I knew we were taking a big chance ordering take out on Mother's Day during this COVID mess. And, after reading plenty of reviews of others Mother's Day experiences, I'm glad we went where we did. I have to say that their website ordering system is very easy to use and there is plenty to choose from. We ordered three different pizzas and were not disappointed. Toppings and cheese were plentiful and the specialty crust (well done!) was perfect. The BBQ Chicken pizza was probably one of the best I've had in a long time. Pickup was easy and handled safely. The absolute best place in the area for a gluten free, dairy free pizza (people who eat normal pizza also speak highly). If you have celiac's like I do, this is the closest thing you'll ever have to a pizza. read more

This is by far the best pizza in Ferndale! Their pizza has the perfect ratio of bread to sauce to toppings. It's not too doughy, like other pizza's offered from neighboring pizza establishments. It's always piping hot when either picked up or delivered. They are quick to deliver. Once we picked up a pizza and they put the wrong toppings on it. Unfortunately, we did not notice until we got home and opened the box. Since it was clearly a mistake on their part, they hand delivered the correct pizza free of charge.They literally showed up at our door 10 minutes later with a smile and a piping hot pizza decorated with the correct toppings. We were super impressed with the way they handled the ordeal! They were super nice and apologetic. This will continue to be our pizza go to! Having just moved to Ferndale this summer, we have been looking for our neighborhood spot- and after tonight's order, it definitely Nick's. If you are looking for a no-nonsense, classic hand-tossed pizza with delicious salad and breadsticks, you have got to try Nick's. You can taste fresh dough and toppings in every bite. Nicks Pizza is the BEST. The pizza is always consistent, and I know what to expect when ordering from them. The toppings always seem fresh, full of flavor, and plentiful. Flavored crust is always an added bonus. Furthermore, they are very professional. Not once have I had a mix up with my delivery, which happens so often at corporate pizza chains. He delivery drivers are very punctual and friendly. FYI, when paying over the phone with a c.c., make sure to mention if you'd like to tip the driver on the card. The signature slip does not have a space to tip which I find odd. Also, I do not understand why you can't add flavored crust to the Mediterranean Pizza, although it is excellent just the way it is. For some reason you can't have 20 oz. beverages delivered and I only drink soda on pizza days, and a two liter is to much. I noticed that sometimes when I call, they have my addressed pulled up with my phone number. The other times, more often then not I am asked what my address is. I love the convenience of not having to list my address. It's the little things in life. It's always when it's a younger sounding employee on the other end asks for it. We've ordered from here quite a bit, thought I owed Nick's a review. I've only tried the pizza, breadsticks, and cheese sticks. All are pretty good, I recall the cheese sticks being well above average. The pizza is good pizza. Not the best, but tasty and consistent. My wife craves the breadsticks, we HAVE to get them. She's so tickled by those breadsticks she could take or leave the pizza. They are crispy, light and doughy. I like them, but they aren't anything life changing (could my life be changed by the ultimate breadstick? Hmmm...).They are supposed to come with garlic butter, but in all the times we've ordered them I think we've gotten the garlic butter twice. Pizza is so subjective, any place is going to have haters and diehards. I can tell you that Nick's is pretty good and close to home for me. And that's what I'm looking for! read more

We got Nick's Pizza for dinner last night. To be honest, I was pretty disappointed. I had heard nothing but good things about Nick's from all of my Ferndale friends, so I was really excited to give them a try. It was just OK. Don't get me wrong - it was fine, but it wasn't anything to write home about. The bread tasted like bland pizza crust (hardly anything on it - thank goodness for the garlic sauce cup that came with it). We had the round pizzas, one with sausage and onions, the other with bacon and pineapple. The price was decent, but I guess I was hoping for more. Good pizza, and they deliver. Haven't tried any of the other options on the menu, but the pizza's decent and they're accurate on their timing for arrival. My one suggestion is definitely order your pizza "well done" so as to avoid a doughy texture to the crust, but other than that, it's a solid option for food in the area. read more

Vegan Pizza that delivers. Amazing. I didn't like it before but going Vegan gives you some cravings and happily they do it much fresher in Ferndale. Lol. The reasons we go back to Nick's are simple. The owners are extremely nice and actually care about making customers happy. They make it clear if there is ever any issue they want to know so they can do better. The store is spick and span, you can tell by walking in that the owners care about the quality of their food. To top it all off the pizza is good. We have never had a single issue there, our pizza is always ready on time, hot and exactly what we have ordered. What more could you want? They do not skimp on toppings which I have found at other places when you order a vegan pizza. The price is great and it's not far from our house. I saw 5 star reviews. I got two 3 star pizzas. This pizza was better than Little Ceasars, Hungry gross Howies, Papa John's, Happy's, Dominos, and Pizza Hut. I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, ground beef, spinach, olives and a sesame seed crust. After looking at the reviews on here, I ordered it WELL DONE and it was perfect. They were extremely generous with the toppings - covered the entire pizza. When I picked up the pizza I asked if I could add on a ranch cup and the lady gave it to me for free. I ate a few slices and saved the rest for a 9 hour road trip I was taking the next day. It was the perfect passenger pizza. It was awesome hot and cold.
