Found this restaurant on Yelp while vacationing in Cancun. It was a short distance from our Airbnb. We had some trouble finding street parking close to the restaurant so we parked in a lot next door. We were greeted immediately. Our server did have a little trouble translating but nonetheless we were all able to order exactly what we wanted. I ordered the Molletes with Grilled Chicken on top and a Mocha Frappuccino. It was absolutely delicious. It came out freshly made and piping hot. I also sampled a little bit of everyone else's food. Everything was very delicious. So happy I was able to find this gem. It's bookmarked for my future visits to Cancun.
The best breakfast we had in Mexico and I wish we came here again. No where else had coffee or molletes this good. Highly recommend! There was no wait and originally the waitress said they were out of molletes. She then proceeded to buy fresh bread and make them for me. Some of the best service I've ever had. I wish I could eat here everyday. The outdoor seating was perfect and shaded. Not too far from our hotel either.
The ambiance of Ninfas cafe is very calm and was a super nice place to eat breakfast at. No wait time and all of the service was prompt and quick. A really nice place hidden amongst the hotel zone. There were no tables to eat inside other than a bar area type of seating so we ate outside in the shade. I ordered a green juice and chilaquiles with over easy eggs. I loved the salsa verde more than the salsa roja but both were sooo good. When my boyfriend ordered molletes at first the cook said they didn't have any but she ended up accommodating us and made molletes which was very kind of her and I appreciated a ton.
I was on my way to a cafe to pick up a pastry for breakfast, but I passed by here and stopped because something smelled good inside. The very nice owner (? perhaps, or maybe it was the manager?) was sitting outside with a regular customer and they both pointed out things on the menu based on what I was in the mood for. I ended up getting a berry smoothie, pancakes with fruit and huevos rancheros (which came with coffee or oj.) All of it was great! Enough to split between me and my husband for a full brunch. Everything was made fresh. The smoothie was perfect and the pancakes were low key some of the best pancakes I've ever had. Quite fluffy and soft with a bit of crisp on the exterior. They came with butter, syrup and jam packets. The huevos rancheros I got because they were out of chorizo and I was not disappointed. Tasty and a very large portion. I wish I had more time to return before I left Cancun, but I would definitely go back if I were in town again!
This is a hidden jewel in the heart of Cancun. If you like fresh and healthy made to order and very reasonable price, then this is your spot. Ninfa's Cafe. This is our third day in the Cancun area and it is a down time day so we decided to use Yelp to find a breakfast place between walking distance from where I am staying ( Avenida Bonampak). Found Ninfa's Cafe and it is less than half of a mile walking. Price$ is cheap, service excelent, food SUPERB. And this is just for breakfast. We paid in MX pesos. We are coming back, definitely. For breakfast I had the cafe lechero(coffee with lactose free milk), and freshly squeezed orange juice and an omelette with manchego cheese. The waiter asked us for the choice of tortillas or bread, of couse I chose bread because bread is my weakness and it arrived toasted, yummmm. Edit: Of the 9 days I stayed in the area, I had 7 breakfast here including the last day in the MX. I bet everything is good but I can recommend the omelette with manchego cheese and tocino (bacon), the fresh fruits that comes with yogurt and granola (ask to add everything), huevos con chorizo and it came with sweet plantains, delicioso and the chilaquiles con arrachera (skirt steak). My husband had the omelette with manchego cheese (yummy yummy), the hotcakes (pancakes) with fried eggs, and the fresh fruits with yogurt, always with coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.
The quality and service of this cafe are great! My partner and I found this cafe in our last trip to Cancun and had to come back twice! The breakfast and green juice were delicious not to mention the hot habanero salsa! Wow! Súper delicioso! Gracias Ninfa! Un placer conocerte! Nos veremos pronto.
5 stars for the good, budget friendly food, and warm service. This is a tiny spot that is easy to miss. We had been walking by it daily, and had not realized. It is located behind the strip mall that is directly across the street from the Riu Palace and Fiesta Villa resorts. We had an order of extra spicy (ask for it if you love HOT chiles) steak Chilaquiles, an order of pancakes, eggs, & bacon, and espresso. The food was fantastic and very reasonable. Locals eat here - that's usually a sign that a place has good food and good prices. Our waiter was very friendly and answered all menu questions. The restaurant has a small bar area inside, about two inside tables, and two small outside tables. It was a lovely morning, so we enjoyed breakfast at an outside table. Had we found this spot before the last day of trip, we probably would have eaten here almost daily.
During our Cancun vacation, Joe K and I found some time to explore a strip mall that had many closed and vacant businesses. That always makes me sad when this happens. I often wonder what were the circumstances to cause the closures. It looked like a nice mall with a whole lot of potential. But during this outing, we wandered about to discover this little eatery nestled between some buildings. It was late morning and we were in search of a breakfast place, so we ventured closer to see what they were all about. The staff was genuinely friendly and the menu looked very appetizing. The place is just a little kitchen with a few tables under a covered patio. Not much atmosphere, just nice people and good food! After we placed our orders, a sudden rain storm hit us while we sat in the middle of it all. I could feel the water trying to flood our feet, but 2 of the men immediately began sweeping the water out as quickly as they could to keep us somewhat dry. Then our food arrived and my thoughts of running for shelter dissipated. Everything looked delicious! I ordered a veggie omelette with toast, a cappuccino and a papaya juice. Joe got a Huevos La Gusto, coffee and tortillas. We had 2 types of salsa - red & green to spice up our food as needed. We really enjoyed our meals. The ladies who prepared the food and drinks were very sweet. Even though there was a language barrier, our orders were made to order and to perfection! Through wind and rain, nothing could take us away from our amazing breakfasts!
Definitely one of the best restaurants that I've eaten at in Cancún! The prices are reasonable. Everything is made fresh (from the salsa to the freshly squeezed orange juice). You can tell by how delicious the food is. They offer a menu in Spanish and English. The staff is nice and friendly. I would 100% come back. The fried plantains were so so good!
This is my second time visiting this hidden gem. Everytime I've been her the people are SO attentive and so friendly, welcoming and kind. They even made a special plate just for me because I couldn't decide between entrees, so we did a combo. Every time I visit Cancun, I will make it a point to come back!!!

