Parm Garlic 'wings' These weren't warm and they were soggy and gross and apparently boneless, which isn't stated.
    Brittany L.

Another review stated this was. "Gas station pizza at best" and while I am akin to making my own judgements, this one is unfortunately correct. With one pizza, two subs, two orders of wings and an order of cheese stuffed pasta, I hoped for better tasting food. Everything was congealed. Everything. The pizza. Cold as ice. No warmth even on the box! My kids hated their pizza and the sauce. They ate one piece each and were done. They said it was gross and I couldn't fault them. The wings were a joke. They are not labeled as boneless, so I was surprised to find chicken nuggets with a swirl of sauce on them and then Parmesan garlic with what looked like microwaved sauce on them as well. Ew. The subs my family bought were a good size and that's where the 1 star comes into play, but that's it. They were cold and soggy. The order of stuffed shells was so cold I couldn't cut through the congealed cheese that was on top. I had to put it under my broiler to heat it up again. I will never order from here again. It was almost $60.00 and I could have microwaved food that tasted better. Don't waste your time or money. Support a 'mom and pop' shop that actually cares about their product. This was just flat-out-disgusting and disappointing.

Carry out only pizza place with good service and the food comes out fast! The pizza itself is a good typical pizza, not too flashy but definitely hits the spot. and different from a normal chain pizza!

This place was good but the pizza was overloaded. It still tasted good but had too many toppings, so they weren't all cooked properly. The bacon onion bread was legit delicious.

This is the most amazing pepperoni and bacon pizza I've ever had

I had a late pizza craving figured let's try something new and local I live in ferndale this is my first time trying nicks pizza and I already fell in love with it I'm a crust man and if you like nice big soft crust seasoned to perfection then you want nicks pizza customer service amazing and friendly make you feel at home but that's a ferndale thing most of the people here are that way I recommend this pizza over every other pizza is traditional good pizza not like the stuff you get a dominos or Pizza Hut this is real pizza best pizza I've had in Michigan in a very long time don't walk run to nicks pizza I promise you and your family will not regret they have a nice menu of other things to i will be back to try more that's a promise

Decided to give Nick's another try since it had been another few years and....surprise! It was quite good this time. Ordered a couple different pizzas over a couple weeks and both were good. Sauce maybe a touch bland and sweet but the cheese and crust were good. I now have Nick's on the short list of spots for pizza pick-up. Good to see things improving.

Received a coupon for a free large two topping pizza (take out) once moving to the area and ordered large with pepperoni and Italian sausage. Pizza overall was pretty good. Toppings were pretty tasty but the dough didn't feel cooked in certain parts of the pizza. Definitely will give them another shot and try some other items.

I get the same thing every time and it's always perfect. Medium pepperoni, bacon and mushrooms with a side of ranch. Gets the job done every time!

I was surprised the menu wasn't more Italian / pasta focused, but there were a lot of interesting options. I ordered the Gemelli and split the beet salad with my bf. Others also got the beet salad but added a protein. I also got a specialty margarita that was good, but expensive ($15) for the size. My Gemelli was delicious and a huge portion. My bf ate a bit of it and I still had a large carryout box. There was so much leftover we split that and the rest of the salad for our dinner. All in all everyone enjoyed their meal and commented on the nice staff and good food. The staff was particularly nice and stopped by several times. The bad? It was 30 degrees out and we were seated by the front door. Every time someone came in we were hit with a blast of cold air. Some people were clueless and literally stood holding the door open while waiting for friends. So - Como's should build an entryway of some sort to shield their guests from freezing air every time someone enters. I can't imagine what it would be like on a zero-teen degree day - which is pretty common in Michigan. Otherwise good experience and we will come back now that we know they have good food and a new menu.

Ordered the mushroom Detroit style with garlic- quite greasy and good once but not a repeat favorite. The meatball appetizer was dry and not very tasty. This is really delicious pizza. We are blessed in this area with a lot of great Pizza, and obviously a lot of great Detroit style Pizza, however, this place does set the bar very high. It's obvious the ingredients are fresh and it's equally obvious that those that prepare this Pizza really care about what they're doing. They also have some really good gelato! The building is super cute, staff were really friendly. Unfortunately, can't say that I'm impressed by the pizza. My friend and I both ordered the Hot Honey Ricotta-Roni, one as is and the other no meat. We both felt the pizza lacked sauce and flavor. There was more bread to eat through than toppings and that was disappointing. For the pizza where no meat was requested and they said they couldn't do a substitution, you would've thought they'd add extra cheese or whatever other sauce they put on the pizza. I did request this over the phone but the background was extremely loud, so it may have been missed. Overall, the next time I visit Michigan, I'd be interested in trying another of their vegetarian pizzas to give it a shot. Thanks to the staff for being so friendly.

