We came here around noon on a Tuesday. The place was nearly empty, therefore we were seated rather quickly. We had one sushi roll to share (Shaggy dog) and the beef bulgogi with dumpling and fried shrimp. The dumpling and shrimp were just ok, nothing to ride home about. The overall vibe is chill and casual, perfect for almost all occasions.

Came back to this restaurant on a Friday and it's lent. Treated myself to a lobster and shrimp hibachi. Now the only thing I will have to say that it needed a ginger dipping sauce or something. They did provide teriyaki sauce but it was too sweet for my liking. Overall it was good. My daughter ordered the ultimate dragon roll sushi which was good. Service was fast and attentive. My water was constantly refilled without asking. I love when the service is attentive. The ambiance was nice. Restaurant was very nice.

This place is genuinely has one of the best if not the best rolls i've ever had. I took my mom for dinner and the staff was absolutely AMAZING! they are so kind and made the experience so unforgettable. I suggest ordering the Nacho, Vegas and Tiger roll they are out of this world. They were even so kind as to give us their amazing mocho ice cream!

Came in for the lunch special on a Monday afternoon and I'm so glad I did! The restaurant has a more formal style of atmosphere, but still welcoming enough for a casual meal. I tried the bento box special which entails: miso soup, salad (with your dressing of choice), 2 sides and a base entree. I chose seaweed salad and shrimp tempura as my sides. Bento box lunch special price ranging from approximately $15-24 lish before tax/tip depending on the entree base you choose. The miso soup was served piping hot and was sooo flavorful. Prob the best quality miso I've had! But the teriyaki steak was absolutely the star of the show. So tender and full of good flavor. I was sooo full and satisfied. Service was amazing as well. I was frequently checked on by my server Alisha . She was very kind and professional. Very great lunch deal as I spent ~$21 with tax + tip. Will most definitely be back again to try out other options on the menu!

The reviews of this place must be from their own staff or friends... The service is good, but the quality of the sushi (hand roll, sashimi, and rolls) is very mediocre and small-- stingy to say the least. The menu is also outdated and without price. The sashimi is unevenly cut, some very thin, as if they chose which one to cut less on... Unless they update their portion size, I think even half the price is just "acceptable." Overall, this is not a place to eat a complete meal. It's quite sad, disappointing, and unfortunate we left as if we had appetizers for $30 per person.

I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and declare this place as the best sushi restaurant in Southlake! Never mind that its the only sushi restaurant I've visited in Southlake. But in all seriousness, I've been to plenty of places in neighboring cities and this one really is among the best. So I can see why they have such glowing reviews. We got the spicy edamame and the Yellowtail Heaven as appetizers. The Yellowtail Heaven was so good that we ended up ordering a second one. Then we got the No Problem, Tropicana, Special Dragon, lobster and double tuna rolls along with tuna sashimi. Each one was like a work of art and tasted just as delicious as they were beautiful. I couldn't pick a favorite because everything was so exceptional. Also, they get bonus points for bringing all the rolls out at the same time. I can't remember the last time I went to a sushi place that did that. At the end of our meal they surprised us with a complimentary dessert which I can only describe as a kind of ice cream sandwich, beyond that I don't know what else was in them. What I do know is that they tasted great. The final pleasant surprise was when the bill came. Unlike many other sushi places, our stellar meal actually didn't cost a small fortune.

The seared salmon here is some of the best I've ever had. If you have an opportunity to eat in we love sitting at the sushi bar, the sushi chefs are very friendly and make excellent suggestions.

I came in for a quick lunch and saw that they had very affordable lunch combos. Got the udon and spicy salmon combo for only $14. The udon broth was a bit sweet in my opinion but the roll was great! Really fresh salmon. All the staff were super nice.

Best sushi in town!! Great service and amazing food! 10 out of 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sushi Sakana rolled out a hand reel on social media (I saw it on IG) featuring their new hand rolls, and I immediately made plans to go try them out. For the price, they were amazing. There was a set of 3 and a set of 5 for $39, I went with the 5 plus an extra one. If you have a chance, definitely worth checking them out for the deal! Our waitress was very attentive, was patient with us while we were deciding, and let us the ins and outs of the menu when we had questions. For a thawed out Thursday night after the ice storm, the restaurant was almost full when I arrived around 6:30pm.

