Really bad service. The guy who did my pedicure didn't file or buff my nails at all and then put the nailpolish on my bare nails- no clear coat first. It was inexpensive, but my nails looked worse after I walked out of there. Not going back :-/ ! read more

Went today and was pleasantly surprised. I had a pedicure, and it included the best foot rub I have had in a very long time. My legs and feet feel rejuvenated. I also had a gel french tip manicure. I am always hesitant with french tips because I get concerned that the white goes too low and looks hinky. Not the case here. They look wonderful. don't spend your money here. My husband could've gotten the nailpolish better on my toes than this place. At the end when I asked the woman to please clean up the polish all over the skin on my toes (red, I might add) - she got all huffy and said "it come off in the shower" and walked away. HORRENDOUS service. When I got home I noticed that the nailpolish from my prior pedicure hadn't even been totally removed. You get what you pay for people. Went in because I was on that side of town, being back in the area I haven't found my spot yet, other than they don't do Umbres, i was happy with the nail tech, she didn't talk much to me, but I'm ok with that, my story is complicated so I don't like to talk much. But she did a really good job on my nails, I asked for the coffin shape, but because my nails need to be shorter for work, she made them look close enough! I should've just left when the woman doing my nails removed my previous dip nails by just picking them off with a nail extension and made me bleed on my pinky and ring finger. It doesn't end there tho, they lied about a promotion that was on their website even though I called and said I was doing the mani and pedi special but when I checked out they charged me double the price (I also payed an extra $10 on top of that for them to remove my dips nails which I was fine paying until I saw they way she took them off) and said they couldn't do the special but never explain why. My nails only lasted 2 weeks and are super damaged because they weren't removed properly. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I always enjoy going here. They are always able to get my in quickly. They do fast but excellent work on my nails. My feet always feel so soft after a pedicure and when I get gel nails, it doesn't damage my nails. On top of all that, the price is hard to beat. read more

Attentive, friendly and not expensive, a great combination!

I love this place. Everyone who works there remembers my name. Not just me, seems like they know all the customers by name- even when I call, they know it's me. Everyone is polite and friendly, and they do fast but fabulous work. The salon is clean and new too. I pay $30 for a french shellac that lasts for a month no matter which person is helping me. They heat the lotion used for manis and pedis which is wonderful, especially in the winter! I would absolutely recommend this nail salon to anyone who is looking for a place to be a regular- plus they have the best prices in town. Side note: be prepared to pay the credit card processing fee of about 3% if you use plastic. This isn't a big deal for me because I love this place and want them to stay in business! I never used to regularly get my nails done, but with the invention of shellac and this salon, I think I'm hooked. read more

I though years later this pace would be better. They even won awards apparently. Still not a good place at all. My pedi/Mani was very rushed. Shouldn't take just 25 min to do both back to back. Upon closer inspection, my nails looked just as uneven and tagged as when I came in. I shouldn't have to fix a basic mani and straighten the edges. This might be my new regular nail place. I had not been loyal to any other shops (you know, just going in when I needed a fill to wherever was convenient at the time) but with this place, this is the first time I have showed a picture on Pinterest of how I want my nails to be shaped and how I want them to look at the end of the process and had my nails come out looking like that picture. The establishment seems to be of average/good cleanliness and the staff was really friendly. I kept a star off just because twice I've come and had a wait 30 mins or longer. AVOID THIS PLACE! I made at an appointment at 3 pm last saturday, by the time I got there they werent even expecting me. My appointment was for a Pink and White and I was told to wait about 30 minutes before they can start working on me. Nini Nails is my favorite nail salon in the Madison area! And, they just moved into a beautiful renovated space near Odana & Whitney. Her salon is much better and nicer than the salons in either the big mall or near Midvale. I've tried a lot of nail salons in Madison, Middleton, and Fitchburg, but did not find a great one until a year ago I stumbled into Nini's after finding some great reads at Half-Price Books nearby. They have great leather massage chairs for your pedi, with enough chairs for a set of at least 8 bridesmaids or your best friends to sit side-by-side, and they've got all the latest options for your mani, including a great selection of gel colors. They have fun shows and a great magazine collection by the drying station. And, this small business run by Nini herself is always kind to customers. Nini is a great practitioner of the nail arts, and also does great eyebrow waxing. Nini is wonderful. And Nini nails is a wonderful way to treat yourself every few weeks. This is my first ever Yelp recommendation for any business, and I most definitely recommend Nini's for your nails! read more

This place is fine - they do good work and get lots of repeat business. I have four acrylics done regularly on my right hand along with gels on both hands. Nini has it down. I decided to treat my mom to a pedicure, and was disappointed with the way she was treated. The job itself wasn't very good. There were splotches of nail polish on her skin, and the ridges on her nails were not filed down properly. When she asked to have a nail repainted, the stylist wondered why she hadn't said anything before, and then proceeded to speak angrily in Vietnamese to a peer. The store itself was clean and presentable, but the service was unprofessional and not worth the $30. read more

Ouch. I called to make an appointment and I told them I wanted gel extensions with a french manicure. I came in for my appointment and they took me right away but didn't check for who I was, or what I called about so I thought that was kind of weird. I again explained that I wanted gel nail extensions since I am unfortunately a nail biter and my nails are quite short. I am going on vacation next week so I wanted to have some nice looking nails. The nail technician spoke very, very little english and spoke very quietly. About 10 minutes into the manicure, I wanted to double check. I asked "You're doing the nail extensions right? My nails are so short" and she nodded and said "yes yes". About halfway through the manicure, I was pretty certain she was just doing the french manicure on my real nails but at this point I just let it go. I don't really like to cause drama and sure enough, that was what I got. She also filed one nail down so badly it bled, and it is rather painful, even 8 hours later. Despite the bleeding and the communication issue, the tech did seem very sweet. My stubby nails look so silly with their french manicure but if you can look past that, the paint job itself is decent and was only $25. Really disappointed! Rarely get my nails professionally done, but decided to treat myself to a mani and pedi for our trip. The pedi was fine, end product looked like what I would do at home. As for the mani, horrible! 2 coats did not complete the job. She left paint on my skin and over my cuticles. Plus, my nails were not filed evenly. When I got home I showed my husband, he laughed! I'm not a "girlie girlie" but I do love a little me time. My entire family (four generations now) goes to Nini for mani/pedis. She's great! The new location is even better. I can get a pedi and a no-chip mani for $50. Where else can you get that!? She has plenty of color options and even brand options, which I like. I received the worst manicure at Nini Nails. The staff was not professional, the man that did my nails dug through what appeared to be a junk drawer to find a cuticle trimming tool. Then told me several times that my manicure would not last if I did not get Shellac manicure, when I clearly stated that I did not want a Shellac manicure. I then received the worst paint job ever. The salon is very clean, and surprisingly upscale considering their location is in a sparsely filled strip mall behind The Vintage brew pub. This is by far the worst place I have ever been too. When we walked in my friend wanted a manicure, and the lady directly pointed to the gel nail polish and said "here this is the cheapest one." So trusting the lady my friend picked the gel polish. My other friend was getting fake nails and asked for a shape on her nails and they try to charge her extra five dollars when it was supposed to be free. At the end I was expecting to pay $45 for me and my friend (the one with the gel polish) she said no $55 and I was asking why is it that 30 for my fake nails in 15 for the manicure. The lady said no $10 extra for the gel polish. I was extremely upset because I only had so much money and she was being very demanding, The owner was pressuring me in the beginning and demanding in the end I will never go back they made my friend with the fake nails all of her nails were crooked and different lengths.