I will preface this by saying I didn't order a pizza. That being said I ordered the grilled cheese…read morewhich touted mozzarella, pesto, baby spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes on sourdough. I opted for the garlic fries upcharge, bringing my total to $19.00. Somehow I justified it because I like these toppings and these toppings weirdly weren't available on a pizza. Or at least I didn't see it via the phone based ordering system. Yes, that's right, this is all of the future check with wrist bands and pour your own beer situation. Don't look for a paper menu, they ain't here. My sandwich wasn't a grilled cheese. It was basically pesto toast with large sun-dried tomatoes and scraps of mozzarella. Baby spinach was just missing. I did inquire to the host (perchance the only actual employee?) and he did talk to the kitchen and I guess they were out. With that information I turned to my friend Robert and said, "You know why we have servers? So they can let you know they're 86 spinach." I suppose I would have adjusted my order had I known this too. What's nuts is, they have ingredients to make a better grilled cheese. I mean, step one: add cheese. Why not mix the ricotta and pesto together and then add like havarti or something that may actually melt and have flavor. The sun-dried tomatoes should be sliced smaller. The garlic fries were fine, but also could have had more flavor. Robert's and neighboring table's pizza looked fine. Is it better than any other place offering Detroit style pizza? Hard to say. I guess I'm not in a hurry to go back. The kind host did make an adjustment to my bill for lack of spinach--but having a server would have prevented that being necessary.

Upon entering, the staffer explained the set-up to enjoy a variety of beers, poured and priced by the volume. Located at the back of the restaurant, customers can select beer flavors and serve themselves, no bartender needed. A tab is started and charged based on usage, tracked through the wristband provided to you. I ordered over mobile via a QR code, selecting pretzel sticks with beer cheese dip and a large, Detroit-style pizza. The soft pretzels were tender with a lovely crusty exterior. I inhaled the first pretzel since it was past lunchtime, savoring the salty, cheesy bites. I must admit, the pretzels' saltiness temporarily affected my taste buds because the pizza had little flavor, even with the pepperoni, sausage, and olives. I definitely did not taste the hot honey drizzle. I want to praise the light, airy crust. For a deep dish pizza, it did not sit heavy in my tummy. I also appreciated that the pizza was served on a rack, to allow air circulation and to prevent sogginess. The space was dark and had both large communal tables and smaller, intimate tables. This allowed for larger groups to enjoy community beyond a friend group. The other plus is the board games that are available to pass the time while enjoying various beers.

The name is also used for a baked cheese and vegetable dumpling, prepared in some regions of Italy. Etymology There are several legends to explain the name, primarily based on the anticlerical sentiment of the region. One is that gluttonous priests were so enthralled by the savory pasta that they ate too quickly and choked themselves. Another explanation involves the azdora ('housewife' in the Romagna dialect), who "chokes" the dough strips to make the strozzapreti. The azdora would express rage (perhaps triggered by the misery and difficulties of her life) and curse the local clergy, resulting in a pasta that could choke a priest. A third states that wives would customarily make the pasta for churchmen as partial payment for land rents (in Romagna, the Catholic Church had extensive land properties rented to farmers), and their husbands would be angered enough by the venal priests eating their wives' food to wish the priests would choke as they stuffed their mouths with it. The name surely reflects the diffuse anticlericalism of the people of Romagna and Tuscany. --- Had this pasta for the first time al funghi at a friend's wedding in Italy which cost me a fortune between airfare and suits but Bigalora does a great meat based version. I'd suggest they add a funghi option as well and I'm going to be so bold as to say that since they are making the pasta in house...please sell us bags! I never thought I'd eat this again after enjoying these yummy noodles without buying another suit, a plane ticket, and whatever it costs to renew my passport. Highly recommended!
