The food here is excellent. The sushi is always fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every roll we ordered was delicious! Unfortunately, the service does not match the quality of the meal. Our server was inattentive, drinks took a long time to arrive, and we often had to flag someone down when we needed assistance. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, which made the experience even more disappointing. This was now the third time I've visited and continue to have the same issue.

Our server Jude is so sweet! Explained everything and great about timing dishes to our preferences. Sushi chef Danny was a hoot. Ambiance was great, music was a bit slow. Would have loved a bit livelier or poppier but otherwise great experience! My friend and I are in town for a day and came for omakase dinner. Reviews were great and they definitely lived up. We happened to come on a Thursday night when they do a live tuna cutting. Everything is most definitely fresh here!

Tucked away near some parking in the shopping center, probably doesn't get much exposure but seems like a hidden gem! Lunch special is off the charts! Had the special and a couple of rolls, but didn't realize the lunch special rolls were like 10 pieces each. So much food! Come give it a shot.

Tried Nikko for lunch and was not disappointed, it was absolutely delicious! I had the Nabeyaki Udon, which had the broth in a tea kettle for an added touch of elegance. The one thing I would have changed was to hold off on the bonito flakes, they overpowered the broth. I ended up taking them out after eating a few of them. Overall tasty tho. The sushi was delicious and I had a few bites of salmon and a California roll. Chicken teriyaki was also very good. I want to try the Matsunomi Cream pasta next time, but I wasn't in a pasta mood at lunch. There are so many intriguing dishes here that I need to come back and try but definitely give this place a try if you are in Southlake!

Every dish is great and delicious. We ordered garlic butter edamame, trinity mushrooms, hot stone rice with lobster, teriyaki chicken, fried whole fish and udon

Where to begin. From the moment you walk in the door the staff greets you with warmth and hospitality. The service was exceptional. We booked the Thursday evening tuna cutting. We came all the way from Missouri to visit this restaurant and we had no idea what to expect. Our server was knowledgeable and gave us some tips and recommendations on how to pace our evening. Started the evening with a cocktail from their extensive drink menu and a few small plates of sushi. The food was spectacular. Each dish was better than the last. Of course, room was saved for the main event, the tuna. The show was entertaining and fascinating to watch. The energy in the space was electric. It was so much fun and a must do if you are in the area. Additional info: Location: Promenade Parking: Easy and plentiful Recommendations: Arrive early and get a few plates before the tuna cutting. Once the show is over, orders flow in and the speed in which orders are filled slows.

Nikko appeared on my Yelp search as one of the top spots for lunch in the Southlake area, so I came in with high expectations. Not only did it meet my expectations, it exceeded them on all counts. Consequently, this place gets my most superior rating, one that goes on top of my 5-stars, and that's the Kurt V "Wowza" award! If you follow my reviews you will note I have given the "Wowza" rating less than 5 times in almost 2300 reviews and 12 years of doing this...yes this place is THAT good! Walking in, it's an earthy, classy, and woodsy look with modern lighting. The place is spacious with a nice patio for outside dining. The service was first class. Personable, friendly, yet professional. My interactions we're comfortable and natural. The food was amazing. I ordered the lunch Bento Box with a Tuna Tower. It came with Soup, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Cucumber Salad, Salmon Tar Tar, House Salad, California Roll and then the Tuna Tower. It was a big lunch, and everything was delicious! This place is definitely a repeater!

Ambiance is great for small groups. Food was good but not memorable as far as the lunch bento boxes go. The ube dessert was really good though! The portions for the food is smaller so order a lot or don't go when you're hungry.

The food is absolutely on point very fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I honestly wish I lived closer because this spot is definitely worth the drive. We tried a couple of rolls and a hot dish, and everything was outstanding. The ingredients were super fresh, and the flavors really stood out. The restaurant is located in Southlake Town Square, and it has a modern, lively vibe. There's a great energy in the room a steady hum of conversation and excitement. Be sure to make a reservation. This place fills up fast, and for good reason!

Girls night! We did an unplanned girl's night dinner and found ourselves at Nikko. The restaurant was very busy and we were able to get a table without reservations. We ordered so many dishes and not all were pictured. Sorry friends! They were THAT good. Sebastian - our servicer was amazing and delivered perfect service in the chaos. The smoked carpaccio was amazing. Highly recommend. The fish were all very fresh. The rolls were all very delicious and the dessert was the perfect way to end the night!

