    Right on Saison

Nice historic building with the brewing visable from the bar. Parking wasn't too bad on a week day, I parked around the corner. The first beer I sampled was a Saison. My second selection will be the Trple Berry called Berried Alive! Every table was full. Get here early if you come for the Story Telling.

After hearing about this family owned brewery in downtown Lockport on the I'm Fat Podcast,I decided to give them a try . As soon as you enter you get greeted by the bartender . You go to the bar to order your beer. He was willing to answer any questions you might have or even give you a small sample to taste. They brew on site and offer about 12 different beers in 5,10 and 16 ounce pours. There were many regulars sitting at the bar and I noticed most of them had the 1853 Orange Creme Ale so I decided why not. I am glad I did! Delicious and refreshing with just the right amount of orange and vanilla. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is no food options are available unless you bring your own or order from one of the local establishments in the area Open daily with entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights, this is a real gem.

On a slow Monday night surprised to see that the Lock & Mule was closed due to an event and went across the street to Nik & Ivy and glad we did! Tom the bartender was wonderful, very attentive, gave us tastings and recommendations. There is no food at Nik & Ivy, but several places down the street can be ordered, and some will bring it over. We choose the mexican Taco Heaven right down the street, brought it back (left our tab open!) and highly recommend it! The chips and salsa was great with some yummy beer. Plenty of bar and table space, unisex bathroom also have a full sized diaper changing area. Beer wise, some of the locals told us that Lock & Mule may have great food, but beers could be hit and miss and they come over to Nik & Ivy. :-). Tried the very yummy Orange Cream. The Coconut Cream was also great, and the Vanilla Cream seemed a little light and only a slight hint of Vanilla. Orange Cream was the favorite! We definitely come back to downtown Lockport!

Came to this location for a Wednesday trivia night. It was from 7pm - 9pm. They had four rounds, and anyone could play. They offer a variety of beers and a few non-alcoholic drinks along with Trulys and ciders. You can order food from next door to have it delivered, or you can go pick it up as well. They only had one bartender behind pouring beers. But waits weren't long because it's just beer. Everyone was extremely nice and seemed like they loved their job. Having music play helped for a nice ambiance.

Located in historic Lockport this mom and pop brewery is a friendly place to visit for both locals and those just passing through. There is no food offered but you can bring in or order in. Everyone seemed to be having the Orange Cream Ale so worth a try. I'm gluten free and can't drink beer but they did have cold brew. They have a busy calendar of various events and entertainment so check out this gem when in the area.

Nick of time peanut butter stout, 1853 vanilla cream ale and Tropic like it's Hot IPA...all winners!!

Street parking, nice industrial decor, good friendly vibe. This could easily be a hometown brewery bar anywhere in the US. Offerings were delicious! Definitely a good place to kick back and enjoy the fare. Barkeep friendly and attentive. A couple of pinball machines, and tabletop games available to play.

    Quint's Bounty And Beer Pretzels

A very good local brewery. It has kind of a classy touch but casual. Nik & Ivy is one of the popular hangouts in Lockport. Good beer selection even though they haven't been here all that long with lots of variety in flavors. This isn't extremely loud like many bars and is more of a relaxing fun time. Has quite a few beers on tap and these aren't all similar like how it can happen sometimes at a brewery. It has hoppy and sour among flavors. The Quint's Bounty is a good one of these. It's $8 for a pint. This is a lot for a beer, which is the only bad thing. It's a sour IPA. This is also pretty strong. Among the others are more hoppiness. There's hearty beers like a stout. Also has some snack food. Pretzels are good with beer usually. It's $4 for a bag. These are okay but aren't special. Fun times and a knowledgeable staff about beer. It gets kind of expensive on some especially the stronger ones. There's not much to eat except pretzels but sometimes there's food trucks.

Really cool Brewery with some of the best beers I have had. Came in on a Thursday night with the hubski and the frenny. David is awesome behind the bar, he talks with the customers and we ask questions and he is always engaging. We got a flight to try some brews. Here are some of my faves: 1. Learned on the street (oatmeal cookie stout) - I got a 4 pack to take home as well...I LOVE stouts 2.1853 (vanilla cream ale) 3. The lake life (Blueberry wheat) 4. All oolong the watchtower (oolong tea pale ale) 5. Fuzz and the flower (peach and elderflower mead) - this is done by an outside meadery Love this little spot and will definitely stop by again

    2nd flight!

This place had been on my radar to try for over a year and I finally was able to get out to Lockport to give them a try. My boyfriend and I shared 2 flights so we could try a little of everything. By far our favorite was the ParasaurHopolous. Their Octoberfest styles were also delicious. The fest friends is a collaboration from tangled roots. Cute place. I would recommend! They lost 1 star for me because the cost of their flight was slightly higher than other nearby breweries and service was slightly slow. I would recommend if you are in Lockport to try out!

Good location, atmosphere and service...but, it's a brewery, so why is the BEER a subpar disaster?

Tried a 3rd table....very sticky but I stayed at the 3rd table. Had the blue cheese burger. It was good; definitely hand made; not frozen. Had a very nice char on the outside. Not the best burger ever, but good. The fries were Sad. Other reviews said fries were amazing. So I was excited to try. Mine were extremely cold. I assume made maybe during busy lunch... and cold by the time I was there at 1pm? I didn't bother requesting new fries. Just left them alone and finished my burger. The staff went above and beyond -- thank you Ann, Nicole, and Maddie, especially Ann for making everything run seamlessly and stress-free. The venue's industrial-chic vibe -- exposed brick, metal beams, wood barn doors, high ceilings, and soft lights -- created such a romantic atmosphere that we barely needed to decorate. The food was incredible (our guests are still talking about the mashed potatoes!), and the chicken was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and high quality, just like every visit we've made since booking our date a year ago. If you're looking for a beautiful, well-run Lockport venue with amazing food and service, Embers is it.

Our waitress seemed overwhelmed with the amount of tables she was handling and just overall grumpy. I can understand that doing separate checks for a large group might not be fun, but she just seemed irritable the whole time until we gave her a decent tip. She directed us to get our own water from the self-serve station. I did like that I could do the wine flight from the table vs. they only offer the 6 wine tasting from the bar. I was a little disappointed that no one explained which wine was which, and I was left guessing when I ordered all sweet wines and a couple that looked very similar. When I later wanted to order a glass, I apparently picked the wrong one, but none of them were horrible so that was OK. I also ordered the small charcuterie plate, which was a perfect snack plate. Some of our party ordered flatbreads and wraps, which also looked really good, so I would definitely try this place again. This place doesn't seem like they're that good at accommodating large groups as they only have small round tables they had pushed together, but we made it work. They seemed a bit understaffed for a Saturday afternoon. If you like sweet wines, my favorite was the Sweet Purple Lady, followed by Blackberry. I took a bottle home.

The grape stomping is a great way to dance away your stress. Everyone was adulting and socializing with one another. They had many activities for the adults and children.
