We've been to this location multiple times, the quality of the sushi, the food, everything we've ordered has always been on point. But I got a to go order tonight, and something has definitely changed. The grilled baby octopus was super tough and couldn't even be finished, the nigiri I ordered was OK but definitely not up to par with what we've had in the past, even the Wagyu was tough and stringy. Super disappointing for a sushi place we've come to count on in our local area as being top-notch. It definitely did not meet that expectation tonight.

Bleu Bear Sushi Omakase for lunch today was chef's kiss. Fresh, flavorful, and the service was amazing. And yes... it's way better than Nikko's or Hush. No comparison.

Came here for the omakase but it's only available on weekends... got the nigiri set instead and it was very underwhelming :( I'll definitely have to come back for the omakase again to give them another shot!

Always such a wonderful experience here. For being local and off the cuff, it has created a hub for sushi lovers and is top notch. Very fresh, very flavorful, and such a delightful experience overall. Love coming here and will again and again.

We ordered the omakase, the salmon napple, and hamachi with yuzu. The staff was attentive and the food came out quickly. The salmon was nice, but we were a bit disappointed in the quality of the rest of the fish. The omakase felt heavy handed with toppers to try to hide the fish. It wasn't "bad" it just wasn't great or memorable. At that price point, there are definitely better venues to explore.

This was fantastic! I felt like I was in Tokyo at a gourmet, exclusive, authentic sushi restaurant. The presentation was off the charts and the flavors were some we'd never experienced before. The prices were higher than our typical spots but the value and experience were commensurate.

My go to sushi spot! I've been a total of 3 times so far and every time, everything has been more than amazing. The nigiri is so fresh and I love it because they can do anything "seared". The fatty salmon MELTS in your mouth. And they don't use ANY imitation crab, so all of their dishes that has crab has real crab. The wagyu maki lover is amazing-- it is perfect for someone who is just getting into sushi. The crunch and the flavor mixes so well together.

This place was Amazing! We were seated promptly and a waiter greeted us immediately. They work as a team, so we were tended to by several servers during our dinner. Our server knew the menu well and guided us to order the Salmon and Apple to start with. He said if we love salmon sashimi, we will really like this. He was right!! I had a Cosmopolitan and my husband had hot sake. We also tried the Miso soup and house salad. The house salad had thier house dressing which is not a typical ginger dressing but I loved it all the same. We shared The Baked Snow Crab Maki and the Lobster Maki. Both were delicious! It's in a quiet location on a Saturday night. Inside it was easy to have conversations and very clean. The prices were quite reasonable too. Will definitely go back!!

My favorite was the special nigiri hamachi yuzu - very flavorful, perfectly balanced, good mouthful. I would come back just to get this special hamachi yuzu (but for $8/piece, it would be a special occasion). The other sushi lacked punchy flavor, and the lean tuna, medium fatty tuna, fatty salmon, and regular salmon all tasted nearly identical to me. The wagyu lover rolls were extra chewy because of the asparagus and not worth paying wagyu prices in my opinion, but still tasty. The texture was spot on perfect, though. On the higher end for sushi prices, but very consistently amazing textures, even though most of the fish was bland.

Best sushi in the Mid-Cities! I've been here enough times to try a little bit of everything, and I've never been disappointed. Every bite has me saying, "Yum, yum, yum!" The staff is amazing, too. They make you feel welcome and will often remember you after just one visit. It's a cute little restaurant with a chill, relaxing atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying a great meal. Highly recommended! The patio is cute but it's too hot right now

First time trying Bleu Bear Sushi and it was actually pretty good! The nigori was alright, but I really liked their rolls especially the Wagyu Lover Roll, definitely my fave and it's even part of their happy hour . It's a small spot but super cute for Bedford. I'd come back to try more rolls for sure

I started with the salmon skin maki - extra crunchy, flavorful, and light, but I'd recommend upgrading to the Salmon Lover Maki bc it has more balance, and is less about the crunch, more about the salmon itself and its filling. The volcano maki came loaded with toppings, sauce, and bold flavor - definitely more filling and satisfying than the salmon skin roll. If you enjoy something rich and layered, this one hits the spot, though my all-time favorites are still the Fire Ocean and the Salmon Lover rolls. I also tried yellowtail nigiri and red snapper sashimi. Both were very fresh - yellowtail nigiri had a buttery smooth texture, but the single pieces are more of a light add-on. If you're looking for a full, filling meal, go for the multi-piece rolls with more variety and toppings.

Good sushi. Major variety available on their menu. Non sushi food was good, too. Will we return? Yes when we're in the area.

But as a take-out sushi joint it is most definitely a 5* establishment both for value and efficiency. Tonight we mixed it up w a couple of rolls, a sushi sampler and the Unagi Don. The eel bowl is a fantastic deal and includes some pickled bamboo and seaweed salad, plus miso soup and an iceberg lettuce side salad. You also can't go wrong with the sushi or sashimi dinner bento box. Along w the sushi, these come with a generous serving of their rock shrimp, a couple of gyoza, a spicy tuna roll and the aforementioned soup and salad. When you order to-go you can do it online directly through their website and once it is sent it, Kasai gets right to work. We typically order before 5:30 and it's generally ready within 15 minutes. Super-fast and the packaging is good. Kasai is our go-to for to-go!

I sat down and the waitress came and asked me if I knew what I wanted, before I had put down my purse and opened the menu. I should have just left. I ordered the sushi lunch, it came with five pieces of chef selected nigiri and a California roll. The roll could have been tighter. The first piece I picked up, the filling fell out. Though I did appreciate that they use the pieces of krab instead of a krab salad mix. It was fine but nothing to write home about. The nigiri was a bummer. The texture was kind of chewy, like it had been frozen too long. Not that it was bad, it smelled and tasted fine, but I would rate this on par with grocery store quality. The salad was cold and crunchy but pretty flavorless and was half full of liquid on the bottom. The waitress asked me if I wanted anything else while I was still eating and brought the check. I was still out of there a half hour before closing time, but apparently not fast enough. The price point was surprisingly low, especially for this area, but I found no value in it.
