Nick replaced the convertible top on my wife's 2015 Mustang GT. Now I don't live in Va Beach in fact I'm in Hampton. The trip was worth every minute! Right out of the box Nick was straight forward and honest about the job details and broke everything down so we felt comfortable. The pricing was very fair (yes I'm a car guy and checked around). The amount of experience and knowledge Nick has and shared was worth the price of admission. He gave us his recommendations on items we might want to address that would make the job the best it could be and save us the trouble of coming back because we didn't take the extra steps, no sales pitch, just the facts. He was so thorough that while he was leak checking the top he even found another issue in the back of the trunk that had nothing to do with the top and alerted us (to include a video of the issue). From soup to nuts he had the job covered and not only did a fantastic job but went above and beyond. His entire staff was also fantastic. I have nothing but good things to say about Nick and his son Brandon! They did a beautiful job replacing the top on my 2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder, plus they did a "Flood Job" because some water had come into the car and caused mildew. I will update the review as time goes on, but for now I can only say that they did an absolutely beautiful and professional job and that they were exceptionally nice and easy to work with! Had a scheduled appointment and the business was a no show. After leaving a message that I had waited for someone to show up and inconvenienced 2 people for rides, they called me on a Sunday with several excuses. They were out of town, they were sick, (too sick to take care of business but not too sick to leave town), they tried to call several times ( checked my call log for two weeks prior to my appointment and did find ONE call made from their business). Then the caller became rude, stating I wasn't listening and hung up. The alternate business now doing the work let me know that Nick's didn't fully expose what the job doesn't cover and they gave a lower quote for the same work. Once in a long while, one does meet the epitome of craftsmanship and care. Engaged Nick to provide a kind assist in the refurbishment of a Toyota 4 Runner intended to transfer to my daughter for her 21st Birthday. As a new car was out of the realm of reality, emphasized to Nick that the new seat covers, front/rear carpet and door panels represented my humble attempt to restore the 4Runner that my daughter had driven - and subsequently trashed - over her formative years of driving. The first major call was the carpet - Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or After Market? Nick's initial question to me was "Do you want an A Installation or a C Installation?" Despite representations on the web, aftermarket carpet leaves much to be desired on fit and finish. Nick offered that the amount saved on aftermarket material would be sacrificed in installation level of effort, with the end result still leaving a lot to be desired. I followed his advice, thrilled with the end result. Nick has unique relationship with several leather aftermarket seat providers, Katzkin being the best of the best. No Coverking Seat Covers here - Katzkin is the real deal that provides for a finsih product that mirriors that best that the OEM can provide. The Toyota quoted costs on replacing the fabric for the front/rear seats was actually more than the Katzkin Product, which comes with a 3 Year/36,000 Mile Warranty. As the interior restoration came together, I was thunderstruck by the attention to detail that Nick and his son, Brandon, devoted to my humble project. Nothing was too difficult to realize, with an incredible amount of insights and advisory on where I could realize my biggest bang for the proverbial buck in realizing my vision. I found them by searching online around Virginia Beach. My husband spoke to the owner to replace the roof of my Toyota Solara. We bought the roof and they put it to my car nicely. Hopefully later on I wont have any issues or anything. Cuz when I open and close it, the son said its still tight thats why its not closing all the way. Recently they installed a new Robbins canvas convertible top on my Honda S2000. True professions, on point, honest & informative. It was actually the 2nd time I've used them for the top, as it was a Robbins warranty replacement (originally purchased online not thru Nick's). I was concerned because it is my daily driver so they were extremely precise on the cost, drop-off and pickup. No surprises! They actually got it back to me a half day early. Also, knowing that it was a replacement they provided a number of suggestions on hopefully how to ensure a long life. I had the top on my convertible replaced here and it is a complete mess! The material very thin and cheap. The top is not seated where the old one was like it's too small. The back has wrinkles which we were told would relax but they haven't. Maybe it would if I could open and close it but that can't happen because the motor mysteriously burned out while they had the car. Maybe the fact that the back is not completely down burned it out???? Did I mention that water seeping through? There was a Velcro flap and inside it was always soaking wet especially in the mornings like the dew was seeping through. These people told me that moisture was coming from my carpet because it was wet. I could literally squeeze the water from the seam. At any rate it looks awful! I took the car back twice and this last time they have rearranged the Velcro flap so I can no longer open it. Good thing I took video of it soaking wet before they did that. I showed it to an attorney who said he was absolutely sure that amount of water is not moister from the carpet. At this point I'm waiting for the mold. The pictures show the flap which is white on the inside. This is the area that was constantly wet. I have included pictures of the wrinkles and the gap where the top does not close properly. Notice how that bar is showing through? That should tell you how thin this top is. It just looks awful... read more

I accidentally left my sunroof open during a rainy evening. The interior of my car got very wet. When everything dried, the headliner had a serious watermark all over it across the front of the car and to the side. My dealer suggested replacing the headliner at $450! I luckily found Nick's Upholstery. They worked on it and amazingly got the watermarks out! Nick was absolutely terrific and he took great care of me. I highly recommend this company to everyone needing an honest and competent professional upholstery company for their auto needs. read more

These people are amazing. If you have any upholstery issues with your car, take it to them. Both places I tried before finding Nick's Upholstery said they could not get a waxy stain out of my car seat. Nick got it out in about 20 minutes. I was referred by Stock or Modified Autoworks in Virginia Beach,(an excellent and reasonably priced auto body shop I might add) and was not disappointed. Head liners are something that need to be replaced in a lot of vehicles due to the heat in our area. Nick and his crew were great and the work was excellent. The Dodge Dakota I had done looked factory and it sokd to the first guy to look at it. Will be taking my F-150 Lariat for leather seat work and a headliner. Thanks! read more
