This restaurant goes by the name Great Wall now. Not sure when this change happened and if management is totally different, but the food is MUCH better. Before I would have given Nine Dragons two stars and now it is a solid four--way less grease, much better flavors and larger menu selection. The roast pork mei fun and fried rice were good, and chicken wings were finger licking good! Definitely glad they changed and/or upped their game. It's a step above standard Westchester Asian food. They have Thai dishes as well and I tried a few they were enjoyable. The fried rice here is better then most in the area as are the egg rolls way better then any in the area. The area being Ossining,Yorktown,Cortlandt,Putnam Valley and all points in between.The lady in front is super friendly as are the cooks. No it's not flushing but hey so many people want Thai food and it's right here under your palette!! read more

We ordered takeout recently and had some big difficulty finding the menu online. Once we arrived we waited a few minutes for our order to be ready. There were four total dishes in our order; 1) Sesame Chicken, 2) Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, 3) Chicken & Broccoli, and 4) Thai Yellow Curry. The dishes were great! We have been ordering take out from this place for years. We are strict vegans and regular customers who tip well. Unfortunately we have been lied to every single time we have ordered. The establishment is undertaking new management. The person whom I used to speak to called herself Sylvia assured me many times that the pad Thai was vegan, that the eggplant with garlic sauce was as well, and that the fried tofu with mixed vegetables was vegan as well. Lies, lies, and more lies! Almost every single item has chicken stock or worse in it! We are grossed out to the max. How would you like to eat squirrel dung? That is how it feels to us. How do I know? Kevin, the young and adorable son of the new owner told me the truth 10 minutes ago. Basically this place does not respect our religion or care one crap about their customers. I am speaking about the former management. One clue in the their menu is under the heading "Buddha's Delight" they have a dish served with MEAT. If you don't know Buddha did not eat meat than you know your ass from your elbow. We also learned that many of the sauces are made weeks ahead of time( under former management.) What? We have eaten in the finest Chinese restaurants in San Francisco where one can see the dishes prepared in front of the diner. At 5:30 Kevin called me back and told me the restaurant had no vegetables. I told If him if I were he or his father I would send someone quick to Shoprite, stock up on veggies for the night,keep the receipt, and then take it off the whatever monies are still owed still the former and crooked owners. There are many Chinese restaurants to choose from, and Kevin was so sweet I was afraid that the new owners were going to lose customers. How the hell does a restaurant run out veggies by 5:30 PM? Because the former owners sabotaged them by not putting in an order from the veg purveyor. All very suspect. We are both chefs, at least recovering chefs, have worked in the business for a combination of 70 years, and the only word we can use that comes to mind is enraged. I truly hope that Kevin and his father can make a go it and really deliver honest fresh food to customers. Vegans are multiplying by 4 times each year, not to mention vegetarians. We deserve the same respect as anyone else does. I hope in the near future to be able raise this rating! read more

Under new management, the chef who cooked Thai food has moved on. The thai section of the menu is now prepared through the eyes of a Chinese chef: Basil beef is a simple Chinese stir fry and Penang Curry was a watery mess. pineapple rice ordered extra spicy was prepared with the curry powder used for Singapore mei fun, resulting in an unusual and interesting chinese/thai fusion, worth a try! The vegetables in all the dishes were fresh and prepared with a deft hand so it might be worth trying the chinese section of the menu. ps I tried the white rice on its own, tasteless and dry. read more

I have ordered from this place twice already. I really love that they have both Chinese and Thai, so if you are not in the mood for thai and your spouse is we dont have to go to 2 different places. They really make so far what we have ordered delicious. They do delivered into Ossining and if you want to pick up there is very limited parking there. Im glad we found them. read more

A fabulous take out Thai / Chinese restaurant! Every time we have ordered, it's always wonderful. The spare ribs were lean, the fried rice amazing, the moo shoo pork and the chicken with cashews.... excellently prepared. GET YOUR RECEIPT FROM THE DELIVERY GUY RAYMOND! We've ordered delivery a few times, and it's nice having a Thai/Chinese combination place in the area. However, you need to get the receipt from Raymond, their delivery guy, because he will inflate the cost of the food and run off with the receipt. He overcharged us by more than $10 when we finally caught onto him the other night. Plus, he hit me up for his landscaping/housecleaning/masonry services. How about you stick to delivering the food quickly and without trying to gouge me?? So yeah, the delivery gouging really takes away from everything else, to the owner's detriment. If they want to get repeat business, they might want to reconsider the people they have deliver for them. read more

I ordered delivery from Nine Dragons for the first time and was looking for Thai (can't speak for their Chinese food). After eating great Thai food in NYC for years, I was a bit skeptical but honestly the pad Thai was really good! Flavorful and comparable to many places in the city. Also ordered pad see ew which was on special and that was okay too- not as flavorful as the pad Thai though. Thai iced tea was also authentic. Overall good Thai food! read more

We don't have a lot of Thai food around the ossining and croton area so this is a great place to order from to have a night in with the family. They have a mix of Thai and both Chinese and both selections are pretty decent. We've tried a couple of local places before and have gotten sick from them or have given up ordering from them because they keep bumping up their prices. If you just want a quick pick up this is a pretty good spot. read more

Another of our favorite places for takeout. Delivery last night came super fast - about 25 minutes earlier than Beyond Menu estimated. My son loves their chicken noodle soup and I love the pineapple fried rice (though the first time we had it, we were surprised to find it was spicy - it's delicious, regardless). I usually order from them online via Beyond Menu, but their communication is great! They've called right away with any questions about it order. Definitely recommend. read more
