I was back in Conklin yesterday with two others and we had lunch at Nirchi's. All of us had pizza slices and found them to be delicious. I especially want to note the cheese pizza jalapeño poppers on top! Wow, unique with some heat and very tasty! BTW they now have four picnic tables (with umbrellas) outside and benches. Whenever I'm traveling through the Binghamton area, I have to stop at Nirchi's for some of the best tasting sheet pizzas I've had in Upstate NY. There are several Nirchi's locations throughout the Binghamton area. I stop at Conklin location on my trips to and from NE Penn. and it's a small detour off I-81 between Exit 1 and Exit 2W on Route 7. This place is cozy with the order counter and a few tables/booths. As a very frequent consumer of pizza, I prefer a soft dough texture crust topped with high quality and tasty ingredients. Nirchi's Pizza offers full sheet pizzas (24 slices), half sheet pizzas (12 slices), and 16" NY style round pizzas (8 slices), as well as breakfast pizza, subs, wraps, spiedies, salads, appetizers, garlic knots, wings, and Pepsi products. They also sell take & bake pizzas and usually have a good selection of pizza slices on hand. Current slice specials (in 02/2011) with soft drink are offered here at very fair prices including 3 Cheese Slices & Fountain Drink for $2.99 plus tax and 3 Specialty Slices & Fountain Drink for $4.29 plus tax, which is what I ordered on my recent visit. My favorite sheet pizza slices (square) are the Buffalo chicken (shredded chicken in a very spicy sauce), Nirchi's Deluxe (pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms), and the Chicken Bacon Ranch. The crust has a nice crisp on the bottom and edge and soft dough texture inside and the slices are loaded with plenty of tasty toppings. On my recent visit to the Conklin Nirchi's, my favorite pizza slices were very tasty with nice flavors (especially the very spicy Buffalo chicken, WOWSA!!), but the temperature of the slices was only warm and not piping hot. Three of us met up at Nirichi's today. We picked it for its location, menu, and outdoor seating. The staff was welcoming and informative. When we asked about one of the menu items, another customer chimed in on how good it was, which I took as a good sign. Two of us had chicken spiedie 8" sandwiches (one with cheese), which were excellent. The other person had a vegetable pizza on a cauliflower crust. Wow! This location has several picnic tables outside and the staff brought our order out to us when it was ready. We really enjoyed lunch. None of us live in that area, but if we did, we'd be back at Nirichi's soon. (Actually we might do another rendezvous there!) read more

Had a little taste of the new Artisan style Dill Pickle Pizza offered at Nirchi's Pizza in Conklin. With a house vinaigrette as the main sauce, pickles, dill, then finished with a ranch dressing drizzle... I found this slice to be rather delicious. Paired with a couple slices of Jalapeño Popper, which is a recipe unmatched by other pizzerias, today's eating experience was truly enjoyable. I order breakfast pizza from Nirchis often. It has cream cheeese instead of sauce. Apparently after ordering and calling back to ask- the Conklin store does not use cream cheese. So I have a sauce less sausage and bacon and egg pizza. It's not the same. And not near as good as a real breakfast pizza at other locations... read more

Whenever we visit family in NE Penn we get takeout pizza from Nirchi's. I'm originally from Chicago so I'm not familiar with this type of pizza, but it is very good, IMO. Like the previous reviewer said the buffalo chicken pizza is quite spicy, but it's very good. The wings here are quite tasty too. My husband and I ordered two 8-inch sandwiches: Italian and Cheesesteak. Both sandwiches were delicious in that the meat was fresh and full of flavor. The cheesesteak is the best one that I have had since moving to the Binghamton area from Philly. That's a big compliment, Nirchi's. :) As far as the sandwiches go, my biggest criticism is the bread. I would equate it to the taste of an enriched-white bread hot dog bun. On another occasion, I had my husband stop by Nirchis to bring home a pepperoni pizza, as I hadn't tried it before. I put it in the oven for a few minutes because I prefer my pizza to be crispy. After I got it out.. OMG, ya'll..... You would have thought I hadn't eaten in days. I gobbled it up in 5 minutes. My husband isn't a pizza fiend like me, so I plan on venturing to Nirchi's again when he is out of town to feed my addiction. read more

Would get 5 stars... BUT Ordered a salad at work and it was back seat of the car hot, also we order together at work, so I don't understand the $3 charge PER order if we pay separate. The food at Nirchi's is great. The pizza is sometimes cool but not cold. Most of the time the pizza is warm. I have been to most all of the Nirchi's around Broome County and all of them have good food and very friendly employees. All of the time when I go into a Nirchi's the employees say hello and smile when they take your order. Most of the Nirchi's keep their pizza in a heater with glass so you can see what kind of pizza they have. If you are looking for a great pizza place go to Nirchi's!!!!!!! read more
