The shop owners displayed a disrespectful and condescending tone towards us, and Mr. Lim's body language gave us the impression that he was not trustworthy. In addition, we would like to note that the off-the-rack items are Asian size, which may not be suitable for all customers. We hope that the shop owners will take the necessary steps to improve their customer service and create a welcoming environment for all patrons. The unfortunate truth is 38 years Mr. Lim hasn't learned to to treated people with dignity and respect. I suggest future customers spend time researching & they'll find several local & online custom suit makers for same price with better treatment. Been coming here for over 20 years. Best suits in town. The owner/tailor may be somewhat older but he is up on all the recent trends in suits and fashion. You can pick out the material for your suit, shirt, etc. By far the best tailor around. That is why I've been coming here for so long. Just FYI, I wear a suit every day for work. It is important to not only be comfortable but long lasting. All the suits I have from here are not only comfortable and long lasting, but of great quality. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a custom suit. Well worth the price. Every person needs a suit. Terrible service. I would not recommend. I am spending time for this review because this is the only action that I can take as a consumer at this moment to vent out my fraustration and also for others to be aware before deciding to visit here and spend your valuable time. I purchased 4 pairs of suits and tailoring which costed me about $2,500. One of the jacket's back sewing popped and the threads on the tip of wrist were tearing apart only after wearing it 3~4 times. The worst part is the customer service, especially the owner. No sincere apologies. The owner was clearly annoyed about having to do this again and was not sorry for what happened at at all. His attitude was very dull, and he simply wanted me to go away. Very unprofessional. And now, when I went to pick up the jackets, they forgot to give back the pants for all 4 jackets. This is my 3rd time having to go there due to their mistakes.. It takes me 2 hours back and forth. I would not bother going this far for this place. Simply not worth it. read more

My father has been coming to this master tailor for 15 years, and it came with his highest recommendation. I came to get my first tailored suit for an important event, and I could not have asked for more. The couple who owns the shop were professional and very personable, but the thing that appealed to me most was that the tailor is savvy to modern styles. He is an older man, so I was afraid he would prefer a boxier/larger style like that of the 90s, but he measured and cut my suit perfectly the way I wanted. I have a much smaller frame than most American standards, so even though the size may fit me the waist size usually wouldn't fit (going for a slim fit look). However coming to I. Custom Tailors, they were able to find me custom suit and pants that looked so nice and they were able to customize it by the following day.. And they give nice deals if you end up buying more than one suit/pants but not 100% sure on that! read more

Here because of the sale they are having until the end of July - buy a suit and get one free of the same price or lesser value. The lady that was assisting us was kind, knowledgable, and helpful for what my dad wanted to get. Because of COVID, masks are required to enter the store and they provide sanitizer and gloves before entering the store. All the store workers wore masks as well. They also had a variety of selections. After purchasing, the alterations were done quickly and we were able to leave with 2 suits for the price of 1! My parents and I both had an excellent experience here amidst COVID. The sale is a steal and would recommend people to come here if they can! read more

We had an appointment here for a custom suit. The appointment was for 4:30. We were seated, and no one bothered with us until 4:45 - even though we kept reminding them that the suit was for a guest from Brazil who was on an extremely tight schedule. When my friend made the appointment, she made it CLEAR that we had to be seen at 4:30 on the dot and was assured that the afternoon would be clear and we'd be seen on time. Well, when my friend got there, we were already waiting with the guest... past our appointment time. She went and asked how much longer it would take, and was told to sit and wait for a little longer. After 10 minutes of waiting (by now, we've passed the 5 PM mark and our guest has already had to cancel his other plans for the night), she went to check again... AND THE LADY YELLED AT HER FOR ASKING AGAIN!!! Look, if my appointment time hasn't passed yet, and I keep pestering you, then yeah, that's my bad, and you can yell at me for being annoying. BUT IF YOU'RE THE ONE KEEPING ME WAITING PAST MY APPOINTMENT TIME, I expect you to be a bit more responsive and apologetic!!! read more

