I saw a review raving about the Gluten Free veggie pizza so I decided to try a Gluten Free pizza with ham, pineapple and jalapeños. It did not disappoint their Gluten Free crust is one if the better ones I've had for carry out. The toppings were generous and of course tasty. . They make a bomb ass vegan pizza at an insane price -- so many places capitalize on the word vEgAn and charge a fuck ton for no rational reason, but Nicks' pricing is entirely fair, their pizzas look awesome, and, most importantly, they taste incredible. I like to think of their pies as Jet's before Jet's took a shit (at least at the locations I'd been going to the past few years). They don't offer anything crazy creative in the way of pizzas, but they really have some of the best "normal" pizza I've ever had. There's no better value for pizza around here than Nick's, and it's not even close... *and* it's a local place. My sole "complaint" about Nick's is that they undercook their pizzas -- I'd definitely recommend ordering your pizzas "well-done". Other than that? We'll see if Nick's makes the cut with the locals but this location has been an ever changing home of pizza places from Salvatore's, to Dolly's, a Dan Good and now Nick's. I ordered a small round with sausage and banana peppers, a square with pepperoni and a cheese bread. If I'm being honest the round was a little doughy but it was loaded with toppings. The square had a fairly thin crust (for a deep dish) but I liked the texture and flavor of the crust. I didn't love the sauce on top of the pie though...it's a more acidic sauce with a fresh bright tomato flavor but a little weak on the herbs and spices. The cheese bread was pretty straight forward and I liked it the best of what I ordered. Sauce or ranch is a la carte for an additional 89 cents....it would be nice if they just threw that in with an order of bread. Service was fast and friendly, the pies looked nice and while Nick's isn't my favorite pizza in Ferndale I hope it fares better than it's predecessors. read more

Then I tried to call my order in, I used the phone number online then verified with the coupon page. And the phone rang and rang with no answer. Online it said you were open. Then I call back and the phone goes to a fax noise!! What's going on?? I tried to order some pizza but I couldn't get through. Impressed! Ordered Veggie Lovers pizza. It was delicious. The fresh vegetables had fantastic flavor but it was the fresh basil that really took the pizza over the top. And the crust was perfect, chewy but not doughy. Also cheese sticks which were the best I've had in a long time. Parmesan sprinkled on top is a great touch and added a lot of flavor. They forgot the garlic butter crust (whoever took the order said it was their fave). Crust was on the dry side. The BBQ wings on the other hand were pretty tasty. The reason why I gave it 3 stars and not 1 or 2. It's located in a plaza and looked pretty clean. Cashier was friendly. I'll pass and go back and to Pizza Connection down the road. NOT COVID-safe!! One female employee wore a mask with a huge hole in the middle, the lady making the food did not cover her nose with her mask and an older woman had a flap of material over her mouth but not a full, connected mask. Nicks is a family favorite! Great crust, really good cheese, tasty toppings. The small pepperoni is a favorite of hubbys. We get ours uncut and half baked so we can finish it at home when we're ready. Also because sometimes the TRAIN!!! holds you up on the way home if you're going south of 9. I knew we were taking a big chance ordering take out on Mother's Day during this COVID mess. And, after reading plenty of reviews of others Mother's Day experiences, I'm glad we went where we did. I have to say that their website ordering system is very easy to use and there is plenty to choose from. We ordered three different pizzas and were not disappointed. Toppings and cheese were plentiful and the specialty crust (well done!) was perfect. The BBQ Chicken pizza was probably one of the best I've had in a long time. Pickup was easy and handled safely.
