Tl;dr: If you have a thing for clothes and want to experience the "best of the best" (in every…read moreregard), Jerry and Ivan at JB Clothiers are the guys to see. Period. From the first call to the final fitting - and their post-delivery followup - every aspect of my experience with them was aces. In too much detail: Absolutely fantastic in every regard - JBC isn't merely the finest tailoring Los Angeles has to offer - it's literally a "Destination Clothier." This is going to be a long review - but then again I had a really wonderful experience, and in so many ways, that I can't sum it up quickly. Personal background - I have 25 years' experience selling exotic cars to very high net worth clientele in Los Angeles, and I am very aware of a what a luxury experience looks and feels like. So I sort of walked in the door "loaded for bear." My other experiences had the veneer of luxury, but not the substance of luxury nor the quality of product. A glass of wine doesn't overcome the fact that the end result is a disappointment. Anyway - I could no longer find clothes "on the rack" that were made of fabrics I wanted (sport coats and suits in particular). I had tried two "made to measure" clothing stores (Suit Supply and Indochino) and been disappointed with the results, so I searched for a literal in-Los Angeles custom tailoring service (where I could consult *directly* with the tailor - not just an on-site rep for a tailor half a world away). After much deliberation, I made an appointment with JB. I must admit I was somewhat skeptical by this point, when I arrived for my first consult, even after all my investigation. The feel of JB Clothiers is EXACTLY what I was hoping to find when I walked in for my first consult. After meeting Jerry (the founder/proprietor) and his partner Ivan, I had great confidence that my research had paid off. The conversation about what I was looking for and how they could achieve it was quite in-depth (and I actually learned a few things about my taste). Jerry and Ivan suggested subtle ways of "expanding my taste envelope" while still well within my taste bandwidth. There are myriad choices to make - and with each one I was getting more excited to see the end result. The measuring process was thorough and precise, having me adopt different postures and re-measuring many times. I was there for the better part of an hour. About a month later, Jerry called to set up the first fitting appointment. I about died when I saw my coat for the first time. It's gorgeous and not so much a coat, as a garment, I think. The details are exquisite - and they are everywhere, beyond the special embroidery you'll be offered. It is quite literally a work of art. We tried it on, and made various adjustments, and I left not sure I'd be able to wait until it came back. Long story about how I Dunning-Kreuger'd the first alterations, which were literally put back on the 2d fitting. Sorry I wasted your time, guys. But by this time, I was so hooked on both the product and the experience, that I added a matching pair of slacks to the coat, turning it into a 2-Piece Suit. Going back the third time, I picked up the pants - they are not only gorgeous with the same attention to detail as the coat, but they fit me unlike any pants I have ever owned IN MY LIFE. They are utterly incredible. Fantastic! At the last fitting all of this was immediately and obviously worth every penny and every second of time. And admittedly, I'd added considerably to the time by the alterations I thought I wanted in the first fitting. I have tried this suit on with nearly every shirt/tie combo I can put together - it it so wonderful! This experience was very much a splurge for me - and I plan to do it again as soon as I can. Yes - I spent about 50% more than I would have for a Canali suit off the rack. But I got 5x the suit as a result. I'll never again waste money on clothing - what JB made for me is a lifetime investment, and no clothes I've ever had fit that description. Really not sure how to better convey my enthusiasm than to say I can't wait for the next time I decide to tread myself and add to my wardrobe. At the end of the day, the expenditure at JB will actually saved me in the long run - no more wasted money on clothes that are sorta "close enough" but never right. And no more wasted time trying to find them, either. Did I mention I love this suit? I love this suit! And I had a total blast along the way! Thanks guys!