What Nikko did the best out of all the other omakase I've been to is presentation. They brought out all the fish, hung it up in front of you, then explain what you're about to eat. Very cool. They have this one salmon dish where they hang 3 slices of fish over a bar then light a fire underneath. Even the appetizer dishes are presented in this extravagant setup. The sushi taste normal, like the other omakase places. The dessert was actually pretty good, it was this taro cake thing... I was very surprised. The environment can be loud since the omakase seatings are mixed in with the rest of the restaurant. This can be entertaining because the other guests can see all the fancy presentation as well.

I was sat quickly at the bar, and then seemed to be forgotten about. I did wait a while before a man came to me to take my drink order, and then things progressed quickly. Though everyone who ended up being sat after me were immediately taken care of. I ordered the sushi and sashimi bento box. I sat at the sushi bar so I was able to watch how things were prepared. Everything comes out quickly, as all of the proteins are pre sliced and ready to go. They were busy and the turn around is quick. They also do a lot of to go orders, and those were stacked up by the front door. I thought the quality of the fish was good for the price. I really liked the ginger dressing that comes on the salad, though it is a wild color. The gyoza just tasted like frozen dumplings you can buy at the store, and then deep fried. But they were good. The rice was cooked properly, and not mushy at all. The only thing I didn't care for was the California roll. It was super goopy and just tasted like mayo. I had to leave that alone. The atmosphere is very noisy and if you are sitting at the sushi bar, you hear the constant beeping of their order machine. I may try them again for dinner if it is a bit quieter, or takout seems like a good option, though there is no online ordering on their website.

When I try out a new place I typically go for their sushi bento. You get a little variety of things in a charming presentation. I loved that you got to choose your two sides. The sushi and sashimi are set and it comes with a salad, miso soup, and several options to choose from. I got the California roll and the vegetable tempura. They also had shrimp tempura, gyoza, egg rolls, seaweed salad, squid salad, and vegetable croquettes. There were two lovely ladies working the tables and two men behind the sushi counter. There were only about four other tables there when I was, but I did see people coming in for takeout. The service was fast and friendly. I was also pleased to see the chefs behind the sushi bar preparing everything to order. It was so fresh. The sashimi was cut thick and had the perfect texture. The nigiri was not too much for one bite. The tempura was perfectly fried and crunchy, and the salad was cold and refreshing. It was a lot of food and I couldn't finish it. But it was SO satisfying. It felt like a treat. The atmosphere was clean and calm. I very much enjoyed my lunch and I will definitely come back.

I like that they have combinations (e.g. filet mignon&chicken). We loved the filet mignon. The chicken was a little dry both times we have ordered it; ask the hibachi chef for some of the teriyaki sauce on the side. I am not a shrimp fan, but shrimp in their yum yum sauce - holy cow! I am seriously considering ordering shrimp and scallops as my meal next time, because the seafood in yum yum sauce is amazing here. The staff is super friendly and readily accommodated my husband's endless requests. (Can I get mine with a double portion of fried rice? Two soups instead of soup and salad? A dish of that teriyaki sauce on the side?) Our favorite hibachi chef is Antonio. He was creative, friendly, and jived well with the family extroverts. The interior looks classiest after dark because of the lighting, so we will make a habit of coming more often in the winter. In the daylight it's just all right. The noise level and seating arrangements may make it difficult to have a conversation with more than one or two other people at your table, which is common in a hibachi restaurant. There was also a vent in the exhaust hood that rattled loudly over my head the whole time, but we were still able to carry on a conversation between four of us when we brought my husband's parents. Overall a decent choice for a good hibachi dinner.

I ordered the sushi lunch, it came with five pieces of chef selected nigiri and a California roll. The roll could have been tighter. The first piece I picked up, the filling fell out. Though I did appreciate that they use the pieces of krab instead of a krab salad mix. It was fine but nothing to write home about. The nigiri was a bummer. The texture was kind of chewy, like it had been frozen too long. Not that it was bad, it smelled and tasted fine, but I would rate this on par with grocery store quality. The salad was cold and crunchy but pretty flavorless and was half full of liquid on the bottom. The waitress asked me if I wanted anything else while I was still eating and brought the check. I was still out of there a half hour before closing time, but apparently not fast enough. The price point was surprisingly low, especially for this area, but I found no value in it.
