I love trying out pizza places sandwich's because I like a nice cheesey messy meatball sandwich and their Facebook page shows them making the meatballs in house so I had to try the meatball sandwich. As I drove over I realized that I have been to a pizza place in this spot before and they had a good thin crust pizza but why was my review not listed, aah it must be a new pizza place in this location and it was because it looked completely different on the inside, no more dining room and set up for takeout with a couple hi tables in front of the kitchen. The meatball sandwich was a little heftier than I expected and a decent size for $7.95, you can get a combo for $9.95 that comes with frys and slaw but I didn't get the combo. The meatball sandwich looked pretty good with mozzarella cheese oozing out of it and it came with a pickle spear. The meatball sandwich was tasty with tender meatballs in a red sauce that was not very sweet or runny on a very fresh/soft roll, I forgot to ask for my favorite which is put it on garlic bread. Overall was it the best meatball sandwich that I have have, na but it was not bad and it completely satisfied my craving for something in red sauce smothered in mozzarella cheese and I would probably stop back for the chicken Parmesan sandwich.

The Greenfield location for Mountain Mike's Pizza is the first in the Midwest (the closest…read morelocations previously were in Texas and Colorado). Continued expansion may be inevitable, so I figured I'd give their food a try see where it stacks up against other chain pizza stores. For Pi Day (March 14th) they had a special of a 6" mini pizza for free with the purchase of a 20oz soda. I got extra cheese and linguisa (a type of sausage) on the pizza. I also ordered six garlic not-knots for an appetizer. The garlic not-knots were very good. I didn't read the item description before ordering since I assumed they were just garlicky dough, so I was pleasantly surprised that they had cheese on/in them and a little crunch from the baked cheese. The pizza was ok. The linguista didn't stand out like I hoped it would and the amount of cheese on the pizza is what I would have expected it normally have, so I don't know if they added extra or not. That said, I'd rather have their pizza than Domino's, Pizza Hut, Toppers, or Little Caesars. Papa John's is still my preferred chain pizza store though. Two things that may hurt this Mountain Mike's chances of succeeding: price and location. Their pizzas are pretty expensive (for example, a 14" cheese pizza is $25). I definitely recommend signing up for their rewards to get discounts rather than paying full price. As for location, this particular strip mall is always packed, making parking very difficult. Being in a busy area not far from Southridge Mall is fine if you want a lot of potential customers, but that location might be a turn off once people try to visit.

The pizza was OK but the prices are outrageous. There are way better options if you stay…read morelocal/family owned for literally half the price.
