The inside Is so cute! So Is the outside !! The service was also AMAZING! Our waitress was so sweet! We also got our food decently quick! Was a little pricey. Food review breakdown Mozzarella sticks:sooo good! Ate them superrr quick! Sliderz deluxe:pretty good, they have a lovely flavor! Balanced flavor well. The burger was also cooked well! Not super messy! Hotdog:good! Cooked well. Chicken tenders: pretty good, cooked well! Seasoned really well. Breading is crunchy, chicken is juicy! Not too greasy. I'd definitely recommend this place for a burger! I was curious to try something different, so I opted for a turkey sandwich. It was really good, and I was quite impressed. I have passed by this shiny, 1950's style small restaurant on the main street in Port Huron for years. I never went in - until last Friday afternoon. Ambiance: The inside has black, white and red checkered floors, red tile walls, round red (with shiny flakes) counter stools and a vintage neon-ish clock. Service: the building is small, and the food is cooked in front of you. As soon as I walked in, the cook - David - cheerfully greeted me. Definitely a friendly, high energy guy, enthusiastically representing Detroit! Food: I ordered the striped catfish dinner with fries and coleslaw. The slaw was house-made with purple cabbage. I would have preferred the strips cut into smaller pieces. I could not identify the seasoning, it was ok. Maybe an acquired taste. The crinkle cut fries were also ok, I would have preferred seasoned though - probably frozen? The catfish, was taken out of refrigerator, battered and cooked in front of me. It was delicious! Gold corn meal, seasoning salt, pepper and maybe paprika? The way my late father used to do it! The 2 fillets were a generous size : 8 or so inches. Nicky D's Burgerz is the jewel of Port Huron. With such an expansive menu it's shocking that everything tastes amazing. I come regularly with my family and I'm always greeted by kind people and great service. My go to order is the Buffalo Chicken pita and 2 Nicky D Sliders, and I look forward to coming back and having it again. read more

I grew up in Port Huron. On a recent trip to visit my mom, I came here for lunch. The staff was so lovely. One girl working the cash register/drive-through window one waitress and to Cooks. No bus boy no additional staff. And they were all smiling and laughing and sweet as pie. The food was amazing! I highly recommend the Reuben sandwich. read more

Waited more than 20 minutes as only car at the drive-up window for two sliders and a side of onion rings. Excuse was "very busy" - 6 cars in the lot. Plus these are not real sliders- they're bigger than a regular McDonald's burger and the grilled onions on them were burned black. This place is in the building that housed the original Powers - a true slider restaurant. A travesty. Rings ordinary- frozen - not fresh made and with a heavy corn meal breading. read more

I have passed by this restaurant 100+ times and thought they did an excellent job with the renovation. I stopped today for breakfast, and the interior was clean and bright with a 50's diner feel. The food was very good, and the wait staff was happy (rare to find these days) and quick service. Highly recommend to visit and enjoy a meal here. read more

"Off the cuff" stop for breakfast. Great idea. Just wanted a standard breakfast and got it. Wife and I both enjoyed it! Upon return for breakfast will have to get an omelette. First time since change of name and ownership. Just got a 6 pack of sliders. They were tasty but as many have already pointed out the bun is too big for their burger. Too many bites of just bun. Make the burgers bigger or get smaller buns. Also there wasnt much onion on mine. A sliders winning point is that delicious fried onions. So still in search of good sliders up here. It was our first time at Nicky D's since the remodel and my 10 year old son's first time. We were pleasantly surprised with good, hot and crispy chicken tenders, motz sticks and hot chili with cheese and onions. Clean and airy inside.
