I had been to another bridal shop out of state and fallen in love with a Nicole Miller wedding dress. I reside in New York and wanted to check the dress out once more before submitting my final purchase. On a whim, I called the SoHo shop and they graciously said I could come in that evening for 15 minutes since I already knew which dress I wanted (this is different than their usual requirement of a 1-hour window, which I could not have managed with my work schedule). When I arrived, I met with Davia and she was so friendly and sweet. She immediately offered me champagne and took me and my roommate to the back bridal area. I tried on the gown and immediately knew it was the one. She helped me accessorize and was very encouraging and helpful throughout the experience. Although I did not purchase the dress from this shop (the in-state tax made it much more expensive), I would highly recommend this shop for future brides. Purchased my wedding dress at Nicole Miller during the trunk show in October. It was an amazing experience! Rilda helped me with my search and was wonderful. Everyone was very down to earth and helpful - I was shopping on a budget and that was not an issue at all. The bridal salon area is adorable - The women of Nicole miller make you feel comfortable and at home. There's no pressure to make a decision and it was fun! They created the Bridal boutique experience in a chic SoHo shop... Doesn't get much better than that! Nicole Miller Bridal was the first store I visited when I had 4 appointments at various bridal shops set up. I was greeted by Davia who started with asking me about the style I had in mind for the wedding dress. She also asked what price range I had in mind and when I told her the amount, she responded with "That's totally doable". Very comforting since so many dresses are $5K+ and the moderate price in NM was appealing to me in the first place. I tried on about 8 gowns and after each try, Davia asked my thoughts compared to the previous dress I tried on. It was super helpful in narrowing down my options and helped me stay on track with what I had in mind. I tried on the perfect dress (Poppy) and was so excited finding exactly what I was looking for. After my hour appointment, I decided to go to the three other bridal salons before saying yes to the Poppy dress from Nicole Miller, just to ensure I was making the right decision. Nothing compared to my experience at Nicole Miller! It was so pleasant that at the end of the day, I called Davia back up and asked if I could return to try the dress on once more. It was a hit - and I bought the dress! It was also a Trunk Show which was a great discount in addition to going home with a bridal goody bag. WOW... gift bags and pleasant service from Davia? I think NOT. Not even close. For years I have dreamed about Nicole Miller wedding dresses. Since my fiancé and I met 3 years ago I've had different dresses in mind - all Nicole Miller. Now that the time has finally come you can only imagine how excited I was to shop at Nicole Miller for my wedding dress. Making the appointment was easy and pleasant... they deserve the 1 star for that I suppose. My appointment was April 25th at 2pm. We arrived around 1:40 and I was quickly told that we were early and they wouldn't be able to see us yet. Totally fine, I said okay no worries, "We will happily wait, so many of these dresses out here would be perfect for my bridesmaids!" I was told we should leave and "go get some lunch". Here I am thinking... well lunch takes longer than 20 minutes so I asked are they running behind? I mentioned that I had an appointment uptown at 4pm so just wanted to check. The response was very noncommittal, she just said it could be earlier or later but that we should leave. Sooo feeling pretty shunned we left in search of a glass of champagne. We arrive back at Nicole Miller 2:10pm and we are quickly taken back into the dressing room. I am so excited to see all the dresses, I instantly start perusing the different styles. Davia asks me what I am looking for and I tell her I love all of the dresses here but I am interested in something with a boho vibe and interesting back detail. She rushes me into a dressing room. I mention one dress I want to try on first because I tried it on at the Bridal Garden the day before and love it. She gives me a weird look when I mention this. I try on the dress I loved from the day before and David rushes me into and pins it incorrectly, it looked awful. I say it was incorrectly because I tried it on IN MY size the day before with a seamstress and it looked fantastic. I walk out to show my bridesmaids and they oOo and aaaa. Literally after 1 minute David rushes me back into the dressing room telling me there will be no time if I don't hurry up. While I am trying on dresses my bridesmaids look through the racks and start pulling out different dresses that they know I would be interested in. Davia literally said to them, "uhhh no let me help you with that." Then she puts the dress BACK ON THE RACK. UHHHH what? Why would you do that. Rude. I try on one dress that I am SO excited about and I did love it right away. After walking down the little catwalk I decided sadly, it was way too heavy and the silk to thick for my beach wedding. Davia instantly says, "You can't pick a wedding dress based on how warm you will be on your wedding day. You are going to be hot and uncomfortable on your wedding day." WHAT?! Who the hell would say that to someone trying on dresses? I happen to know plenty of brides and none of them said they were hot and uncomfortable... that is bullshit. There was also this style of dress that I loved made of silk taffeta. I mentioned that I had heard it could not be bustled, Davia immediately said No... it definitely can. I asked her, oh okay, do you have an in store seamstress then? She sad no.. OK well don't talk about things you don't actually know because the seamstress who I tried it on with the day before explained that it could not be bustled. She continues to push and pull me from the dressing room rushing me along the whole way. Every dress I tried on she immediately would say in this condescending voice... "Okay Jessica, what do you think about this dress. Yes or no?" Uhhh lady chill out I've been wearing it for 1 minute. She spoke over and interrupted my Mother 4 different times as well. At the end of the appointment.. and I say "end" meaning there were 10 minutes left. I asked to try on another dress. She looked at me and said... oh no, sorry your appointment is over now. You'll have to come back in for another one if you want. We were never once offered a glass of water... lots of reviews mentioned champagne... definitely didn't see any of that either. I honestly feel like she gave me the major bitch treatment because I mentioned the Bridal Garden... well sorry lady your company donates dresses there. That isn't my problem. I spoke with 4 other consultants at different stores and they wished me luck and were enthusiastic about my appointments. WORST experience. I left wanting to cry. I would have bought at Nicole Miller dress.. now I say no way in HELL would I buy one from you. Brides... you should 100% check out the Bridal Garden though.. they carry TONS of Nicole Miller bridal dresses in great condition for half the price AND the money is donated to a good cause, not rude women who ruin special days for brides. read more

