I had my two children going to The Children's Tooth Spa for a little over a year. Like most dentist offices when you first enroll, you have to fill out a packet and provide demographics as well as insurance. The packet had to be filled out in office by paper. A tad bit out dated but cool. However, the next time I came back six months later, they needed me to fill out the paper again because they lost it. It doesn't end there, when I went back six months again they needed me to fill out the demographics again. That's when my frustration grew because how are they mishandling important documents. My daughter needed surgery for crowns on her back teeth and they needed me to fill out the paperwork because the surgery was being done elsewhere by Dr. Jenny. I filled out the paperwork and called to make the appointment. I was told that I would get a phone call 24 hours before the appointment day to receive a time for the surgery. The day before the appointment I called them because I never received a time for my daughter to come in for surgery, turns Dr. Jenny and her staff forgot to send the paper to the hospital. I was livid. I already requested off of work to prepare for my daughter's surgery and took all the necessary steps needed. I called Dr. Jenny's office and the whole staff is giving me the runaround to the point where I drove up to the office to talk with them in person. Thankfully, they were able to squeeze my daughter in to receive the surgery. I decided that after the surgery, they would never see us again and they haven't. The office is nice and clean for the most part. There isn't much sitting space. You can arrive at 8 AM for your appointment and you won't be seen until 8:30. I'm not sure why it takes so long. Outside of the nice clean new office look, there isn't much to like about this place. It appears clarity is needed. For clarity, my daughter's surgery took place on October 31, 2024 at the surgery center on Allegheny & tulip. Prior to the surgery, my children attended the children's tooth spa for a year, and received regular check ups and X-rays. Each time we came in the office we were given a clipboard and a pen to fill out insurance info, address, and demographics. We filled this out by paper EACH TIME. We were never asked if our information had changed. When I asked why did we need to continuously fill out the same paperwork over and over, it had been stated that the paperwork was lost or never inserted in the system. We had long wait times despite being the first family to arrive. On our first visit we were bargained to leave a positive review on google in an exchange for free toothpaste. This business is classless. I see that the doctor is dedicated to responding to each review. Put more time into the quality of your business. Thanks!

We love Dr Jenny! First, importantly, everything they do is covered by our insurance and they're great about checking ahead of time. The whole experience is amazing for children and while our toddler doesn't love the actual exam, she loves everything else and it's a great way to form positive associations with the dentist. The waiting area has toys and crayons, along with coffee and water. The bathroom is set up for kids with a toilet stool, changing station (with diapers and wipes in case you forgot!), and a stool by the sink for littles to be able to reach. The exam area is pleasant with a view of 2nd street and TVs - lots of distractions for littles. Dr Jenny is super gentle and great about talking through any issues or concerns, no matter how big or small. I also really appreciate that I feel guided and not guilted as a parent!

She kept bouncing from one waiting area to the other as she couldn't decide if she wanted to watch "Super Monsters" or play with the wooden toys and sit on the plastic tooth shaped chair. They called us back and we found ourselves in a room with dinosaur wallpaper. It looked like we stepped into Jurassic park. She loved it! They let her climb into the chair where she found Curious George waiting for her viewing pleasure. Once the Dr and assistant came in, they asked what she wanted to watch and put Peppa Pig on. Dr Monika was amazing. She took a few minutes to ask me about my daughters daily habits and what she eats and drinks. Gave me some very wonderful and helpful suggestions to get my daughter to brush at night. She then showed my daughter her "toys" (her dental instruments) and let her touch them and play with them for a few minutes. She was so gentle and sweet and really wonderful with my daughter. I wish Dr. Monika was my dentist! I am so pleased with our experience here and I would recommend this place to anyone with little children!

Dear Doctor Singer, I am writing to respectfully request an…read moreexception to your usual policy regarding parental presence during dental procedures. My 4-year-old daughter will be undergoing cavity prep work, and I strongly feel that my being in the room will help comfort and reassure her throughout the process. As her parent, I believe my presence is crucial to her emotional well-being during what can be a stressful, first-time experience. While I was explaining my concerns to the hygenist in the room - Emily, I believe - she said that I was welcome to have the procedure done elsewhere. It was disappointing to be dismissed in such a manner and then to hear the "this is our office policy" as a standard response. I want to find a solution that puts my daughter's needs first. I also want to outline that, as a parent, I am not comfortable having my daughter in a room with strangers while she is semi-conscious. I work in a field where we tell parents NOT to allow their children to be in a room with adults they do not know. Thank you for your understanding and consideration. *Dr. Singer called within a few hours to explain why they dont allow a parent in the room at all. It's BS. Please accept this email as formal notification of Stella's termination of her relationship with ABC Children's Dentistry. For context, I shared my experience on social media, and the platform's power did not disappoint. I received overwhelming support from friends, colleagues, and even strangers who all agreed that your "office policy" on procedures is absurd. Parents and people without children alike continued to share my story. I also received the names of six dentists who not only permit but also encourage a parent to be present with their child at any age. Since I was advised that I could "have the procedure done somewhere else," that's what I am doing.

There is no one who cares more for children or their dental health more than Dr. Singer. He makes…read moregoing to the dentist, fun, a true destination. And he has a heart of gold.

Let me start by saying i REALLY liked this place. After 13 years without a dental visit- I came to…read morefresh smiles upon recommendation of a coworker, who had been going here for years. My initial visit went well- I provided my insurance information and was provided a treatment plan detailing my costs- perfect! I was informed I would need a deep cleaning- which would need to happen in 2 sessions. I went to my first appointment early december and paid the amount outlined in the treatment plan. Easy peasy. TWO weeks later, on the eve of my 2nd deep cleaning session (and less than 15 hours before my appointment)- I received an appointment confirmation call. At the end of the call the receptionist CASUALLY mentions something about my insurance not being in network anymore and how I would now need to pay $700+ out of pocket. Girl, how are you going to call someone and drop that bomb on them 5 days before christmas? Needless to say, I cancelled the appointment and emailed them to get a more detailed explanation. Except I never got one. Instead, I received the least professional response I've ever gotten (see attached). I do not blame fresh smiles for my insurance *seemingly nowhere within a 2 week time frame deciding their office was OON* however, i DO blame them for piss poor communication. So now i sit, dentistless with half my mouth cleaned. Please be warned that while this dentist office has some of THE sweetest hygienists, and a great atmosphere, the communication here is absolute garbage between patients and their front office. Please do better!
