The styles here are very cute and up to date. It has good sports bra and outerwear selections. I think overall, the store should have more to offer considering how much real estate it has. A shadow of its former self. I usually anticipate shopping here for lots of stock and coverage of the wide variety of product lines - outdoors, hoops, baseball, soccer, tennis, golf, all ages genders etc. Now? way too much empty bare space with very limited merchandise not much beyond what you can get at your local Champs or Footlocker. 4 floors of meh. Looked more like the end of a going out of business sale. On the plus side, being in town, the SNKRS app sent me a sneaker pass for some new Jordan 1's. I asked at the counter but was told to come back tomorrow on the availability day. so I did. They were closed without notice. - for several days. shut out again. Basically Nike gave up on this store and the store gave up on Chicago. Adidas does 3 times as much with 1/10 the space in their store. Hugely disappointing. read more

Huge store and they have everything you would need from Nike. Unfortunately, being assisted is a less than stellar experience. I was literally one of the only customers in the store, knew exactly what i wanted with item number/photo and it was jumping through hoops to break up employee conversations to ask for help and when i finally received assistance, they looked at me like i was an inconvenience for wanting to give them my money! Also, for covid, they do not enforce if a customer isn't wearing a mask and they don't clean between customers. read more

I'm very displeased with what I received, I order shoes overnight for an event and what I received a pair of AirMax 90 toddler shoe that looks to have been returned and then shipped to me, when I called to discuss the matter and let them know that I needed the shoes for an event it's like they didn't care!! Edit: Before I get any ignorant comments about how I should have stayed home, I write about issues other than the COVID response. Plus, Illinois has had one of the lowest rate of COVID cases in the country so it has been relatively safe to walk around in public. If your takeaway is to blame an individual for not staying home vs a multi-billion dollar corporation for their lackluster COVID response, then enjoy online shopping for perpetuity. I agree with other reviews that this Nike is more a tourist trap than a place to reliably find a good selection athletic wear or equipment. There were positive things they did to reopen (wearing masks, hand sanitizers, limit capacity), but there are also many problems I found with their management. 1. They did not enforce the 6 foot distance standard. One couple behind us kept creeping closer and closer to us while queuing. All while chit chatting with an employee who was oblivious that there is a pandemic still going on. 2. They should ask customers to wear masks as they are waiting in line. Both the family in front of us and the couple behind us (both parties were white, *surprise*) felt they had no obligation to keep their masks on despite the large gathering of people. 3. It was very unclear where people should start lining up. One of the employees told me and my partner to go to the back of the line because there were people who came before us - but they were not even standing in line. On a different note, they have a terrible selection. Shoe section is small and they only carry shoes that are at least $120. Barely any accessories like gym bags, which is what I had came for. The entire first floor is a bunch of limited edition stuff that most people wouldn't wear. Save your time and sign up for a Nike account and get free shipping. Overall, the employees should be more concerned about maintaining safety as it is pretty clear that Americans, especially older white folk, display such a cavalier attitude towards it. While it is necessary to maintain an orderly line, I don't appreciate the employees showing more concern about who's first in line than enforcing face masks and the 6ft distance. read more

It is what is and that's an overpriced tourist trap on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. But it does have high quality gear in most sports and the customer service the few times I've purchased something has been pretty good. I do recommend coming during a weekday when it's a lot less crowded and you can take your time looking around. If you are looking for sales this isn't your place to shop. read more

If you want a reason to switch brands away from Nike, just visit this sh%#thole. I can't believe how awful it is to get any customer service. I was here to exchange a pair of shoes. It took forever to get anyone's help. The employees were just chatting with each other. I actually abandoned my plan when my wife made me go back to just return the shoes so i wasn't carrying them around all night. This time I got the attention of an employee who literally walked away in the middle of our conversation to hug another employee and then never came back. Won't ever visit this store again. And seriously reconsider any loyalty I have to Nike. read more

When we saw this while we were wandering around shopping I was really anxious to go in and see if there was any unique Chicago Nike gear. Coming in at 5 floors I think my expectations were prematurely set way too high. As you enter they have a huge display to the left of the new JOY padded shoes. As we went deeper into the first level, they did have some unique Chicago gear, but literally every item was related to the Chicago marathon. Most people if they aren't running in an event don't want to buy products advertising it. Ok, no problem, off to the next floor. Basically some Chicago team stuff, but to be honest nothing really cool. Third floor, women's, was a little better. 4th floor was kids, we didn't look here. 5th floor was restrooms. Very disappointed and spent very little time here. Wouldn't be in a hurry to return. read more

If I could give a Zero stars I would! My teenage daughters were thrilled to go to the Nike store... but as soon as we walked in... Nothing but regret! They had a DJ who was literally blowing peoples eardrums out. So incredibly loud and ridiculous. The only thing the music did was make us want to leave the store. You couldn't even ask a question to the staff as they couldn't hear you. The staff looked more miserable then I felt.. more then likely because they were trapped there losing their hearing 1 minute at a time. We tend to always shop at Nike stores in every city we visit. No real reason behind, it just always happens that way. My daughter always "happens" to find something lol. First we stopped in next door at the pop up shop, Nike Lab. The actual Nike store is a pretty nice spacious store. Short staffed. Waited a pretty long time to get sneakers. No fault of the sales associate as he was the only one in the women's section. No registers open on any floor other than 1st floor. Long line at register. Staff talking to each other as they were ringing customers up. I said hello and I didn't get a response. Wow, rude! Our sales associate then went on to have a whole discussion with a customer behind us about the shirt that he was wearing. Hello. Can you ring us up so we can leave? You can talk to him as soon as we are done. Unbelievable. Not cool. This has to be one of the worst customer service that I have ever received in a Nike store. I'm only giving it a 2 because I do like the layout of the store and our sales associate was so helpful and friendly. read more

