I want to start by just explaining this isn't a carpet company that installs large areas of carpet. They primarily focus on repairs and look to you to have the carpet on hand or they can also cut out carpet from another part of the house to use. For us, we wanted to change out the first few steps on our staircase that gotten really from our kids and also the wear from stepping on them a lot. They were a little bit too roughed up to get deep cleaned and seemed to need you be replaced altogether. Nip and Tuck can do this for $50 per step (we did 5 steps for $250 total) but you need to provide the carpet. I went to Home Depot to pick up carpet samples and ultimately made my best guess. We over compensated on the amount before and spent about $90 on carpet. They were able to schedule us quickly and got the job done. But it was a bit of a pain going back and forth with the scheduler to understand their service. Initially she had suggested to cut out a corner of one of our closets. read more

After my first review, I got a call from the owner, and he wanted to make everything right. We talked about my experience, and I can tell he was genuinely apologetic. I know that some personalities don't mix, and when strangers come to your house to fix a problem you have, you hope that they are professional and have good customer service. One thing we must consider is that sometimes people have bad days, or your personality is oil to their water, and I should be okay with that as long as the work is done well. I was shocked at how much carpet was removed after they stretched it- great job. I learned from them to make sure when your carpet is installed the company u hired uses a stretcher, not just the knee jab thing. We were listing our home to sell and had a couple of damages in our carpet from our older cat and a transition that didn't hold properly.
