Okay first time here. My husband has raved about their calzones (or "rollos") over the years. I tried the baked mostaccioli and it was just okay. Plenty of cheese but the flavor was just kind of meh. The meatballs were okay. The calzone is huge. It was also so greasy that it leaked on everything else. However, I was told that it is still just as good as it used to be. We saw a special for a free garlic bread and tried to use a $1 off coupon when calling it in. When picking up, we were told you can't use the coupon with the bread special. Not a big deal but maybe say that when we are placing our order. All in all, will try again but maybe just stick with pizzas or rollos. read more

We have never eaten here but we figured we would try it on a whim. BEST PIZZA EVER! I am picky when it comes to pizza and this is hands down the best pizza I have ever had! With a bold statement like "world famous" built into the name, you better believe I was hesitant. Having now tried the pizza, I could see why other reviewers have a love/hate relationship with this pie. For starters, this is definitely a sweeter pizza sauce. Personally, I loved it but not everyone does and a sweeter sauce definitely changes the flavor profile. I went ahead and ordered a special with sausage, mushroom and onion. I definitely thought this toppings combo was delicious with a sweeter sauce, especially with the onion! Moving on, I saw they used canned mushrooms--personally, I prefer fresh but, overall, I like mushrooms on my pizza either way. Plus, this is more of an old-school joint than anything. The sausage was really good--really flavorful and not too greasy. Next, it's definitely a hand-tossed pizza which isn't my personal favorite go-to (I prefer a nice thin or cracker crust). Here, I can understand the appeal of a hand-tossed pizza with a recipe that's been used year after year. I think, for me, where the dough doesn't exactly rise (hehe) is that the dough, especially in the middle, was just way too soggy for me. Heck, the middle slices were falling apart when trying to dish it onto a plate. This pizza has even better potential if kept in the oven just a bit longer. Next time, I'll ask for mine to be "well done" and see what happens. Would I try it again? For sure. Do I think it's world famous? I'll leave that part up to you. ;) read more

Got a rolo last night and it was spectacular, I have been ordering food from here for 20 years and this was the best rolo I ever had! One thing to always remember if they make a mistake or the food is not perfect please voice your complaints with them because if they don't know things are not perfect they can't fix them!!! Was referred to come here by a friend. I was in town from California and was told this is one of the best pizzas my friend has had. Take out or delivery only, so don't expect a sit down pizza joint. I ordered a very basic pepperoni pizza. Absolutely delicious. Pizza sauce has a sweet taste to it. Will return again if I'm ever in Milwaukee. read more

Been here twice now, both times the time for pickup I have been given have been accurate and the food was ready when I arrived once both times with in 25 minutes, the second time I was a bit late, but food was still hot. The pizza is amazing and so far quality hasn't wavered. It's classic local pizza place style hand tosses, tastes amazing. The wings were also great. Overall it's a bit pricey but most definitely worth the price. read more

Their food is sooooo good. I love Marco's pizza. There's just something about their sauce that's oddly unique. Very sweet and savory. I'm also a huge fan of their fried chicken. Why do I rate them two stars then? The staff. First of all - the guy who answers the phone can sometimes be very gruff and customer service is definitely not his forte. I'm willing to forgive that. I don't need an ***-kissing everytime I order pizza. But I was shocked to see NO ONE in the entire restaurant was wearing masks. YUCK! You breathing all your COVID all over my pizza, brah? GTFOH. I had to change my five star review to a two star review because I was horrified. I will not be returning at least until COVID is over. read more

Great pizza; very generous with toppings and personally I love the taste of their sauce. The rude demeanor described in the other reviews is as consistent as the quality of their ALWAYS great pie! Our go to pizza pick up place. No frills but it's just good. Sauce is a little sweet, lots of cheese and the right amount of crust. Extra bonus that they have all the details of you last order associated with your phone number so before you start ordering they ask if you just want the same thing again (which we always do). read more

Marco's pizza is thick, doughy, greasy, cheesy, and HEAVY. When you pick up a slice, it kind of just flops over under its own weight. It reminds me of the gooey pizza the Ninja Turtles enjoyed in the early 90s: pizza you can order in and just sit with all night in your sewer home and then still have a ton left over in the morning because it is so darn FILLING. At first I thought $15-$20 was a little steep for a large pizza, but the price was quickly justified when I went to pick it up and felt a good 10lbs of pizza in my hands. It's carryout and delivery only, so you'll have to call ahead. On the phone you'll be greeted by a gruff voice that wants to know your name, your order and nothing else. These guys are no-nonsense and they make good pizza. read more

I can say In my honest opinion, my wife and I used to order and pick Marcos up all the time... after about 200 times we realized that the pizza is always hit or miss... Sometimes way to much sauce. Sometimes not enough. Sometimes way to much cheese. Sometimes a perfect amount. Sometimes the crust was perfect and sometimes it was to thin.. even burnt here and there.. I tried ordering less easy sauce and there would be none on there.. Along with that I don't think the people answering phones there should ever be allowed to deal with a customer. Of course unless you like speaking to a holes while ordering your food and giving a business your $... Between the rude customer service and hit or miss pizzas. We go to balestreri's pizza now on 68th or bluemound. Very professional and the pizza is exactly the same every single time.. AMAZING!!! Order from here if you want a good pie, MAYBE? We had Marco's for the first time on Friday (delivered) and we were delighted with the food. My wife and daughter had the pizza wihich had loads of cheese with the regular hand-tossed crust. The crust was chewy but not underdone. The sauce is the highlight of the pizza,...sweet but very fresh tasting...truly authentic! I had the 1/2 lb. bacon cheeseburger with the fixings. It was juicy, not greasy, and came with an abundance of fries. We look forward to trying their other items, especially their fried chicken and Italian dishes. read more

Marco's Pizza reminds me of my childhood. It was the pizza my parents would indulge us in every now and again. When my brother and I got older, we ditched the pizza (whose crust was occasionally burned) and headed for their cheeseburger baskets. Oh, heaven. Those burgers are massive and completely delicious. Buried under your pile of fries would be a pickle, made hot from it's location. It's literally a hole in the wall. I'd be surprised if you could fit four customers in their waiting area. I like their food. However the guys who answer the phones are just so crabby sounding. They sound like your a bother to them by calling. But the food is always hot tasty and usually comes sooner than they say. So they're DEFINETLY tip worthy. And they are STILL my GO TO pizza DELIVERY place if i dont order thin crust from dominos.
