Service was great here -- our hibachi chef was super great and kept it light hearted. We had the grill to ourselves and it was pretty quiet on a Tuesday night. The food was good but could have been better. I tried some of the chicken and shrimp hibachi, and the veggies had the best flavor. I also had the Cherry Blossom sushi roll and a bite of the Maverick roll. Both were very good. Our table shared the pecan crusted seared ahi and it was an absolute slam dunk. Super tasty. Walking in on a Summer day the ambiance here was refreshing! It was nice and cool, nice vibe, and great service! The food here was just ok for me though. I ordered the Hibachi Filet Mignon Lunch. A few of the pieces were inedibly grissly, and the flavor was pretty bland. The fried rice ($3.99 extra) was pretty greasy and did not have a whole lot of anything other than rice in it. We completed a work celebration here at lunch. We had a reservation however we were the only guests from start to finish. The service was quick, the food was good, and the pricing was on par for other hibachi experiences. I will say I was sad when they wouldn't do a spicy chicken rice they don't cook with any spicy stuff. They did end up bring spice on the side but that's my favorite so i got a little sad. But honestly - the food was great. I did let them know it was a celebration but they didn't do any special for the team but i would revisit due to the quality of the food, speed and portion size. Food was awful. Snapper was long ago FROZEN and the scent lingered. Chicken was hard, chewy and stringy. Flavor weird. Fried rice tasted like it was from a week ago- also hard and dried out! Also awful. Soup was tasty and almost luke warm. Left over chicken got ground up for the pup because even he couldn't eat it as it was prepared by the restaurant. I went in to this location for lunch and the hostess refused to seat me because I didn't have a party or two or more with me and it was against company policy. I told her I had come here until times alone and never had an issue, but she continued to argue with me and wouldn't let me sit down to eat. My husband and I were in the area for quick weekend getaway with our kids. He briefly mentioned hibachi and I thought it would be a good idea, turns out. . .it was a GREAT idea. We loved it. The area surrounding this location is super clean and not a piece of paper anywhere! Anyway. . .we definitely enjoyed our experience here. The service was great, so was the food!!! My kids are really picky with their food but luckily they enjoyed everything that they had. I also had one of their sushi rolls which was awesome! Came here on a Friday night and it was the worst dining experience I have had in a while, and that is saying a lot. The sushi rolls fell apart, they brought us our edamame appetizer at the end of the meal, in an empty place they sat us next to the loud drunks at the sushi bar, and we were ignored by the wait staff because they were too busy laughing and dancing. It is my daughter's birthday. The chef and the server didn't anything special for her. They automatically charged us 20% services fee without telling us. I end up double tipped them. Disgusting, they sat us in between the bathroom and the kitchen with the dirty dishes busing carts right behind us. It smelled so bad, so strong of spray cleaner odor from the bottles hanging on the busing carts and the bathrooms. It all made me gag. They sat too many people at our table/grill, I was not even near the hibachi grill. I couldn't see anything if I had wanted, no entertainment or an experience sitting there, I could only see the back side of the chef. They should have never sat anyone where we were. The chef messed up our order, he gave my son's order(scallops) to others, passing them liberally to others. My son had to tell the chef, the chef left to get just a couple scallops from the kitchen for my son. From my family, the food tasted pretty mediocre to bad, it was burnt, under cooked, or cold when it should be hot, nothing seemed to be great. I was unable to eat much there, took mine to go. My husband had gastrointestinal problems due to the food by the time we got home. Definitely not a nice dinner out, ruined the evening, a terrible birthday celebration for my son. We have eaten at Imperial Hibachi previously without a problem. It's never been spectacular, good, not spectacular, but never so disgusting as this evening. We decided to go here for my daughter's 10th birthday. It was our first time going. I made sure to put in the "reason" for our visit that it was her birthday. Restaurant was clean, small eating area to make it more intimate for guests. The hostess didn't acknowledge it was her birthday upon arrival and check in, nor our server. We weren't even asked if it was our first time, if we were celebrating anything special. Our server was just doing his job, not really excited, just taking orders and checking in occasionally. He didn't give any recommendations from the menu. As we are ordering, it would have been nice to know what is included and wasn't with each hibachi meal, kid or adult. I'm used to other hibachi restaurants having rice included with the meat option that wasn't to case. We got the soup, salad, veggies, sauces but rice was separate. Of course meat entree is a separate charge. We were charge separately for fried rice, at about $3/each. The food was decent.. Once we were done, he still didn't acknowledge my daughter's birthday nor offer any dessert. We paid about $255 that's with an automatic $40 gratuity being added. I'm not sure if it was an off night but it will be a while before visiting again. read more