I've gone to about 20 different stores (yes, I'm that insane bride) and I have to say that Nicole Miller Bridal was hands down one of my best experiences. I ended up purchasing my dress elsewhere because I went in a different direction with the look of the dress, but the sales staff (Rilda was amazing and made me really feel special with ZERO pressure - highly recommend making an appointment with her!) were SO sweet and provided the most attentive service. I really felt like a special bride as I was trying on these dresses. Again, there was zero pressure and they treated me and my MOH like queens. I've gone to many NYC bridal salons where you can tell they are just in it for the sale. The price points of the dresses were great and I feel like there were many gowns in the store that I didn't see online so it DEFINITELY pays to schedule an appointment and go see what they have. There's a nice assortment and I would say it works best for the fashion-forward, minimalist, chic, stylish bride. There were also some great options for those who want that vintage-rustic look, or 20's Gatsby style look as well. I fully recommend brides-to-be to check them out. The women at Nicole Miller could not have been more supportive and wonderful while looking for my boyfriends sister-in-laws wedding dress. With the wedding only a month away and not much time they fit us into their busy schedule on a Saturday. Fantcha (who we had called and spoke to previously) had the two dresses we requested to try on waiting in the dressing room for us, along with one other selection that she thought would fit what the bride was looking for. The one Fantcha picked happen to have been the one that we went with, and while we were finishing the purchase she brought us glasses of wine to celebrate. They made the wedding gown shopping process so painless and incredible even this anti-bridal bride loved it! Ps. Had a really bad experience wedding dress shopping here. My appointment started late and ended early because as I was ACTIVELY trying on one of their dresses my bridal consultant was like "yeah we are going to need to wrap this up because my next client is waiting". First of all, my appointment started over 15 minutes late AND at the time she said this my allotted hour wasn't even over yet! Once she saw that I was upset she was very apologetic but at that point I just wanted to leave. Its amazing to me that these people are worried about their NEXT client over their CURRENT client. Does that make sense to you? Because it doesn't make sense to me. In all fairness, I was somewhat upset about a different appointment earlier in the day that ended on a sour note. When we started the appointment we were even talking about this to the lady. Amazing to me that the lady went ahead and did the same thing to me that had happened earlier -- rushing me! Also, she mentioned she was engaged as well, I wonder if she would like it if she was rushed out of her appointment too? The dresses weren't that great anyway, selection was very small. Nicole Miller designs are exquisite, elegant, modern, and classic. The silk crepe fabrics feel like butter and the seam lines of the gowns are extremely flattering to my tall frame. I received extremely helpful service from both Rilda and Ana at the Soho store. Rilda met with me for my first appointment- she helped me cull through the collection and did some pinning magic so that I could visualize how the dresses will look when they properly fit. She was then very prompt sending follow up e-mails and answering all of my questions. Ana helped me during the trunk show; the appointment when I selected my dress. When I loved the cut of one of the new dresses, but it made me feel a little bare, she pulled out a dress from a few seasons passed that was the same cut but with a little more coverage. And when she added a simple and classy veil, something that I never thought I wanted, my tears of joy made the choice for me. I highly recommend this salon for amazing design, knowledgeable and friendly service, and a down to earth atmosphere that doesn't make you feel like you're in a factory....every bride is special here. read more

