Not good. Burger patty tasted like middle school cafeteria. Service was soso. Overpriced. Avoid.

We went to eat dinner there and the owner said his cook wasn't coming in so no food being sold. The owner has been cooking for his families restaurant for 40 plus years so him not stepping into the kitchen for his customers makes no sense. I liked the Nite Cap. I've never been in here before last week, but we dropped in for a pizza and some beers. I understand they have new owners, but I don't know anything about the previous owners or what it was like before, so I'm basing my review off only my recent visit and nothing more. The bartender came over to our table almost immediately and took our orders. She was quite friendly and seemed to know the food menu well. I didn't notice anyone else working the bar/dining room area, so that meant that she was covering every table herself. Despite that, she was both sweet and efficient. We ordered a pizza, which came out to the table in what I would call an appropriate amount of time. It wasn't too long and wasn't so quick to make me think it was a frozen pizza or anything like that. The pizza was a thin crust, which I don't usually order, but it was good and I thought it was great for a thin crust pie. I would order that pizza again if I was at the Nite Cap again. My wife and I both enjoyed the pizza. We ordered the smaller size, which had eight slices, and that was plenty for the two of us. We just didn't require a box for leftovers. We ordered our beers, but the first two selections that my wife asked for, they were out of. We finally settled on something else, Killian's, on draft and those were on the table immediately. My wife complained that they could have used more of a head on the top, but that was it. I looked over at the bar and they did have a nice selection of beers on tap. As we waited for our food, I noticed our surroundings. They have a sidewalk patio area that was just begging to be used once the weather warms up some. Inside was a cozy fireplace, a jukebox and lots of seating, including near the windows. The atmosphere was nice and it looked like some mild upgrades had been done recently, although I did notice the cover on one of the chairs at our table was pretty torn up. That needed to be replaced stat and I couldn't understand how the damage didn't stick out like a sore thumb to the staff, but I don't think they noticed. I thought it was a quaint little small town bar. Everyone seemed friendly and the food and service were all good. I would not be adverse to trying this little pub again for a brew and pizza, maybe even a stromboli or a burger, since both looked great based on what I saw other people ordering up at the bar. read more

The service was slow. The bartender was also the dining room server. The garlic bread appetizer was burnt. The $18 fried shrimp was a big disappointment; possible freezer burnt. The fries were soggy and room temperature by the time we got them. The burgers were okay but overall it was not a good dining experience. read more

Best food in Clio! Pizza is out of this world. Haven't had a bad meal here yet. You won't be disappointed!

I've been here a few times (usually during daytime) and it's a good local place to sit and have a beer and a snack. I like the chips they serve with their sandwiches, even though they're a bit too salty. There's nothing special about the place, but it's nice to have around in a city where nothing happens. read more

If you are interested in having the worst service of your life go to nite cap in clio. Its been 2 hours still no bill it took 1 hour and 40 minutes for chicken strips and theres only one other table in the whole restaurant. Will not be back read more

New owner is arrogant food is lame at best portions are nowhere close to what they were and the pricing is out of this world. It's Clio not West Bloomfield. Plenty of parking though LOL!!! read more

Great rodeo burgers, soups, club,pizza and pretty much anything! Drinks are inexpensive and strong!

Since the new owners took over this place has been horrible! They raised all the prices by a lot! I think the food could of been a little better! The old owners had way better food and prices! Food portions are very small & pricing is super high ! I paid almost $11 got a small ass burger and only 5 onion rings and the waitress never came back to check on us! Plus we never got drink refills! you should try the whistle stop across the street! You can get a great burger & fried with drink for $8.50! read more

Not impressed, just happened to be buy one stromboli get one half off, now I am by myself and cant eat one and a half dinners but bought one small stromboli and chicken wings. The wings were great, not spicy hot but thoroughly hot. When the strpomboli came out first thing I noticed was , it was white with very little brown on the edges. When I cut into it, it wasnt hot at all, barely warm. When she asked me how it was I was honest. They didnt like that and said it was good yesterday when I had it.