Went there for a nice lunch... until the storm came and the roof started leaking right into myself and my food. Not once did they apologize or offer to replace my food, much less to comp my meal. I was told to move to go sit next to strangers and was separated from my party. The bill was still $100 and no apology was said. My food was ruined but I didn't realize until I already took a bite. A solid 3.5 for this one. The food wasn't bad, our server was nice, but a bit disappointing experience considering (and this isn't their fault, but UGH TX TRAFFIC!!) we drove almost an hour to get here. The fiancé has never been to a hibachi restaurant and I've been telling him how fun/entertaining it could be. But this one was far from that. Maybe this is why the hibachi restaurants I've looked at in the DFW metroplex have low ratings :/ Yum yum sauce.. not yum. No tricks at the table except for spinning of the spatula in the beginning. No choo choo train, no heart shaped fried rice, no sake shooters or shrimp catchers.. or egg in the hat (I know a lot of these tricks from the many hibachi restaurants I've been to when I lived in NJ. And it was way too cold in the restaurant despite the temperature outside. We thought the heat from the hibachi grill would help but it didn't. And we just.. kinda felt squished with the other 2 ppl at the table and felt very awkward/uncomfortable dining that close to them (esp without the entertainment). It was even more odd because I heard entertainment from the table behind us. Idk, maybe we just got a chef that wasn't too excited to be there :( read more

We had gone in for an early dinner on June 9 and was extremely disappointed- we opted to sit at the regular tables rather than hibachi. Service was incredibly slow, and one of the staff members were just dressed in regular clothing. I had ordered a drink, but never received it despite other members of our party ordering some. For my meal I had ordered the steak fried rice- there was hardly any steak in it, and incredibly oily. Their menu is on the pricier side, so it was incredibly disappointing considering both the price and portion size. It is very difficult for me to write these reviews, but unfortunately I cannot recommend this spot. read more

This was our goto Hibachi and Sushi, but it's not the same as before. We got takeout this past Sunday and there was a piece of plastic in the squid salad. I found out while chewing. I emailed them and sent photos, but didn't hear back. I hate leaving reviews like this as this was our goto spot, but customer concerns should be a part of the business. Will be going elsewhere next time. The spicy yellowtail, which we've gotten many times, was incredibly too hot with oversized chunks of jalapenos with seeds. This is one of our favorite places to eat sushi. The service is always very good. The atmosphere is welcoming with very good design. The veggie sushi is excellent. Our favorite is the tempura veggie. You have to leave off the sauce to make it vegan but it's still really tasty. The issues around their place are a couple of weird things that hold them back to scoring a 4 or 5. First the bar or rather the bar service. They have an awesome selection of liquor and their drink menu is very good, however they don't always have a bartender to run the bar. Very disappointing. They're cleaning route. We arrived today at 11:45 am. They open at 11:30am. Granted we were they only people there but here came the guy with the mop bucket full of cleaning liquid and mopped the floor. It smelled like we were about to eat in a freshly cleaned bathroom, gross! I really wanted to rate them higher because we live the food but I just couldn't do it read more

Just left the restaurant. I had ordered two to -go orders along with my order for two people. The food took about 45 minutes to hit the table from the sushi side of the restaurant. The food came out as hibachi and we were charged for hibachi when we asked for normal fried rice. We purposely chose the sushi side because we did not want hibachi. 4 of my orders had shrimp and only 1 actually came with shrimp. 1 came with 2 pieces of shrimp which is disrespectful to charge and then bring that out. An was our server and he was new but it is not all completely his fault. He was trying his best but there was no manager on duty to assist. Bumping up to 5 stars for overall awesomeness! The way they have handled things during covid has been TOP notch. The restaurant is clean and always beautiful with staff following protocol. They have hibachi rocking and rolling as well. The HH is my go to after the busy work day (Mon-Thurs only) with super worth it deals on rolls and I absolutely adore the hibachi fried rice. My new fave is the butterfly kiss roll when I go rice-less!! This is a wonderful choice for takeout as well. One stop shop right here! Small portion of fried rice (meal comes with white rice but if you want it fried they charge you a extra $3.45 for that), sauce spilt all inside the bottom of the bag, oh and let's not forget the dried up (what I assume is a old mushroom) on the side of your soup container...yum.
