    AYCE MENU
    Noah C.

Simply amazing service and great food! We did the AYCE lunch option, and after 4 rounds, I was absolutely stuffed. We had two rounds of the unagi don, a tuna tower, some dumplings, miso soup, chicken teriyaki, a roll and some calamari and dessert, enough for two young men with big appetites. All for just $45, not including tip. If I were a bit closer I'd come more often but for lunch, it's a great option.

Stopped by for the "all you can eat" lunch option and was blown away by the overall quality of the food!! The freshly made sushi rolls were so delicious and rivaled any high end rolls found at any other restaurants. There was only a few things not available on the AYCE lunch menu that is available on the AYCE dinner menu but I WILL be returning during to experience the dinner option soon! My only slight "meh" was the calamari, overly breaded and too deep fried for my liking. Come hungry!

Here for the AYCE Sushi Lunch ($20.99/per person) 11am-4pm. Compared to some of the AYCE sushi places in Houston, this place is mediocre. The AYCE menu specifies items that are for dinner AYCE only. The rest are available for lunch. I like that all the condiments you need, including sushi ginger, are on the table. Apps: Wings- Not good! Rather over fried and tasted like "old" meat. Has no real flavor Crab Rangoons- Came with a sweet dipping sauce and tastes like crab rangoons Takoyaki- Surprisingly not bad and even topped with bonito flakes Squid Salad- Ika sansai, tastes pre-made/mixed, but not terrible Sushi: Fresh Salmon & Avocado Handroll- Something about this handroll... Not sure if it's the way they rolled it, or the rice not giving sushi flavor Nigiri- Mackerel, Eel, and Aburi Snapper. The Aburi snapper was very tasty, but oily Cowboy Roll (not pictured)- We wanted to try a roll with meat (description said steak) and it was mehh, very underwhelming and not recommended Lovely Roll- My favorite roll at this place! Tastes light and refreshing. Cute heart presentation Kitchen Food: Chicken Fried Rice (not pictured)- Bland. We had to add soy sauce and sriracha for some flavor No complaints on service. Plates were taken when done and drinks were refilled. Staff wears a Japanese kimono top. Very uniformed. Interior is vibrant. There's even a small robot that delivers your food. You get complimentary Yakult when they bring out the bill. Always a nice finishing touch. The big question: Will I come back? Most likely not as there's plenty of AYCE sushi options to be tried and this one didn't dazzle me.

Review by a frequent sashimi-eater. We came here because we liked the Takara at Irving. This was complete opposite... First impression: Chinese owners and staffs- that's okay! But the food has to be the worst AYCE and SLOWEST SERVICE/COOK we've ever had. It took 15 min to get the first item and there were no customers around- staff would watch TV. The only thing we could eat were Hamachi Kama and Beef Ribs. Do not get any sashimi... or raw sushi roll... Fish either had no taste or very fishy. The wasabi are all served in a metal can like chili oil. This place cares more about to-go business than dine-in. I've never been so disappointed, wasted $120 + 2 HOURS of our lives waiting for questionable food, and there were flies. :( There is also no proper high chair with seat belt to prevent sliding down. I also just realized, we never got few items ordered initially.

If you are like me who craves sushi multiple times a week, a lunch AYCE is the best way to have at it. You can eat as much as you want for a set price and lunch hour is the best way to get the best bang for your buck. We decided to check this new-ish location of Takara in the NRH area. The space is a lot smaller than your usual AYCE places but space doesn't matter. You order from the menu 3 items at a time as much or as little as you want. I enjoyed everything I ordered but only lasted 2 rounds (6 items total) It was a steal for $20.99 AYCE lunch special.

AYCE sushi? Say less! Takara isn't just sushi--they've got ramen, udon, poke bowls, and more. Plus, your whole crew doesn't have to do AYCE just because you are. Just don't share because you know the rules! I've been twice, and the service is always on point. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The fish? Incredibly fresh, and the hot plates are decent too. For the price, it's a solid spot to crush your sushi cravings. My only complaint? Please, Takara, get a real hot sake machine--lukewarm sake isn't the move! Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5

Since checking out AYCE restaurants is now part of our hobby. ;) We decided to stop in at this place for their lunch service. It's now has come to my attention that ordering from a menu is the new norm for AYCE sushi. A limit of 3 items per order as many time as you can handle. I started of right away with 3 rolls. Hair Mex, Lovely, and Dragon rolls. All of which are decent but nothing to right home about. The 3 rolls definitely beats the lunch price of $20.99 already. For the next round, I ordered calamari which was a little over cooked for me, shrimp tempura which was good and a bowl of chicken ramen that's just enough to send you over the edge. Ended the meal with ice cream mochi and macaroon. Service was great but we always show up at odd hours which is ideal for us.