I went to NM Bridal on Saturday, and my appointment started promptly. There was no wait for a dressing room, and Ally, my consultant, was perfectly pleasant, though I don't think I could've relied on her for an honest assessment of how the dresses looked: her response to at least half of the dozen or more dresses I tried on was, "That looks great!" And here's how I knew that it couldn't have been true: she couldn't close most of the dresses on me, as most of the samples were way too small! I am 5'9", weigh exactly 150 lbs, and my measurements are 38-29-39: not rail-thin, but well within the range of healthy and normal. Most of the samples were size 10 or below, and according to Ally, unlike many bridal salons, NM sizes are "true;" that is, she doesn't size "up" for wedding gowns. Needless to say, if a dress cannot even be zipped up, there's no way it's going to be flattering, so I had no way of knowing how a proper-fitting NM wedding gown would have looked on me, and I sure as heck wouldn't gamble on a dress without knowing that it looked good. It baffles me that they would forfeit a sale because they don't have more sample dresses in a wider range of sizes. I was not looking for plus sizes, but just something that would fit. By the way, they served lemonade, fresh strawberries and iced cupcakes in the bridal area, which I suppose was a nice touch, but my advice is, stay away from the cupcakes if you want to fit into one of NM's wedding dresses! So, in my opinion the whole bridal gown industry shopping experience is not particularly fun -- but the women at Nicole Miller bridal I found to be useful and accommodating. The first time I went by myself and tried on a few dresses I liked. The young woman dealing with bridal sales, Jessica, was super friendly. I believe she is relatively new but was useful in finding sizes for me to try on that would resemble roughly what I was looking to buy. She of course said that every dress looked great, but that's her job. The next time I went back, I went with my mom and a good friend. Liz helped us this time and it was a world of difference in terms of experience. Liz clearly has been doing this longer--I'd make sure to ask for her. She knows the different dresses and really knows how they'll look. Ordered the dress, it arrived a week later and now I have it. One thing to keep in mind--though the dresses are generally cheaper than at a bridal shop--they don't come with alterations, so you need to find someone to do that. read more

I went to Nicole Miller with a friend who was looking for her wedding dress. We were taken to the back room with the bridal dresses and introduced to our sales associate (I don't remember her name). The selection and Nicole Miller was very small and pretty simple. If you are bead kinda girl, this probably isn't the place for you (although they did have a few dresses with sparkle). Our salesgirl let us browse the racks and pick out dresses for the bride. Whenever our bride would come out, she would compliment her and tell her how beautiful she looked in the dress...even when my friend and I were trying to conceal our laugher at how ridiculous some of the dresses looked on the bride. Another problem that I noticed at the salon was that they didn't have dresses that were for girls a size 10 or bigger. The bride is a very tall, athletic girl and she had to squeeze into the dresses. There was one dress that the bride was really interested in, but it was really hard to make a decision because it was hard to imagine what the dress would look like when it was actually fit to her body. In my opinion, it would be a real risk to say yes to a dress that you can "imagine" would look good if it were the correct size... Although our sales associate definitely knew what she was doing and definitely knows how to sell a dress, I found that she was complimentary of everything and I just felt like she was after the sale...not finding the perfect dress for the bride. If and when I am dress shopping for myself, I would not come back to this salon. read more