I've been meaning to write a review on this place for years, especially since my parents brought us here to buy my husband (then fiance) a custom suit. That was 5 yrs ago...oops! I agree with the pp that they are not the nicest. But if you're willing to deal w/ their lack of politeness, they really can accommodate you when it comes to a custom suit. you definitely should have someone that speaks korean. You'll have to ignore the tailor if he shakes his head at your requests, but just don't take it personally. He'll still do it! My hubby was very particular/anal about nearly every aspect of his suit, ever since he read an article in GQ magazine about what makes a suit a very modern/nice/expensive one. The gentleman thought some of our requests on the suit was a bit outlandish (such as the slanted pockets, side vents, the type of buttons on the sleeves, the style of the collar) and would shake his head, but he would do it anyway. After several weeks and fittings, the suit we got in the end was modern, fabulous, and exactly what we wanted. He gets compliments on it all the time, and in fact we ended up going back for a couple more suits and even had them make nice wool sportcoat for less formal occasions. The stitching on the inside even said "made for [hubby's name}". Nice touch! However, I do think you should just go somewhere else if you're NOT looking for a custom suit. read more

I got a custom tailored suit done here back in 2009. I'm Korean and I went with my mom and the customer service was top notch, so I'm not sure about all the negative reviews related to the service. I went with fabrics in their mid level price range. After telling the tailor what design features I wanted, he took my measurements and that was that. I made two more trips to the store after that; once for the initial fitting of the incomplete suit pieces and the final trip to pick up the suit. It cost me about $600. It was worth every penny. I've gotten suits tailored from scratch before and have had several follow up fittings and re-measurements after the initial fitting. After all that effort and work, the suits still didn't fit as nicely as the one I got from Italian Custom Tailors. With this place, after the initial measurements, everything fit perfectly. I am very picky and meticulous and I couldn't complain. It has been over 3 years since I've gotten the suit made, and it has held up great. Nothing has fallen apart. Stitching is good as new, no tears, and no missing buttons. It is my favorite suit and my go to suit for business meetings and special events. I'm looking forward to getting a navy or charcoal suit done here soon. read more

This is one of those things that when something is done well, the bad parts of it can and are overlooked. I just picked up my suits, and they are amazing. The first time I had a suit tailored for me, and it has to be the most comfortable suit I have worn in my few years of wearing suits. Everything looks like it may be too small, but once it's on, it all fits! As mentioned in the other reviews, the service is a little bit lacking. You will need to go in with some patience. There seems to be only one man that handles the business side, while the tailor does his own thing. It took about two weeks to get the suit finished with a fitting done in the middle, but I am already considering going back (maybe when I lose a little bit of weight) to get different colored suites with possibly different styles. Just a warning if you are going for the first time. Suits on display have a tendency to not look like real clothes to me, and judging how the suit looks based on the rolls of fabric is a little bit tricky. Go in with something in mind as to what you want in a suit, and they will do a good job at making it. read more

I paid for a custom-made suit, and visited twice for fitting to make sure that I wouldn't have to return from NYC for revisions. The tailor did not honor the promises timeline. More importantly, the suit was horribly made: arms were two inches short, pants were three inches short, calves leaned about three inches back, shoulders were an inch too narrow, waist line was so tight that I couldn't button the jacket, and lapels/chest stuck out when you managed to button the jacket. I returned to the store and asked them to either refund or a partial refund with a properly-made suit. The tailor and the owner lady never apologized for the poor craftsmanship. Instead, they refused to make any compromise and yelled at me in Korean. The tailor angrily huffed, "go ahead and sue me." Neither of them would compromise on a resolution, other than an offer to redo the suit, which would require that I return again for fitting and assume the risk of faulty remake. The lady claimed that customer service is their priority, but instead yelled at the customer. I'd go elsewhere for better value. read more
