Located in the beautiful 5th Street Public Market shopping center, Nike by Eugene falls short of its potential. Finding a parking spot was a huge hassle, and I ended up having to pay for street parking just to visit. My in-store experience didn't get much better; I spent 15 minutes inside, only one of two customers in the store, and was never once approached by an employee for help with shoe sizes or finding the right product. Not helpful. As far as the product selection, this store offers premium Nike products, typically new releases or top sellers. So don't expect to find any discounted products at this location. Currently, lifestyle products dominate shelf space. From leggings and outerwear to Blazer sneakers and footwear, this store trends more to the athleisure side of fashion than strictly workout gear. And while Ducks fans could find an assortment of fan apparel during football season, Nike by Eugene has replaced its UO team section with a dance-themed space. As a Nike fan, I was disappointed with the product selection & experience at this store.

I assumed that if you wait by the shoes that a sales person would help me, since the person that was behind me was helped immediately when also looking at shoes. I sat down looking at the shoe I wanted to possible purchase, so I waited. Other customer purchased their shoes as I waited. More customers came in, and sales rep immediately went to other customers, then asked another customer if they needed help. I waited a little longer, then went to cashier for someone to help me. Of course, my shoes weren't available after waiting about 20 mins. I don't want to speculate why I wasn't help over other customers, but just bad form.

Got new color AJ 1's! Nice!

I don't think the selection is as big as I want it to be, but they carry the core of Nikes product line, and represent it, well. My step son and I went down Monday evening and received excellent service. We selected our shoes, asked for a couple different sizes, sent back for a couple of other sizes and promptly received our new selections. Proceeded to the counter, had a very cheerful, smiling, lady help us. She offered for us to sign up for the app on our mobile device and this gave us 15% off our entire purchase. Excellent service and then to provide us a way to get 15% off. We couldn't have asked for more. I've heard some not so positive comments about this store. I'm glad I went and evaluated my own experience, because it was EXCELLENT! Thank you again to the lady working at 5:54 pm on Labor Day - you made our day!

Wondered around the store for a good ten minutes. No sales person ever approached me. No employee gave a general greeting upon entry. Lingered in the shoes to see if I would get the expected, "May I help you?" given the group of employees standing around. Nothing. Left the store due to the poor customer service.

That doesn't mean that many items are wallet-friendly, but if you want to run with the big dogs, then you gotta get off the porch. The Ducks are known for green & UO Yellow (it's a thing; the color even has its own hex & Pantone codes), but that doesn't limit the Duck Store merch. Black, white, green(s), and more are splashed about the top two levels whether clothing, regalia, keepsakes, and lots, lots more. Weather gear (even a $500 'raincoat'), hoodies aplenty, hats, and athletic garb in sizes for men, women, & kiddies is seemingly everywhere. And it ain't just the big sports that are repped, no, you can support men's & women's athletics for any program at UO (shoutout women's lacrosse!). The top level is more specific for women's items, children's items, and the infrequent clearance items. The Duck Store can get cramped, so if you need to escape, upstairs is your play. The downstairs is for actual school supplies, artsy items, and more, reminding us that this IS an actual university and not just a power brand in sporting apparel. Prices are, well, pricey, because good merch costs good money. There are some non-branded items that are more budget-friendly, but the featured stuff has trademark mouths to feed, so pony up your hard-earned nickel. You are not likely to find a lot of help on the floor, or parking, but the stop is worth the time. So: wear green, be loud, and... SCO Ducks!

The first floor is apparel and gifts, stuffed animals, that sort of thing. You'll find stuff for your game day experience down here, like your duck lips and stuff. The second floor is generally where the textbooks and school supplies are housed, so between terms it's pretty sparse up there. Kids stuff, clearance items, and women's apparel is upstairs as well. Parking is on the street only but it's really weird--I have never seen anything so strange for parking, I don't think. They've changed 13th here to diagonal parking, but it's diagonal that requires you to back into the spot. Why didn't they make them diagonal the other direction (or even better, straight spots so they could get another space or two)? It's paid parking so either download the app or look for the parking box.

I contacted the Duck store for warranty information in which the manufacturer had none. So through a serious of emails, Ryan and Alex were able to send me a new one. I would shop at this place again and again when I visit every year.

We walk in, to be greeted by silence. Total and complete silence. I look over a rack in time to see this nerdy-looking douche staring in our direction from the cash register. We make eye contact, which is the perfect opening to greet us. Does he take it? Nope. Ok, well the Oregon Sports employees have never been famous for their customer service, no matter which location you visit. I'm in the middle of a discussion with my husband, and I hear his name yelled. Apparently he worked with our douche of an employee like a year ago. So, he's distracted. Which means I have plenty of time to wander and find things. Sadly, find things I did! We ended up spending almost $150. Apparently he was in a good mood last night and bought me everything I wanted. Lol. Failing that, he felt bad for making me go to that crappy bar I just finished reviewing. Either way I found some great Nike shirts and a hat. I'm picky about my Duck gear and wear exclusively Nike for that. I found a good selection and was impressed. Nathan found one shirt, I believe. Everything else was mine. There's a single mirror in the women's section, that's completely hidden/camouflaged, and I had to ask where it was. There's no fitting room. My only saving grace is I was wearing multiple shirts, so I can try stuff on over them if needed. I was not impressed by this though. So douche (I forget his name, as he's not important enough to remember) previously worked with my husband. There was some sort of personality conflict between him and the managers. Somehow after listening to him, I could see why. Customer service is huge in my husband's job. This guy fit in far better at Oregon Sports, where he wasn't required to have any customer service skills. I was impressed by the selection in this store, although small and cramped, it deserves 3-4 stars. The customer service is a 1 star shit show. So that's why it gets 2 stars. Will I return? Probably, but not in the near future. My husband already paid a small fortune for his whim. I doubt he'll be excited to let me in there loose again. Lol.

But, on this particular day I was in search of gear for my little one Kash who was a little over a year and a half..this kid loves "Ducks" and any SPORTS ball in general!!! He's a FANATIC and I love it!! But, the young girl working there that day was not a fan! We had the store literally to ourselves and my son for a year and a half is very well behaved..but there's BALLS and DUCKS EVERYWHERE within his reach. So he wants to play with all of it at one time!! LOL!! He was in heaven!! Like I said, we had the store to ourselves. It was a ghost town there that day and it happened to be an away game (TV) that day..Back on topic. So, my original goal was to find gear for him. He spotted a duck hat in his size immediately and put it on backwards (never wearing a hat before in his young life) kid amazes me! Next to that are clothes mostly for girls it felt..or unisex..I just didn't see what I was looking for in his size..I asked the girl if I was just not seeing "little kid or boy stuff" at this point she was already irritated that my son was playing with every ball in sight..I was letting him have fun since we were the ONLY ones in the store! She begrudgingly said it's "all in this area" and most is unisex..I had accumulated a small pile of items on the counter while picking up ball after ball repeatedly..so I figured I'd BUY a set of mini Duck ones they had so she would be less irritated with him..It didn't work..so I carried him around vs...hearing her complain..by the time I had picked out about $300 in items I was so stressed out about her annoyance with my sports crazed son..I was ready to leave! Would I go back? Yes, they have great stuff there! Will I "not take my son" next time? HELL NO! Just because you hate your job or kids? I'm not killing the EMENSE JOY my son has for (the) Ducks or Sports! Btw, the items little ones can reach near the floor are dusty and full of cobwebs!!