I was looking for breakfast on a rainy morning in Cancun. Well, I found one however - I wasn't impressed with the chilaquiles. I was really surprised that the chicken itself was well - bland. The salsa was great but didn't make up for the fact that chicken had zero flavor. It felt like an afterthought. The rest of the food, my juice and coffee were all so good. I would go back but not get the same dish again. read more

It was a good breakfast, food is decent, taste fresh made,service was a little slow but there was only one guy running the front of the house so we cut him a break on that, prices were right, We'll definitely come back. read more

Incredible! I can't believe this place doesn't have more reviews, it's 10/10!! You must get the Cafe de Olla! And their green juice is divine! Food also 10/10 read more

Nice little spot not too far from my hotel room on Avenida Tulum in downtown. Good food, good prices and really nice people. They made my breakfast tacos upon request just like I wanted. Simple and yummy. Definitely recommend. read more

10/10! This place is beautiful, food is great, and service is amazing. Day 3 of my 4 day trip I found this place... thanks to Yelp. Went back two days in a row. Next visit I'll try the dinner. On this visit it was the breakfast for me!!!! First day was Hot Cakes and Waffles with eggs and bacon. Day two was a scramble with chorizo, potatoes, peppers, tomatoes and cheese. My fiancé had Hot Cakes with hers, as she ate mine yesterday. Oh and the fresh juice was amazing read more

Doesn't look like much when you walk past but we decided to stop in based on the yelp reviews and let me tell you we've been to the hotel zone and tried most of their fancy places . thisis the best restaurant that we've encountered since being in Cancun this is our second time coming. read more