I had a pretty pleasant experience at the Nicole Miller bridal salon. Liz, the consultant, was helpful and not too pushy. She was honest about which dresses worked best with my shape. She also suggested a few dresses that I would not have chosen, but I was surprised and liked a few. The store has a large selection of dresses and all very moderately priced. However, this is a very busy store and they really try to keep you there for only about an hour, as they book appointments back to back. My sister and I always go to Nicole Miller when we have a special event to dress up for. They usually have some sort of sale on their dresses. Recently I went there to get a floor length gown and amazingly enough, they had a 50% off sale! The salespeople are really nice, not snobbish at all and attend to your every need (whether it's high heels to try your gown on with or an extra size). I did something stupid. I waited until 2 months before my wedding to find a dress. I thought that was normal. Lesson learned. It almost seemed Nicole Miller was going to save me. They have beautiful gowns that are not insanely expensive (for a wedding dress) AND you can get them the following week! You don't have to wait 6 months. Amazing! This is where the glowing review stops. I was able to get an appointment with the bridal specialist, LIz, immediately. I pointed out dresses in the lookbook I wanted to try on, but they didn't have any of them. She says, "here, try on my favorite. you'll love it." She brings out the dress that is their main "campaign" dress for this season. I tried it on. I loved the bodice but hated the skirt. "Don't you love it?" I said "it's ok. I like the top. Let's try something else on." I picked out a flowy number that did not flatter my body. My friend and I exchanged a look that said "Definitely not." LIz says "This looks amazing on you. You were right. This is much better." And I told her that actually, no, I hated this dress. I tried on another dress. She exclaimed, "Oh, this is the best one!" At this point my friend and I roll our eyes privately. I ask to try on the first "campaign" dress again. And when I put it on she said, "I knew this was the one!" The poor girl is fake and eager to make a sale, what can you do? I told her my qualms about the dress-- that I loved the bodice but wanted the bottom to be more of a mermaid, hip hugging flared shape. And she assured me "Oh that's no problem! They can absolutely tailor it that way! Watch." And then she pinned and clipped the skirt into a beautiful shape. I loved it. I told her "this is perfect, they can do this?" She said "Of course, absolutely! You just take it in." So I asked her if when my dress came in next week, they would fit me and tailor and how much that would cost. "Oh, we don't do the tailoring. We have a tailoring we recommend, but we don't do it." Fair enough. I asked her if she was SURE he could tailor it like she pinned it and she said he had more than enough material to work with. Fantastic. At that point it was 6 pm and although I wanted to buy the dress that day, I explained my father was in a different time zone and I wouldn't be able to reach him before the store closed in an hour, but that he could call the next morning and give his credit card. This upset her. "Well, that's not going to look good. They'll wonder why you didn't buy it immediately. It won't make sense." By "they" I guess she meant her bosses? Look, I know you're eager to make the sale but you're coming off as really unprofessional and desperate. It's ugly. Not a good image for the store and it makes me want to find the dress online and not give you a commission. Miraculously I was able to get in touch with my Dad right away and he bought it before closing. She must have been relieved. When I picked up my dress I had to sign a waiver that the dress was perfect, blah blah blah and couldn't be returned. It's understandable. Now, here's the BIG problem. I went tot he tailor they recommended and he told me that the dress could NOT be done the way she had pinned it. He, a very nice man, said that people who are not tailors do not understand these things. At this point what could I do? I had no time to find another dress, and thanks to that waiver I probably couldn't return the dress. I was heartbroken and felt cheated. The tailor began alterations anyway and did the best to make the dress more to my liking-- but it still wasn't exactly what I wanted, what the sales girl had said was POSSIBLE. If she did not have tailoring knowledge, she should have never have told me what alterations were possible. Beyond that unexcusable bit, she wasn't professional, she was ditzy and pushy. It's not a good look for the store. I called the manager to tell him of my disappointment. He was very nice and said that if I hadn't begun alterations I could return the dress. I said it was too late, and I didn't have time to find another dress anyway, but I felt cheated nonetheless. He told me he would have a talk with Liz. That's great for future customers, but I am now out $475 in alterations and it was not the dress I thought I was buying. Thanks LIz! read more

