I thought my taillight was LED, so instead of handling it myself, I went to the service center. I avoided the downtown location, known for being a ripoff, and went to the El Monte location instead. To cut to the chase, my car had a simple issue that could be fixed by replacing the lightbulb. However, the technician at El Monte didn't even check the basics and claimed there was an issue with the harness. Over two days, they spent more than six hours "studying" my car, even coming up with a conspiracy theory that maybe the problem was caused by a previous accident. They pointed out scratches inside my trunk, suggesting that a body shop must have messed something up. The reason I went to a body shop was just to fix a scratch on my door, which had nothing to do with the wiring in the trunk. Despite this, they were ready to charge me $500 for the repair. I couldn't trust them, so I asked my sister-in-law, who owns a body shop, to take a look. They replaced the lightbulb and told me that my taillight was not LED. They fixed it in just 20 minutes--mainly because I mentioned that Nissan had claimed there was an issue with the harness. If I hadn't told her that,They would have simply replaced the lightbulb right away. This experience showed me that Nissan service centers need more honesty and better technical knowledge about cars. When I called to complain, they doubled down on their conspiracy saying that they gaurantee one hundred percent that the body shop did fix it because the bodyshop know what they did to my car exactly...?(Dude, wth to be honest). And they told me that power wasn't reaching the taillight, so they said it was a system issue. But if the power isn't reaching the back, how is my taillight working just fine now? I have absolutely no reason to trust them. The service advisor's name is Josuah. I've learned my lesson and will never go back to a Nissan service center unless it's for a serious serious, system-related issue. I highly recommend Central Auto Bodyshop. I would actually like to give no stars. Do not come here. They are running scams. I have purchased 5 new cars in my adult life and 4 used ones. We had been texting with a sales rep all day after finding the car on car gurus. We were looking at a used car and the price was listed at $24,500 and it was confirmed on the phone that was the price. After driving 1.5 hours to get to the dealership there is a mandatory dealership accessory fee of $2400 that you have to get - it covers minor dings and scratches. It wasn't a good fit for us - since we would have to drive so far to utilize it. We asked for it to not be included in the finance package. Turns out - "the car was listed with the wrong price. they weren't going to make any money off it" - the managers exact words. He said that if I didn't want to purchase the accessory package I could have it for the new price of $26,900. It was priced wrong - their mistake - and that as of tomorrow the price is going to change to the "correct price." He also told me that if I had read the fine print on car gurus it says there are accessories fees. It's not listed anywhere. I have attached a screen recording of the site and the dealerships notes on the car. He told me that 4 other people came for the same car. And guess what. The guy gave me an estimated time of 3 hours for everything. He asked if I needed a ride home which I didn't know that they provided this service because I already had a cousin come pick me up. He informed me they will drive you back home if it's within 5 miles. Now I know for next time. A couple hours later I got a phone call telling me everything went fine with the inspection and oil change and my car was ready for pick up. Went to pay 70 dollars and got my car back. Especially Discount Tire Center near the El monte valley mall. I use to bounce back/forth but those guys over there were always trying to over charge me. I just go to this place now. The og owner here was cool but I guess he retired. There is a new owner and he's just as great. He tries to save me money every time. I only have one small complaint. Years ago they had a mechanic which is not there anymore. Well he was taking small parts off my car to put on his car(assumption). Every time I went, there was a small part missing. He had the same car but he's gone now so no worries lol. I took my Nissan Sentra in last month and I had the displeasure of doing business with Edgar. Edgar was browsing on his phone for a good while before even bothering to look up and help me. Then no one followed up when my car was finished and i had to find out by showing up and asking. Car came back with problems and i had to go through the whole process again, and wouldnt you believe it, they finished my car and failed to contact me once again. Those mechanics are good. I had my 2004 Nissan Murano SE fixed for engine hesitation problem. I had my car fixed at Ross Nissan before for same issue & dealer mechanics couldn't even find the problem. Instead, they fixed others unnecessary stuffs that cost me over $3K & still didn't fix the hesitation problem. Ross Nissan mechanics told me that it was bad catalytic converter & exhaust system. Not true (It's old but not bad & still in good condition)! I was not going spent another over $3.5k for 3rd times. Thanks but no thanks! I found this El Monte Auto Services LLC from Yelp & gave it a shot! No engine check light on but those guys find the problem (engine mount wear out) & fixed it. Reasonable price & great services. We have been bringing all of our cars here FOREVER. They are honest about what you need done and when you need it done. There have been a couple times I think I need brakes and they check them and let me know everything is still OK. Their prices are fair and when a repair/service is needed I'd rather spend the money $ here. We currently bring 2 Honda's, 2 Toyota's and our Ford F-150. They will let you know if its a warranty/recall item and if you need to take to dealership. Otherwise I do not take any of our cars to DEALERSHIP's even when brand new. I've been going to El Monte Nissan for 15 years now, hands down the best little shop within 200 miles. Had a 89 Nissan Hardbody, they kept it running well past 375,000 miles, when I gave it away it was still running strong. Currently have a 94 Pathfinder purchased with 80,000 miles in 2004, the odometer now reads 423,000 thanks to Try and his team at El Monte Nissan. I live in Upland, Ca and will have the Truck literally towed to El Monte Nissan for all service matters, YES... they are that good, that responsive, that trustworthy. Both trucks are used for field service, sometimes the truck is barley hanging in there like the "Memphis Belle" and it literally rolls into the front of their shop, I tell Lin a few problem descriptions and they jump right on it and I'm back on the road within an hr. I'm taking time out to write this review because their fairness and diligence must be noted, they have kept two trucks that should have been in the junkyard years ago still running strong, it's really amazing.
