My 80-year-old father recently visited the office seeking a straightforward and affordable treatment plan. He currently has an upper denture and a lower partial with two remaining attachment teeth that need extraction. The goal was to create a new upper denture and a new lower implant-supported denture, with two implants intended to support and stabilize the new lower denture. We fully understood that he would require bone grafting beforehand due to significant bone loss. My father does not have dental insurance and trusted the office to provide an honest and appropriate treatment plan. Instead, he was presented with a proposal totaling nearly $26,000. As his daughter, and someone with extensive dental knowledge, I was honestly baffled after reviewing the treatment plan and panoramic X-rays. One of the most concerning issues was the use of dental code D7210, which is intended for the surgical removal of an erupted tooth requiring bone removal, tooth sectioning, or flap elevation. The office proposed using this code for the extraction of my father's two lower teeth and charged $419 per extraction under this surgical code. However, the panoramic X-ray and treatment plan clearly indicate that my father already has severe bone loss and requires bone grafting to preserve what little bone remains for future implant support. In this situation, using a surgical extraction code involving bone removal seems completely inappropriate when a simple extraction code could have been used instead. It felt less like patient-centered care and more like an attempt to maximize billing at the expense of an elderly patient who trusted their guidance. Sadly, this experience reinforced the growing concern many people have about large dental chains prioritizing production and overhead costs over honest, ethical treatment planning. I can only say that I am extremely disappointed in the handling of this case and in Dr. Smiley Jr. specifically. My father deserved transparency, compassion, a realistic treatment plan, and to be presented with alternative treatment options that could have better fit his age, condition, and financial situation not what felt like an excessive and unnecessary financial burden.

The staff is professional and courteous, you are sent reminder emails about your appointment which is nice for people who forget or are just busy with life. So for my personal experience here it is: 1. I have had a cleaning done by Ashley who gave me a great, pain-free cleaning while also giving me more information on dental hygiene than I could have ever imagined, which I appreciated. 2.I have had several fillings in the past 2 weeks and not one time did I experience pain during or after. Dr. Pamela Adams kept me at ease during both procedures and made sure I was calm and comfortable. 3. Finally and most importantly I became a patient because of debilitating jaw pain I was having. At one point I wasn't even able to touch my teeth, this caused horrible headaches and was making my everyday life a living hell. After a consult, Dr. Adams diagnosed me with TMJ and told me my problem was that I grind my teeth while I sleep she recommended a bite plate for the jaw problems. She took a mold of my teeth and within a week my bite plate was ready. I went in for it to be fitted and now I sleep with it every day. Since day one of using this I have had no jaw pain, and no headaches. My life has drastically improved as well as my overall dental health. I cannot thank Dr. Pamela Adams and the entire staff at Adams Dental enough for the great work they do.

I am a business owner and I do a lot of videos and when I broke a tooth I immediately called my dentist Dr Creech. I went in and was told 2 options, a bridge or an implant. I had done an implant with them few years back everything went great. I am sitting in the chair with Novocaine shots and half out of it so when they said $2200 for an implant I agreed even though its a lot of money. Instead of scheduling me another day, this was valentines day they immediately proceeded to take my tooth out which I found odd that it happened so fast. I had paid $1000 at my last visit and when I walk in today to only get a flapper fake tooth, because I was told the implant could take months they wanted another $1200, I immediately said why would I pay you for the whole thing when it takes several months. The secretary proceeded to tell me they are done, this wasn't including the implant, this was just a tooth extraction and bone graft. WHY ON EARTH would I agreed to only have a front tooth removed with no implant, when I asked for an implant? I even mentioned I had commercials I had to do and wanted the implant done. I was the one that asked for a flapper tooth because I didn't want to wait a few months they told me it would take to do the whole implant. So now I am out $1000 and have my tooth removed and I don't even trust this company. I would have NEVER agreed to $2200 to be left like this, why would you not have quoted me the whole thing? I had called and got quote for tooth removal and implant $2500-$3000. You were going to charge me another $1500 for the implant. $4000 for one tooth, please run from this company!