My bridal experience with Nicole Miller in Soho was absolutely amazing, from beginning to end. I had to reschedule my first appointment and they were very professional and happy to help me find another date. When I arrived for my appointment, with my mom and a family friend, we were immediately greeted by a salesperson who confirmed who we were and immediately brought us to the bridal suite and asked if we wanted any water or wine. Our specialist, Anadina, was fantastic. She greeted us so warmly and immediately had us browsing the dresses and asking questions about what styles I like. Anything that I was curious about or wanted to try, she added to the list, and she also suggested a few dresses and was absolutely fine if I said I didn't think I wanted to try it. She helped me into the dresses with ease and knew exactly how to adjust the straps and the fit of the dress. Not only were the dresses fitted perfectly, but the designs themselves from the fall 14 and spring 15 collections are beautiful! I fell in love with a dress, and Anadina helped me envision the whole look by adding a belt and blusher veil. She even asked if she could pin up by hair and made it look so great. The decor of the bridal suite was also perfect. It was big enough and very comfortable. There were dozens of dresses but it didn't feel overwhelming and there was plenty of room to look in the mirror or take a break. I could have easily brought 2 or 3 more friends with me. The aesthetic is soothing- it's not overwhelmingly white either, which was a pleasant surprise from other bridal stores I had gone to. I came back to buy the dress and have a fitting a few weeks later. Anadina made it very easy to set up the appointment. I had emailed to thank her for the amazing experience during our first appointment, and she responded right away and coordinated a time for us to come back in for a second try on and fitting. The second appointment was even better than the first. She suggested I try on a few new gowns from their new collection along with my original favorite, the Alexis Gown, just to be safe. I ended up staying with my first choice and as soon as I officially picked the dress, the other employees in the store were congratulating me too. I could not have asked for a better experience in buying a wedding dress. if only all other aspects of the wedding industry worked this well. I would recommend Anadina and the Nicole Miller Soho bridal store to all of my closest friends who are looking for a personalized, cool and overall perfect wedding dress shopping experience. Went to the bridal department and was assisted by Jackline who was such a sweetheart and incredibly helpful. Didn't find my dream dress but was pleasantly surprised that they were able to get me in last minute when I found out a dress I thought I loved was being discontinued. I even stayed past closing and they were still incredibly wonderful to me. Highly recommend for service and also for beautiful dresses at a reasonable price point. Additionally, I got an entire room to myself which was fantastic but I'm not sure if it was a fluke. Also, like most bridal stores, what's nice is that they allow pictures. One con is that they cannot customize--a dress I loved showed a little too much bust but nothing could be done as it comes in a B-Cup Size (and meanwhile I wear a 34DD). read more

Worst experience for their bridal collection at this store (can't vouch for the uptown location). The Euro-chic salesgirl was pretty spacey and basically refused to work with my non-bridezilla needs. I wanted to try on bridesmaid dresses and not their bridal collection. She couldn't understand why I was looking at bridesmaid dresses as a potential bridal gown. She finally relented and started showing me bridesmaid dresses, but only the ones available in white (which limited the selection). Even though I told her specifically that I wasn't necessarily looking for a white dress. (I got a very blank look back.) The samples they had for you to try on were in TERRIBLE shape and none were under a size 10. So you really couldn't get an idea of how their sizes fit. Also, everything was stained/ripped/thin/worn out. And she would compliment stuff on me that looked absolutely horrific. And they don't allow photos either. Which is probably a plus considering it would just remind me of how horrid the entire experience was. Nor did she write down any of the dresses I tried on or was potentially interested in for my records. Also, whenever I was in the changing room, she kept staring at my friend. Thank you DAVIA!!!!! You were pleasant, helpful, and simply wonderful! I made my appointment over the phone and changed it like 3 times (sorry!) with very helpful and happy people. Coming fom Hawaii I knew I had a limited amount of time and so I had a plan. I was going to go and try as many dresses on in the hour appointment and walk away with something wonderful. When we arrived we were offered water and escorted into the bridal suite. I sat down and we discussed what I was looking for. She pulled dresses that I wanted to try on as well as some she thought might look good on me (all within my price range of $1500). She helped me in and out of dresses, asking my likes and dislikes of each dress, explaining the options with each and really listening to what I needed. I tried one on with buttons down the back that I loved. She remembered this and made sure to mention that buttons were sold seperately and could be added to many of the dresses. I tried on my last dress (one I hadn't originally wanted to try on but that Davia suggested) and I was in love. It was not what I pictured myself walking away with so I was shocked. I told Davia I loved the dress but really needed to think it over. I asked if I was able to book another appointment to come back and try them on before I returned home. She was very helpful and we made that appointment. On my return appointment I was ready to try on the 4 dresses I really liked again. Instead I tried just the one on, I loved it and decided it had to be mine. Davia laughed and clapped along with my bridesmaid as she asked "are you saying yes to the dress?". She then helped us understand the ways it could be bustled and answered all of our questions about day of mishaps. She has continued to help me via email with any questions I had about the dress, shipping, or anything else. From reading many other yelpers review I noticed their issue with the time. If you understand you have an hour to try on dresses then you should set your expectation accordingly and come back if you need more time. I did not end up buying my wedding dress at Nicole Miller, but I had an excellent shopping experience! The store itself is a nice set up compared to many other not-exclusively-bridal shops in NYC -- there is a nice private, large area in the back of the store for the bride and guests (if you're used to Klienfelds, etc. you'll probably disagree, but it's huge compared to J Crew & other off-the-rack spots). Davia was very friendly and helpful, and she asked really great questions for someone as undecided as me. I loved that she tried to get a real understanding of my likes/dislikes and style as I tried on each dress, and the questions she asked helped me understand better what I wanted (...but didn't realize I wanted). One of the best things was that she wasn't pushy -- after high-pressure experiences elsewhere I was hesitant to make a final decision and she was super nice about it, giving me the info I needed on the dresses and not pushing for a deposit like a lot of bridal stores do. (Beware though, sample sizes are quite snug if you're over a size 6-8 in standard clothing) read more

