Enter Larry, store proprietor, who did not gatekeep me for not being a gamer and gave me some useful tips as well. They have online video tutorials to watch if you're just getting started in painting miniatures, and also do classes on miniature painting. I bought what I was looking for (Citadel Agrax Earthshade) and can't wait to test it out on some "used universe" minis to grunge things up. :) Thanks to Larry for the assistance and the addition to my crafting arsenal.

Sorry but I work on my own equipment, and sneaking fake labor charges on receipts is theft...Their "sister store" (owned by the EX-wife of Batavia) in Schaumburg is not any better. In fact, Schaumburg could be worse. I experienced lack of enthusiasm, non-nowledgeable employees, low stock, and an awful shopping experience. Total waste of time. Not a place for young kids either, unless you want them around a bunch of egotistical adults. Dismal business owners dont care about their customers. I will be sharing my experience with fellow RC enthusiasts in the community. Your lack of enthusiasm really shows by all your reviews and poor attitude. When you're in it for the money, it shows. Too many people damage their RC due to lack of skill then expect a refund for some reason. This is not right! If you do encounter a problem days, weeks, or months after a purchase, contact the manufacturer and see if they can help! This is a hobby to learn and yes, damage and other problems happen sometimes, that is part of the hobby! NEVER BUYING FROM HERE AGAIN. RUDE AND LIARS!…read more Brought my kids to buy some model kits and some old guy goes up to my first son that was looking at the fidget toys. He tells my son to put it back cuz it might get dirty. I heard him say that to him. So he walks away from the fidget toys to me and i asked him i heard what i heard. So i ignored it. A few mins later, I checked on my other son looking at some other toys and im just watching on the other end of the isle. This old guys goes up to my son. My son is rummaging through the bins. He basically tells him to put the toy back. Im watching the whole time and i walk to to them and he tells me he was opening the package, which he was not cuz. Then the kid behind the counter says he was. First of all my kids know not to open any toys without buying it first. So these two people lied to my face to make my son be a bad guy. So my eight year old son starts crying in the store. The old guy said he said it nicely which was far from the truth. He scolded him for looking at the toys. This is a hobby shop with toys everywhere, why would you tell kids to put the toys down. So i put the things back that i was gonna buy and walked out with my kids. I support local businesses before buying online but I will gladly pay the shipping to not deal with that type of customer service. Shame on you guys for treating children that way.

I saw a straight line down the far side (there's almost always a straight line for the 100% GO FAST!! crowd) funny thing about these places, they're way funner if you listen more than talk; more often than not the guy running it is a professional...

We worked with Mike to coordinate a surprise birthday party for our 5 year old who's obsessed with…read morecars. Mike was super easy to work with and pricing was very reasonable to host a 2 hour party for kids. The main track can be dialed back so that the kids won't send the cars off the track. Mike (one man team) did a great job of rotating the kids in for races and even had a separate area for those not racing to send hot wheels care down an inclined race track to pass time while they awaited their turn. Overall the event was a success. We were able to bring in pizza from next door for food. I have pretty fond memories of my dad taking my brother and I slot car racing when we were kids so it was a really cool to be able to share the same experience with my son and his friends.