I ordered sushi from sushi sakana southlake on UberEats while staying at the Gaylord because it was one of the few places that was open late. I opted for an eel and avocado roll, cucumber roll, and seaweed salad. The eel roll was okay, a little too sweet, but definitely still edible! The cucumber roll was standard (there is no way to mess this up). The salad was not good. After receiving my order, I realized just how much I was overcharged on UberEats, so I'd recommend ordering directly, if you can.

The best sushi in Southlake! Friendly staff and chefs at sushi counter -- here is what we order -- we have it down to a science now! Miso Soup -- flavorful and piping hot with plenty of tofu and seaweed Agadashe Tofu -- super hot tofu nice sized pieces and lightly breaded with nice dipping sauce Sushi and Sashimi Combo -- generous thick slices of fish and super fresh yellowtail, tuna and salmon -- beautiful presentation -- looks like art Tempura Udon -- kids love soup thick noodles and yummy fried veggies and shrimp -- the zucchini and sweet potato are super tasty Mango Tango Rolll - fresh for summer, add jalapeño for extra kick, light and perfect blend citrus and crunch and salmon Excellent service too! Everyone happy and having fun! Love the cricket videos too -- has a modern and trendy vibe with warm attention!

The portions are also huge Our server was wonderful from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, and checked on us often without being overbearing. The service was honestly the best part of the experience. We started with the Sichuan calamari, and this was easily the highlight of the meal. It was perfectly crispy, the glaze had just the right amount of sweetness and heat, and the seasoning gave it a nice kick without overpowering the calamari. It was one of the best calamari dishes I've had and definitely raised my expectations for everything that followed. Next was the tenderloin bruschetta, and unfortunately this one just didn't work for me. The flavors didn't come together, and it was much saltier than it needed to be. It felt like there were too many things happening on the plate without much balance. I wouldn't order it again. For the entrées, the Chilean Sea Bass was very good. The fish was flaky and cooked well, the risotto was creamy, and the sauce brought everything together without being too heavy. It was one of the stronger dishes we ordered. The lobster stuffed ravioli was another solid choice. The filling was generous, there was plenty of lobster on top, and the vodka sauce complemented everything nicely without taking over. It was rich but still well balanced. We also tried the New Zealand rack of lamb. This one had mixed reviews at our table. It wasn't as tender as I was hoping, but I didn't dislike it and again I didn't love it! The blackened exterior and the wine reduction gave it good flavor, but it just wasn't particularly memorable. My favorite entrée ended up being the tomahawk pork chop. The pork itself was juicy, flavorful, and cooked really well. I wasn't a huge fan of the pineapple bourbon glaze since I didn't think it added much to the dish, but the quality of the meat made up for it. We also had the strawberry spinach salad, which was fresh and a nice lighter option alongside all the richer dishes. Then there was also a side dish with green beans and almond and again no complains there. Overall, I left feeling a little conflicted. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was great, and the portions were very generous. The food itself was a mix of really good dishes and others that completely missed the mark. After such an incredible start with the calamari, I expected the rest of the meal to be on the same level, but it just never got there. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't think it's a place I'd rush back to.

I decided to leave my phone at home since this was a dinner date with my husband. Well they have NO physical menus according to our server. To me that is not a good thing. However, I was provided with an IPad to scroll the menu. Water was brought to table and we each ordered a drink. I ordered the cucumber smash. The drink was delicious but took quite some time to be delivered. My husband got soda and lime and his came out quickly. Service at this point is a bit slow. The place is a bit loud and plays club music -this IS NOT a club. It is finer dining and you have to listen to the same beat over and over and over -not a fan! We were dining inside. I do believe the roof top is different. We ordered the warm goat cheese. It was served in a skillet and very warm. However the toast was soft and not crunchy or firm at all and cold. It had been toasted and had burn marks and was beautiful but then soaked in butter to soften and then very cold. Would not order again. My husband had Beef Carpaccio-he loved it-not my thing. For dinner we shared Lemon Butter Salmon & Shrimp $40 Blackened salmon and shrimp drizzled with a rich lemon butter sauce, served over fragrant saffron rice and grilled broccolini And we both did not like it at all. The saffron rice honestly made me gag and did not like the flavor. The salmon was dry and there wasn't even a hint of any lemon. The shrimp was good and broccolini was delicious. So for $100 we left hungry and had mediocre service. We will go back for roof top seating but never again indoors
