Doctors are, you know....people. You don't want to evaluate them with the callousness with which you might describte, say, a crepe stand. On the flip side, choosing a primary care physician is hard. You have to pick a random name off of a list and suddenly that person is you go-to for every question and ailment. Unlike the crepes, other people's opinions could be really helpful for longer than a few hours... Fortunately for me, Dr. Graziani is a great doctor, so I don't have to stress about the relative ethics of bashing her on a public website. She is kind, thorough, smart, and gets an extra star for being the first doctor in awhile to take an invested interest in my nemesis, migraines. I'd recommend her. I am recommending her. That's the whole point of the whole thing. (note: if you are considering making Jefferson Med your primary care location you should know that they are affiliated with the med school and you might have students watching and helping during your exams. if this weirds you out, skip the practice)

The good PT's are usually given phone work or transportation. It's very uncomfortable to go there with this type of atmosphere. The only reason I do attend my physical therapy there is because transportation is provided. I'm not the only person who feels this way! Many are in the same boat as me, going because they do offer free transportation. Head Quarters should really take some time and look into this matter because someone is going to I get hurt. The direction and some of the staff are more interested in eating, talking on the phone or just bullshitting with each other. I do feel that this is a very serious issue that should be looked into.

My 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son were patients of Dr. Jenny. The office is clean and modern, and my wife and I were happy to support a local business that was well suited towards the young parents of Fishtown & Northern Liberties. Last summer my daughter was diagnosed by Dr. Jenny with cavities. My daughter & wife trusted Dr. Jenny and were ensured that Dr. Jenny would personally handle the 3 treatments that would be needed to rectify the problem. However, after the first procedure, because The Children's Tooth Spa is rapidly expanding and Dr. Jenny was distracted, a new dentist/hygienist was used for the 2nd and 3rd treatments, upsetting my daughter and my wife. But most egregiously, the third treatment involved inserting a solid metal silver crown into my daughter's mouth that neither me nor my wife was ever made aware would be so visible in her beautiful smile. When I first found out about this I was, I think justifiably, furious. It should have been made clear to us that the metal crown was going to be so visible. I have since come to learn that these metal crowns are pretty common in children's dentistry, and my daughter's smile is still ever beautiful, and so I have calmed down a bit. But it should have been made abundantly clear to us that the crown was going to be visible, and there should have been consent from both parents beforehand. I subsequently called the Children's Tooth Spa and left a voicemail. When Dr. Jenny called me back we had a 45 minute conversation over which Dr. Jenny was extremely defensive and exhibited really bizarre delusions of grandeur. Even still, after our call Dr. Jenny did call us back to further explain and offer potential resolutions. This was followed by a snarky delusional email a few weeks later accusing me of being "abusive" towards Dr. Jenny & her staff, a bizarre claim since I had only called her office looking to follow up from my voicemail and Dr. Jenny had called me back twice, even after our long form conversation. I am not sure why Dr. Jenny would call me back if she had felt that her or her staff had been disrespected. I think, bottom line, any medical practice, especially one that takes care of little kids, that would let the relationship between doctor, patient, and the patient's loved ones break down so catastrophically should not be in practice. The Children's ToothSpa was much more interested in expansion than taking care of my kids. We have since switched to Cobblestone Kids and have had a much more pleasant & normal experience.

After an hour long wait in the cold, dirty,…read moremessy lobby with no reception and a medical informercial blasting on TV, I asked the receptionist when she thought I would be seen. Instead of giving me an answer, she accused me of having arrived late. Dear Reader, I had not! And it was downhill from there. From the nurses to the doc, the culture of the office was unprofessional, chaotic, callous, and antagonistic. Moreover, three different people tried to stick a needle in me. These are professionals who do IVs every day, and they blew my veins twice, hurt me, poked me, and never got my vein. I had a number of phone conversations with the office since then, and it was just a circus. Very rude. I feel extremely sorry for the patients who have no choice to go here.
