Taking Jan's advice, I got one of her lemon cupcakes and also a white chocolate bar too, and I am not overstating it when I say that was the best lemon cupcake I have ever had. It was super delicious, and it had a lemon paste in the middle of the frosting. Super delicious! The white chocolate bar was also very tasty as well, it just melts into your mouth. Service was top-notch. It's a small store, and with a very kind lady like her it works out perfectly. I couldn't decide what I wanted and she was very patient with me, she is really such a sweet lady. It's nice to go here and have a chat and get A-plus cupcakes instead of just going to a grocery store and getting those B-minus cupcakes. Inside was just a tiny corner shop off of the road. Don't be fooled, it's not just the delicious treats in there, there's some of these things that are actually kinda funny. As you enter, you can see these makeup bags or something alike with pictures of dogs or other things. I even got a German Shepherd bag last trip! There's also these notebooks with funny jokes on them. I thought it was pretty nice. I think I don't have to say much, but Cupcakes by Jan is exactly what a cupcake place needs to be. Incredibly good treats, sweet people and a nice, cushiony place. I will absolutely, without a doubt order from Jan's again. Thank you so much!

Finally made my way to this bakery as I have been wanting to check it out…read more It is a very cute cafe, very friendly and attentive staff. We just had a huge lunch, so we ordered 1. a matcha latte, iced, and it was delicious! 2. blueberry cheesecake crepe: excellent fillings and blueberries, very light, not heavy and not too sweet. I asked to not have the powder sugar dusted on and it was perfectly sweet for me. 3. Panna Cotta with tiny little jello lemon cubes on top. It was tangy and sweet, more on the tangy side and it was good. The Panna Cotta was very smooth. The place is small, has a few tables but it has a huge outdoor seating area which is perfect for when the weather is not extremely hot and you can have our pups with you. Definitely would return.

However, I do want to clarify one very important point regarding my service dog. He was calm, quiet, and completely under control throughout the entire visit. He was not active, disruptive, or vocal at any time. He is a trained service dog, not a pet. I also want to clarify that under the ADA, a person with a service dog cannot be required to sit outside simply because they are accompanied by a service animal. Service dogs are generally permitted to accompany their handlers in areas where customers are normally allowed. A service animal may only be excluded in limited circumstances, such as when the animal is out of control and the handler does not take effective action, or when the animal is not housebroken. Neither of those circumstances applied here. So while I understand your policy regarding active or vocal dogs, that does not describe my dog or what happened during my visit. He was calm and caused no disturbance whatsoever. I sincerely hope your staff can be better informed about the distinction between pets and service animals so that another customer with a legitimate service dog is not made to feel unwelcome or told they MUST sit outside.

The friendliness in giving directions, (because attitude is everything) plus the empathy she showed us when we came off the "shortcut" Google Maps sent us on (Route 149, Antares Road; 30 plus miles of dirt road in the middle of nowhere). Pretty sure we weren't the first ones to take that route, never again. This gas station is truly an oasis in the desert!