I love my dress but thats not why im giving them 5 stars. It's strictly for Fantcha, who was amazing and wonderful. Even though I didn't have an appt, she made an exception and showed me a few gowns b/c my wedding was in a month. When I tried on the sample gown in a size 6, she pinned it a bunch to show me what it would look like. Though I was skeptical, she was positive that I would be a perfect size 2 and not require any alterations except hemming. I didn't have a lot of time for extensive alterations and fittings so I really needed it to fit great off the rack...but how could she be so sure??? Because she's a pro. She got the dress for me in a week and it fit like a glove, just too long as expected. Thank you Fantcha for making this part go smoothly and seamlessly (no pun intended). As for alterations, they recommended a tailor on Sullivan who has awful reviews. I work nearby and have also heard horror stories about them so I searched for another one. I lucked out again and found Ally's Bridal and Tuxedo in Hoboken. I told her I was in a rush (wanted an appt that same day and needed fixes in a week). She asked me to text her a pic of the dress which I did. I sent her a pic of the dress on me and she immediately called me back, recognizing that it was a Nicole Miller dress that she had worked on before and only charged me $120 for hemming. She also recommended adding a bustle which was a beautiful touch (free of charge). I felt like she wanted me to look beautiful. She wasn't trying to make tons of money off of me. She just loves what she does and it shows. She's great at it. Hoboken may not be as close but it's definitely worth the path ride! In summary, thanks to Fantcha and Ally, i bought my dress, had it altered in one fitting and in my hands all in 2 weeks...A miracle! read more

I have never actually been here but made an appointment to try on wedding dresses. This review is in regards to the bridal staff I spoke with on the phone. They take your credit card info in case you don't make the appointment (a lot of places do, I get it). I had an appointment at another bridal boutique earlier during the day of my Nicole Miller appointment and happened to buy my wedding dress at that appointment. I called the Nicole Miller boutique to let them know I was canceling my appointment since I literally just bought my dress. The lady on the phone from Nicole Miller was extremely rude on the phone and insisted they would be charging me the $40 regardless. I thought I was being considerate to let them know I wasn't going to be wasting their time. They refused to waive the charge. They could have AT LEAST been slightly pleasant and congratulated me on my wedding and my wedding dress. Of note, the bridal boutique that I purchased my dress from overhead my phone conversation with Nicole Miller and offered to deduct the $40 charge (from Nicole Miller) from my total bill. At least someone in the wedding business isn't trying to rip you off.... read more

ok- the dress i got is beautiful. the sales person, liz was EXTREMELY pushy and had a very bad attitude almost the whole time. i agree, with someone else's review- once I was at the register to pay for the dress, the sales team was a bit rude. the other issue i have with Nicole Miller, is they sent me to Village Tailor. A BIG MISTAKE!!! I am still waiting to see how the dress turns out. But the service there was AWFUL and the handwork does not seem very good. I am guessing the Nicole Miller must get a kick back from the over priced tailoring charge. DO NOT GO TO VILLAGE TAILOR!!! read more