We were wandering through an old, mostly boarded up outside mall looking for a place to have breakfast. The Mayan architecture was beautiful but unfortunately the whole place looked like it had seen better days. Like so many other things in Cancun, it was the victim of being poorly built and maintained. The weather was blustery and dark clouds threatened overhead. We knew we were going to need to seek shelter soon. Then we turned a corner and to our relief, we found this very romantic, cozy little restaurant hidden in a small breezeway that could provide us much needed shelter from the weather. I suddenly felt like we had stepped into a very romantic movie scene. We were barely seated before the blustery weather turned into a fool on tropical storm. Gusty winds blew the torrential downpour in one end of the breezeway, lightening sporadically lit up our tiny shelter and thunder roared like cannons. Fortunately, we were seated just far enough from the raging storm as to not be too affected by it and the employees worked ceaselessly to sweep the water away before it invaded the area beneath our feet. The ambience was perfect. The day may have been harsh and threatening but the sweet, welcoming people that worked at Ninfa's were not. They were warm and welcoming and were very patient even with us dumb gringos that could not speak any Spanish. A tip to people traveling to other countries: Try to learn something more than la cuenta por favor (the bill please). Fortunately, another customer came by to get a cup of their amazing coffee and was kind enough interpreted for us. Believe me, I am a big coffee drinker and this was the only place I found a decent cup of coffee while in Mexico and that includes Starbucks. Anyway, at this point, our waitress and a couple of other people working there were trying to ask me what kind of meat I wanted on my omelet but I thought they were telling me about all of the meats they were going to put on my eggs and so I kept repeating gracias. I even repeated muchos gracias like an ignorant gringo but, unfortunately the word "muchos" did not improve the situation. I had downloaded a language interpreter to my phone but my phone stopped working the moment I arrived in Mexico. It was very fortunate that this young man just happened to appear like a super hero through the raging storm. I ordered a ham omelet and coffee and Ida ordered a vegetable omelet and a cappuccino. Everything was really good. Our breakfast was served with both toast, which seemed like it was made from homemade bread, and tortillas. I will treasure memories of our food, the atmosphere, and the hospitality of the workers forever. read more

Great spot for breakfast! The pancakes were seriously some of the best I've ever had. My wife ate the chilaquiles and said they were delicious. The wait staff were very friendly. The restaurant is a little hard to find but it's well worth it. We stopped here before going to our AI in the hotel zone and this was the best breakfast during our whole trip. read more

Great food and hospitable environment. I had Huevos Rancheros and I think my server was Javier. Very delicious salsa and the whole meal was delicious. I also had a cappuccino which was delicious as well. read more

Little hidden gem! This place has the most amazing coffee I've ever had, forget Starbucks or any of those American chains, they make your coffee to order and the flavor is amazing, the owner told me they use only Mexican coffee from Chiapas, I can tell you it made a difference in the taste, I got chilaquiles with eggs every morning and was pleased with the service and friendliness, this is not a place for hardcore Americans that can't handle home cooking Mexican style, so if you're Mexican this is the place for you, if you're from somewhere else and are open to experience the kind of cooking most Mexican mothers do then this place is for you. Add to that the authentic Mexican service that embraces you with their attitudes and well manners. read more

This cafe is awesome. You might drive right by if go too fast. Don't miss this awesome place. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The coffee was excellent. The food was made fresh to order. It's not a fast food restaurant. It isn't slow, they just make everything from scratch. Their chorizo is made in house and is nicely seasoned. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Really good food and decent weather since we went in the morning. Our food was made with love so that was awesome. Thank the lady that cooked for us with love. I got a torta that was off menu and it was delicious! My partner got the chiliquilles verde those were flavorful and not spicy thankfully. This place would be 5 stars but it's gross when the server Alex took my order while poking his nose I almost left right then. Thankfully we got our food got to us before he started scratching his butt with his hands in his pants. I screamed inside. The lady that was cooking had to start taking orders because he wasn't really listening. I noticed a bit of a problem when I kept saying I wanted the torta with huevo but to add beans but he kept repeating egg torta egg torta and didn't mention the beans then while the lady was cooking she asked me what i wanted in it thankfully read more
This restaurant really didn't look like much but experience tells me that those are typically the best places to eat and this place was not an exception! The food here was really good. The only problem I had was the wait for the food. They pretty muCh brought one plate out at a time with at least 5 mins in between each time. However I feel as though the food was worth the wait! My fiancé got the cubano sandwich, I got the maletta, and we split some pancakes. The cubano and the pancakes were delicious! The malletta I could take or leave. It actually is not something that is on the menu anymore but I happened to see a picture of it on yelp so I asked and the waitress said they could make it. It wasn't bad but it was soRt of underwhelming. I see why it was not longer on the menu. Overall I recommended grabbing breakfast from here if you are in town! read more