This large Nike store is fun to stop, easy to find something on every floor from all sports. I have many Nike shoes for obstacle running, marathon, triathlon and strength exercising. And their clothing is awesome; I like their fitted shirts, Nike Pro as well as their 7 inch shorts. Overall I'll keep coming back, on weekends they are very busy but manageable. read more

Are still in the process of Nike by You. Our daughter has always been a Nike fan/collector. We did custom designs for a pair of AF 1's. They told us they would be done in 30 minutes. That was 20 minutes before they went on a hour break. So rather than tell us to come back at 2:30, we wasted almost two hours waiting for them to open, start on the shoes and finish. Fix the problem and simply give people an accurate time for pick up. Our time is as valuable as yours...and I've already paid you for yours. read more

Went in there today, kinda disappointed because although the employee in Lab was very helpful and super nice, there was a bit of a crowd upstairs with only one employee. When I got back down to the first floor there was about 9 employees on that floor. Pretty unnecessary if you ask me. I think they should distribute their employees evenly on all floors. read more

This is a tough one ... I like Nike and am huge fan of Nike products and have been in many Nike Town stores in different cities. By far this one had the worst service, to be fair there were some good associates that were at least trying to help, but in customer service consistency is the key, and if the guys on the third floor are going to ignore me while I patiently wait for them to finish their personal stories only to get annoyed when I assertively interrupt to ask a question, and then proceed to give me the briefest, vaguest possible answer with rotten attitude - wrong !!! My $$$ will be spent elsewhere - Nike please please please ... get some management involved here- you have a great location and good potential, never mind the amount of tourists who come in the store and get the wrong impression of what service you can expect in Chicago. read more

Really looked forward to this store. I have an older pair of 95's that I love and hoped to add a newer pair. The downstairs staff was very friendly. The top floor (mens) seemed to care less if we were there or not. I went in two different days this week and didn't get attended to either time. I'll find them somewhere else. I haven't been here in forever! While perusing Michigan Avenue, I was really curious about the new Nike + running shoes. It was a weekend and it was crowded. The place really hasn't changed in years. I like how the floors and sections were divided into specific sports. It made shopping easier. The employees were helpful and truly seemed to enjoy their jobs. The top floor of running shoes was a little too crowded for me to actually get neat the shoes I needed to checkout. Oh well, I'll come on a non-weekend next time. read more

This is my first time at this place. This place was recommended by my brother. He said that the quality of their fabric was good. He likes its 100% pure cotton fabric. As I entered the atmosphere was chill because of a white painted wall and the aircon itself. The clothes were hanging and organized well. I went first to the selection of a shirt. I like their statement design shirts. I bought 3 shirts. I also bought 2 pairs for my brother. He likes white color so I choose it. I'm sure that he will love it. Next I went to a selection of pants. They have different kinds of pants. From free size to fit. It's nice that they have baggy pants that match the shirt that I bought. What makes this Niketown special? Chicago is a big city and this Nike store is an obvious flagship to one of the great cities in the USA. One of Nike's long time lines is Air Jordan or just Jordans named after the great Michael Jordan himself who is a legend in sport and he just happened to play in the great city of Chicago. That being said there is a display of an annual iteration of Jordans by year. It's pretty cool to say the least. That and there is an entire section of the store dedicated to Jordan with unique Chicago stuff there too. For the most part Nike has sections for the different featured athletic lines and areas for varying sports and themes. This store does a nice job of putting everything on display and making things much different than just a Finish Line or Champs etc. I thought the customer service here was great. I needed help and a service representative named Malik was very helpful and fast. When I went to pay I was in line and was paying by credit and was taken aside to have my transaction taken care of through an iPhone instead of the counter. read more

Store Review: Over priced check, wide selection check, name brand definitely. I have never bought anything from Nike Town before, but it is a great place to check out the newest Nike products in the middle of the Mag Mile. You can't go wrong with millions of tourist streaming in to this store. The store itself is many levels with so many pairs of shoes that you can't even count them all. There never appears to be anything on sale. Impossible, even though I have original box, American Express statement showing date, store & amount. The have a 60 day breaking in return policy and 3 year warranty but without store receipt they tell you sorry. Who keeps a store receipt when you have a record of your credit card. It was not that long ago when Niketown was a big deal on Michigan Avenue. When this store opened its doors in 1992, the Chicago Bulls were at the height of its dominance in the NBA, and the most famous Nike spokesman was the legendary Michael Jordan. Nowadays it just seems like a tourist stop with Nike stuff on display. I can't imagine any locals buying anything at this place, but it's nice to browse. read more