If you're looking for a modern, fashionable wedding gown, Nicole Miller should be on your bridal shopping list. The bridal section is at the back of the store, but you need to make an appointment to look. I found Liz, the bridal saleswoman, to be helpful but not pushy. After looking through the racks, I picked some dresses, and she pulled some suggestions as well. I tried on 6-8 but we both agreed on the same one. I felt very Old Hollywood glam trying it on in their store, so I knew it was the one! Luckily the sample size was the same one I'd need. They ordered me a new one from the warehouse and it was ready for pick-up in less than a week. Prices here are generally under $2000, so not as expensive as a Kleinfeld dress. Taking advice from other reviewers, I did not use their suggested tailor for the alterations I needed. My dress was stunning, if I do say so myself, and I felt incredible wearing it! read more

I was very disappointed in my experience - here's why: 1 - The shop is smaller than I would have imagined 2 - They messed up my bridal appointment and thus were late when I showed up (they had to call someone in) 3 - No privacy in the bridal suite - doors were left open to the outside space 4 - Poor bridal dress quality - I was shocked at the fabric and the cuts. Everything looked high-end online. I went to Nicole Miller despite the rumors of them having awful customer service. I found a dress I wanted and needed to order extra fabric that took much longer than necessary to come in. Not only are they unorganized, they recommended an AWFUL tailor who RUINED my beautiful dress. DO NOT GO TO NICOLE MILLER for a wedding gown. If you want a dress of Nicole Miller's you are better off buying it at a boutique and not from the store directly. read more

After doing some research online, I decided to pay Nicole Miller a visit because they have a number of beautiful and affordable wedding dresses. I tried on a few of my favorite styles, but I knew immediately that they weren't for me - they were too summery and shear. I was disappointed that the salesperson didn't listen to my concerns and insisted on complimenting the dress even when I wasn't happy with the style or the fit. Yes, it's a beautiful dress... but not for me. It wasn't an awful experience, I do think their inventory is worth considering for a beach wedding, but I would appreciate some honesty or at least some distance from the salesperson. read more

I had a great experience with Liz Weiss - she was easy going and helpful at the same time. She was never pushy and flexible with trying on as many dresses as I liked. Nicole miller is a great place to try on dresses because they let you touch and look around at the dresses unlike some other places. My bridal appointment at Nicole Miller in Soho was disappointing. First off, I had requested an appointment through their online system twice and no one ever bothered to call me to schedule something. I had decided to forget it but later decided that I shouldn't pass it up in case I find my dream dress. Due to a cancellation, I managed to get an appointment for the next morning. The woman I spoke to was great. I arrived about 5 minutes late to my appointment but had called earlier to give them the heads up. The woman I spoke to (who I suspect was Jackie, the same person who helped me in store) sounded totally annoyed when I called to say I'd be a few minutes late. I went to this appointment alone since I booked it at the last minute and Jackie/Jacqueline was so unpleasant from the moment I walked in the door. It's a shame because there was another woman working who was lovely and greeted me warmly. I hoped she would be the stylist helping me but nope, I got Jackie instead. Jackie was annoyed from start to finish. She seemed bored the entire time, not a pleasant bridal shopping experience at all. She was not helpful and was a total sour puss the entire time. She didn't even bother to close the curtain separating the bridal area from the rest of the store. When I came out of the dressing room so she could zip up my dress (sometimes with my bits hanging out), anyone in the store would be able to see me. It was a Saturday morning so the store was empty but still. She just couldn't be bothered with anything. I ALMOST asked the other woman in the store to help me instead. She also seemed annoyed when I wanted to try on more dresses. I ended up leaving before the hour-long appointment ended because I'd had enough. read more

I do agree that the sales person is a little weird pushy. However, I am giving the starts because of the quality and price of the gowns!!! Nicole miller makes BEAUTIFUL wedding dresses that look like the $3K dresses at a quarter of the price. I am thrilled with my dress. Word of advice though.. I have heard the tailor they refer to is no good, take your dress somewhere else instead. read more

Davia was great. I ordered my gown in February, i was concerned because by March no one contacted me about my gown. Eventually, i did receive my gown in March, luckily they found the order. Turns out Davia is no longer here smh. The bridal bag for the dress feels extremely cheap, i am concerned because i have to travel with my dress. This is a small boutique, a max of two guest is advise, due to the space limitations. Otherwise, the staff are nice and accommodating. read more