I love that they offer an all you can eat (AYCE) option but the entire table doesn't have to participate. For $30.99/person at dinner, if you can eat at least 2 specialty rolls, you can eat your money's worth. It's honestly a steal, and the menu is so expansive it's amazing - apps, soups, sides, poke bowls, nigiri/sashimi/maki/sushi/specialty rolls, stir fry, ramen, and even dessert! Each individual person participating can order up to 3 items at a time. Everything we tried was fresh, made to order, and flavorful. It came out on a rolling basis but we never waited more than 5-10 mins. The portions for AYCE are obviously smaller than if you ordered from the regular menu, but generous nonetheless. I made my way through the entire menu, front to back, and left super full and happy! Overall, this is a great spot with a wide variety of Japanese and other Asian food. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, in a shopping strip. - Reservations? Not necessary, you can just pop in. They do get busy on weekends, and it is a smaller restaurant so there may be a wait. FOOD RATINGS: - Crab Rangoons (5/5) - Edamame (3/5) - Soft shell crab (3/5) - Tuna nigiri (3/5) - Scallop nigiri (3/5) - Poke bowl (4/5) - Rainbow roll (4/5) - Udon stir fry (3/5) - Shrimp fried rice (5/5)

I cheated on my fave AYCE sushi spot to come try this place out. Our party of 6 came in for a late lunch on a Saturday. The decor had a nice traditional Japanese touch with lots of wooden accents along with a few TV screens throughout. They have cute looking booths with neat seat cushions. For appetizers, I enjoyed the Japanese short ribs and the chicken karaage was excellent. I thought the chicken wings were just ok being on the smaller side and not very flavorful. The hand rolls were good and provided me my sushi fix. I wasn't a big fan of the tonkatsu ramen but appreciated the small portion. The avo tuna was underwhelming. For dessert, they have mini cheesecake, macaron, mochi ice cream. Nothing special but nice to have as a sweet ending to your meal. During our meal, our server brought out a complimentary shrimp dish sent out by the chef and it was delicious! It was a salt and pepper shrimp dish and one of the best I've had in a while. The ordering process was a little rough with a bit of a language barrier being the main problem. We had to repeat ourselves and clarify often when putting in orders to our server. He was apologetic and kind so we didn't mind because despite all that, our food came out correctly and quickly. The robot was a fun part of the meal. Would I come back again? Yes, but only if I don't want to drive to Bedford.

Came here for the first time with friends on a Sunday. We were a party of 14 Polynesian people so we ate a lot. We ordered the all-you-can-eat All-Day buffet which meant, it was the $32 buffet to include dinner no matter the time of day. They have a lot choices to choose from such as various sushis, ramen bowls, appetizers, side dishes, and desserts. My friends and I were smashing tons of sushi, a ridiculous amount of the Japanese short ribs, fried soft shell crab, and ice cream mochi which were all expensive items lol. I know we definitely made our made money. This place probably lost money because of us. They have these rules that only allow you to order certain things 1-3 items at a time which I think is a ridiculous rule. I get that people shouldn't waste food so if they do then I think the restaurant should charge them extra, but I think they should allow us to order 5 items at a time or something. Perhaps it's a strategy to make you wait so the food settles in your tummy and you get full faster lol. On top of that, their portions for certain things, were super small like the peppered steak, they literally gave us 2-3 thin slices of steak which was cold too. I don't know, but it didn't work. Majority of the food we ate were very flavorful, some were ok and cold. The salmon sashimi, fried shrimp tempura, fried calamari, eel or unagi nigiri, were amongst the many things we ordered. They also have a menu if you don't want to eat the buffet. Overall, food is slightly above average. Staff are friendly, but you can tell, at least thats the way we felt lol, that they wanted us to stop eating and leave already because we were destroying all the food we ordered and kept on ordering lol. Lots of parking and clean restrooms.

Takara is the newest AYCE sushi spot in NRH. Prices for AYCE is competitive, and I feel like a bit lower than the other one nearby by a few dollars. They have a few things the other doesn't, but missing some favorites that the other place has. As well, you can only order 3 things at a time vs 5 at other places. Though, our food came out super fast so it made up for that part. Outside of one item, a soup, we ordered early on, that we realized later that we never got. Service was outstanding as well. Takara also offers the ability to just order a meal and not do AYCE as well, if you don't feel like you would be able to eat enough to make the AYCE worth it. We'll keep it in our regular lunch stops for sushi, but may not do it for the dinner prices.

Takara is an all you can eat sushi and other items restaurant. Though you can also order individual meal options without doing all you can eat. Prices were reasonable, but you can only get three things vs five that you can do at our usually all you can eat sushi place. The service was fast, and restaurant well kept. Food was decent for all you can eat standard. Better than when they just set a tray out that you can go too, but not as good as the nicer order per roll set.

