    Tomato and basil pizza
    Chenda H.

Delicious tomato and basil (Margherita) pizza!! Can definitely taste the basil and tomato in every bite. And it was so good, we ordered it again the following night. I saw the other reviews about a mean older woman worker but she was super nice when I picked up my orders both time. AND she was kind enough to put in our pie order 10 minutes prior to what we believe was closing time. Only con was that the middle of our pies were soggy but still overall delicious!! Obviously - since we ordered again!

They make the best chicken Marsala pizza!

The best pizza! My favorite is the chicken marsala pizza. Family run business and just really great people. My normal order is garlic bread with cheese, an order of mozzarella sticks and two pepperoni slices

On the left buffalo chicken. On the right a white slice.

Pizza was delicious and well cooked. The sauce was tangy and distributed perfectly. Same with the cheese. Totally yummy, highly recommend.

Let me start by saying DO NOT JUDGE THE BOOK BY THE COVER!…read more We were looking for somewhere new to go eat and I searched on Yelp. Found Giovanni's Inn and was hesitant bc of the mixed reviews! Well let me say thank God I didn't listen to the people who gave a horrible review! From the minute the waitress Kristen came to our table we felt like home! Unfortunately, we didn't know that Wednesdays and Thursdays is pizza and apps only and Friday-Sunday is regular food menu no pizza! Fortunately, we got lucky and came on a Thursday! The pizza was absolutely delicious. We ordered a margarita and a plain cheese half sausage. We saw the muscles on the menu but were hesitant until Kristen said they were delicious. She told us all about Giovanni. He's 89 and grows all his herbs, tomatoes. Makes his own wine and bakes his own bread and also butchers his own meat. We ordered the muscles! Well let me tell you make sure you order them! I'm Italian and they were the best muscles I've ever had. It was a big portion and to top it off comes with Giovanni's bread! We are excited to go back Friday-Sunday and have food! When we finished eating Giovanni came in from outside (that's where the pizza oven is) and introduced himself and we talked for about 20 minutes about how it all became! This man is unreal! We learned all about him from when he came over from Italy to date! Very impressive! I hope this review gets you to go try it! I promise it's worth the trip! Simply amazing!

Our group included some picky eaters and they were very happy. The space reminded me of the old school Italian restaurants. Our waitress was attentive and explained the menu perfectly. She even caught on that we were celebrating a birthday and arranged for the dessert to have a candle. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I have made Cugino's our go-to spot in Middletown, and even though it's a bit of a…read moredrive for us, it is consistently worth every mile. It's a cozy, intimate pizza shop with just a few tables, which creates a great local vibe where the focus is clearly on the quality of the food and the people. We started with the Vodka Knots and Pepperoni Knots, both of which were delicious, but the main courses really stole the show. We ordered the Meat Lovers Pizza and the Chicken Parmesan, which we paired with the Sachetti pasta. The highlight of the entire meal was definitely that pasta. I've never had Sachetti before, but they are like these perfect little "purses" stuffed with creamy ricotta cheese. The texture and flavor were incredible--a must-order if you visit. What really makes Cugino's feel special, though, is the service. Our waitress, Adrienne, always welcomes us back with such a friendly and genuine attitude. It's rare to find a place that hits the mark on both the food and the hospitality every single time. If you're looking for authentic food in a warm, small-town setting, "know before you go" that this place is a gem!

This was my first time actually eating at Cugino's, and spoiler alert: this is great pizza. We came as a family and decided to do it right. We started with vodka garlic knots, fried calamari, and fried mozzarella. The garlic knots with vodka sauce were a huge hit, perfect pairing. The calamari was well seasoned and fried just right, and the mozzarella was hot, crispy, and exactly what you want. For my main, I went with the meat lovers pizza and was not disappointed. It came out loaded with bacon, sausage, pepperoni, and ham, and every bite was packed with flavor. Everyone else ordered their own personal pies, and each one was a win. The biggest thing we all noticed was that everything came out fresh from the oven, and you could really taste the quality in the food. Service was friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. This turned into a great Saturday lunch, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more of their specialty pies. 5/5 stars.

Upon entry, it was as though you walked in to a quaint Italian restaurant on a summer evening. We were immediately greeted and seated for a table of three. The place was quiet and feels private at your table. We were greeted with requests to see if we would like to place an order for drinks. There were a good selection of wines though we do not drink. Water, bread & an adorable mini charcuterie was placed on our table as we look over the menu. There were many options but haven't had good pasta in awhile I decided to order the seafood pasta while my siblings ordered linguini with clams & beef carpaccio (third person was not very hungry). While we sit and enjoy the free table tasting, we enjoyed the ambiance and conversation. Food was freshly prepared and quickly came to the table. All meals were asked if we would like fresh black pepper and grated cheese. Oh my! The pasta were perfect all dente with the sauce full of flavor and creamy that you just want the second bite, the third until you finish the full plate. I so wanted to try other dishes since I was utterly delighted. The table all had the sentiments. We all agree we must come back. The owner stopped by the table to greet us and gave us a little of his story as I was curious how he came to Catskills and open this wonderful place! All to summarize, the service was wonderful! Food delicious, great place to have for celebration and intimate for a date. I highly recommend this place! Definitely coming back!

Solaia was an excellent choice for dinner!…read more For starters, we had a shrimp & mango salad over a bed of arugul. Light, fresh and perfectly balanced with a touch of sweetness from the mango. We followed with seared sea scallops with a creamy white wine sauce. The slight acidity of the wine and rich buttery sauce paired perfectly to complement the sweet scallops. For my entree, I had a broiled branzino with grilled vegetables. The branzino was lightly seasoned and perfectly cooked, moist and flaky! We finished our dinner with classic tiramisu. Rich and creamy! Can't wait to go back for another meal!