This place is nice but maybe a little overrated…read more Jerry's not a bad guy and probably not a bad salesman. I thought I was coming in for a consultation, and I liked the fabrics and patterns we came up with, but he was disappointed that I was not ready to throw down $4,000 for the custom suit that day. (He convinced me that anything cheaper in his shop wasn't worth my time.) I can see why he likes to close the deal the day of. The more I thought about it, the less comfortable I felt throwing down than much for this suit... I had a few other reasons, too. Anyway, I sent a message to the store the next day, politely explaining why that I appreciated Jerry's time, but the shop wasn't for me. Jerry ended up calling me, and I wish I hadn't answered. He started trying to get me to get his cheaper stuff that had already talked me out of. He was pushy, dismissive of my reasons and all around unpleasant. I think they have some off the-rack suits available, too, and I believe they offer tailoring, but I am no longer interested. He'll probably respond to this and be dismissive again, but those are my two cents. He has a nice assistant. I won't pretend it's bad quality. Still three stars.

She was patient as I tried on other styles and even gave us an extra hour to make sure I found the right one. You really know a place has expertise when they can read your vision clearly and quickly. They seemed to know what I was looking for without dragging things out. The glowing reviews convinced me to book an appointment, and from the moment I walked in, I knew I was in the right place. The store was beautifully organized, with dresses neatly arranged by style, which immediately made the experience feel calm and inviting. I was greeted by Chloe, who introduced herself as my consultant. I showed her my Pinterest inspiration photos, shared my budget (with a little flexibility), and explained the features I was hoping for: a sweetheart or V-neckline, some shimmer, and a lightweight fabric like chiffon since my wedding is outdoors. She thoughtfully selected a few gowns for me and encouraged me to pick some as well. Let me just say--Chloe is the BEST stylist and ultimate hype woman you could ask for while dress shopping! The gowns she chose checked nearly every box, and some even had details I hadn't considered. The second dress I tried on--one of Chloe's picks--made me feel absolutely beautiful. It fit perfectly and had unexpected features I ended up loving, like being strapless (which I usually avoid) and having a longer train. When I mentioned I preferred straps, Chloe immediately suggested adding them--and even offered removable straps for two different looks! I had no idea that was possible. She brought out options and clipped them on so I could see the full vision. Although I had a strong feeling that dress might be "the one," I kept trying on others. Chloe truly listened to my feedback and gave honest opinions without ever being pushy. Each dress she pulled got closer to my vision. In the end, none of them made me feel the way that second dress did, so I tried it on again. Chloe suggested adding a veil and holding a faux bouquet to complete the look--and that sealed it. I felt confident, beautiful, and 100% sure. It was my dress--with the removable straps! When I told Chloe it was "the one," she was genuinely thrilled. She hugged me, celebrated with my bridesmaids and me, and took photos in their adorable photo area. She also clearly explained the payment process and provided a detailed quote, including alteration costs if I chose to do them there. Because of the incredible service and limited alteration options nearby, I decided to have my alterations done in-house as well. My dress arrived about four months later, and the process continued to be wonderful. I also want to give a special shoutout to Chloe's mom, the store owner who handled my alterations with such care, and to Rose, another sweet associate who helped take photos during fittings. Every appointment felt personal--Chloe, her mom, and Rose always remembered me, greeted me with smiles and hugs, and truly made me feel like family. For brides who prefer renting, that's also an option here. They also carry bridal accessories like veils and hairpieces, and even have a men's catalogue for suit orders. If you're not sure where to start your dress journey, I can't recommend Bella Wedding Bridal enough. The service is heartfelt, genuine, and so supportive. Thank you, Chloe and team, for helping me find my dream dress and making me feel so beautiful!

They've altered two long-sleeve barongs into short sleeves (one of which I purchased from their shop). I've also had shorts hemmed and a zipper replaced. Overall, I'm very happy with their work.