Great location and the restaurant is really pretty. Went during Grand opening on a Saturday evening so the service was a little jagged is the best way to put it. It was a little chaotic and some of the iPads didn't work that well but it was overall okay. No problems. The food was really good. We were limited to three items at a time so you're not wasting food, which is actually a really good thing, but at the same time it made me realize What a bit of a pig I am at these things lol I'm not a huge sushi eater, mostly just sashimi. We are our usual faves and I tried a couple of rolls. The farmer orchard one was surprisingly my favorite over all. They were all very good. The cooked items like the udon and the ramen and the main entree items were all really good as well and not too big of a portion so you can get a little bit of everything to try it all and leave pretty full. The wait stuff was very nice, but like I said it was a little chaotic. I think it was pretty busy for a Saturday night and they had just opened. I'm assuming so but otherwise it was a great experience overall I will definitely come back in the future

The interior of the restaurant is very anime-esque. You order at the counter once you're ready. I got the Tori-Mayu. My friend (thanks Andy!) got us apps - takoyaki and karage. Both were excellent! I made the classic mistake, as usual, of eating the takoyaki while it was still pretty hot. Despite the burns to the inside of my mouth, it was definitely worth it. The karage was was absolutely delicious as well. Perfect amount of crunch with moist chicken on the inside. Pairs very well with the spicy mayo that is served on the side. For my main, I got the Tori-mayi - the chicken ramen broth with garlic oil. The broth was rich and flavorful. The chashu was meaty and savory. All of the extra toppings were of great quality. Though, what was undoubtedly the star of the show were the noodles. The texture was nice and springy - they served as the perfect medium for the broth and everything else. Service was great as well. They have a nice cute robot to help deliver everything which I thought fit within the theme. Would certainly come again!

At this spot, both broths were good. We each got a version of black garlic chili oil ramen. The veggie toppings were the same, but mine also came with thin slices of very well marinated tofu. I enjoyed my bowl. The hubby liked the pork broth in his bowl, but the pork belly on top was tough. We also got appetizers. The Japanese pancake was crispy, but greasy. The fries were good and not at all greasy and dusted with a touch of spicy Asian inspired seasoning. They were OK. The ramen portions are large, so that was nice. Service is very good here. The human kind and the cute little "robot" that delivered our food. It's a small space, but has tables and booths. The tables in the booths are oddly not wide enough to reach your food, so we sat at a table. There is plenty of parking. If you want to try some flavorful plant based ramen, this is the spot. I gave 4 stars due to the yummy plant ramen and excellent service.

I mentioned to our server Cameron, who was so polite and professional by the way, that it might be fun to host a monthly Sushi 101, where people could make reservations and for a flat rate the attendees could learn the difference between sashimi, sushi and all the other preparations for the cuisine. People could taste and sample each type and learn a little bit, giving them confidence to put Hush in their local food rotation. I really enjoyed my experience, and will do some research on the different options so I can try some new foods, I have no doubt I can ask my server, but that would have made me uncomfortable making the rest of my party wait while I learn, this was a spur of the moment invite so I didn't have time to do research, totally my problem. It was a terrible pourer though, but the waiter warned me and put some napkins on the table to clean up. The ramen was quite disappointing, I know how spoiled I currently am with the memory of Ichibahn burned into my brain, but...these were quite pricey and not that good. The broth was lightly flavored with little depth, the beansprouts and corn (why are these in my ramen?) Moved the flavour profile even brighter and there was quite a lot of green onion. With a $5 add on for 2 small slices of extra pork that's a $20 bowl. So yes, 3 stars. They have bottled Kirin so I might be back, but I will be exploring the other menu items.

It's located in Hurst in a little strip mall that's mostly empty but you can see the concentration of business and cars in the corner on the side where this restaurant is, when we first walked in we both noticed a bit of a strange smell like I would describe as mildew and I think that's because they were running two portable air conditioner units inside so I don't think this is something that's on the regular and after we sat down neither of us noticed it again. As we walked in I also noticed That this place has a nice little cozy feel to it with some interesting decor, beautiful paintings on the wall and kind of an old school feel which I enjoy, there's an upstairs section that's pretty cool looking also where you can have private events or family style gatherings. Right off the bat the service was very friendly and attentive, we ordered two appetizers the shrimp Yakitori and an order of the pork and vegetable egg rolls both appetizers were fresh and delicious, I also had upon the servers recommendation their honey lemon ice tea which was very good. For our entrees My girlfriend ordered the spicy beef bulgogi and I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi, our food came out in a timely manner and was fresh and hot. The portion size was very good and I was happy to see the ratio of meat to vegetable was about 90% meat to 10% vegetable which is what I expect in a bulgogi. Overall I really liked this place and if I'm in Hurst I wouldn't hesitate to drop back in for some more delicious Korean food at Yori! P.s. No table grills just FYI