This business is great for standard tailoring, hemming. However, if you're looking for creativity,…read moreskill, and time management do NOT come here. If you're looking for typical and traditional barongs and boleros they're also great, however if I had known what I knew before coming here i would have been better off ordering from barong world and barong warehouse, etc, and yes I am pinay. My reason for a low rating is I researched Filipino dressmakers and signs pointed to this business. I brought my request and vision to FDM in March 2023, my wedding was December 2023. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and we drafted a plan. First red flag was she suggested satin for my top, to which I was thinking it would just be used for the filipiniana sleeves. My inspo pic that I wanted did nit have satin. Anyway Before i left my initial appointment she said it would be "ready" around June. I text her in July and she said theyre not going to start on my clothes (and my moms) until August. 2nd red flag. Come October she texts me my top is ready and i'm excited because FINALLY. I went to try the top and its all satin. Definitely not my vision; the top is thick and i cannot move in it because satin is unforgiving and non breathable. And i told her from the beginning this will be the outfit i will be changing and dancing into after my wedding gown. By the way the pants are not ready yet. Also I need to buy more liner for them. So i return weeks later (as im driving back and forth norwalk to hollywood) to drop off the material. At this point this is now a mercy project because even though I came 7 months earlier they did NOT start on my wedding clothes until now. Im hoping for the best for my pants. 2nd week of December my pants are ready. My wedding is also 22 days away at this point. It's a nightmare. The crotch was too high and the waist was tight. I also lost about 20 pounds from my initial measurements so that was confusing. I also asked her to put an elastic waistband as the design is for a palazzo wide leg with pleats look. There wasn't any of that. I tried to make suggestions to see if we can add/ change the pants but of course "theres not enough time." I return 15 days before my wedding and they make some changes but it's still terrible. No matter how many times i put it on, trying it with leggings and shapewear the quality is just poor with bad stitching and i'm scrambling in my head how to rescue my vision. Because I was already worried about the result of my outfit I ordered white pants online from various retailers as a substitute, and thank GOD I did. They came in on time, but remember the stiff satin blouse? That also became a nightmare to work with. Here is why I was furious: 1. I trusted a professional, yes she's a boomer but I still put faith in her experience but I should have been more specific and made detailed suggestions and maybe even show MORE photos. Or maybe even took more direction, but I'm also not the professional dress maker here. ALSO, in my experience constructing a tailored dress from scratch takes time! This is why I came to her in March/April. If something didn't work out, we could make changes to the material or design. The fact that my items were NOT fitted 1-2 months before my wedding is not excusable. Her excuse was that they had other orders that needed to be finished before mine and my moms. (fortunately i was able to suggest another added piece to my moms fit that made it look better than the original.) 2. My money, time, and gas were wasted. For my pieces alone with the fabric I spent around $700. Also driving from Norwalk to Hollywood each time to be disappointed was not fun. Thank God I was able to find another seamstress in orange county who could fix my satin filipiniana 6 days before the wedding. I'm ready to close this review and not look back. I will add that my husband's custom barong ($300) mom's clothes (all satin ensemble costing $500) ended up fine, and nice, but my mom is older and forgiving. I hyped her up a lot lol. As for my vision and those who want something modern, be warned and very careful coming here. All I will say is this, thank the Lord for Shein. Still give this business a try. However this was my honest experience for the services I was seeking and I will not be returning.

No apology, no attempt to resolve it. I brought in several high-end items for dry cleaning, including two Tom Ford shirts.. one dress shirt that retails around $500 and one silk shirt that is over $1,000. Both came back in worse condition than when they were dropped off. One had visible discoloration and damage near the collar. The other still had a stain and clear fabric damage, including pulling, puckering, and distortion of the silk weave. One of these shirts had only been worn once and did not have any of this damage beforehand. On top of that, my Loro Piana cashmere sweater was returned with stains and the cashmere looks scruffy. What's most concerning is that no warning or explanation was given at pickup. None of the damage was disclosed... I only noticed it after carefully inspecting the garments at home. This isn't a missed spot or minor issue; it's permanent fabric damage consistent with improper cleaning or pressing. When I brought this to the owner's attention, I was told there was "nothing he could do." Not even an apology. When a cleaner accepts delicate, designer garments, there is a basic duty of care and transparency if something goes wrong. That standard was completely ignored here. Do NOT bring expensive or delicate clothing to this place. Tailoring may be fine, but the dry cleaning quality, professionalism, and customer service were unacceptable.
