My wife and I were looking for a place to go, a bit different, while staying in the Frankenmuth area. Italian sounded good, so off we went. Nice clean facility! Restrooms were clean. After looking at the menu, we came to the realization that there's only a few actual Italian dishes served. More of a family American restaurant; however, they do have Stromboli and pizza pies on their menu. Must say that their mixed drinks are extremely reasonable. They did not have Compari to make a Negroni and substituted Aperol. Overall, not a bad drink, especially at only $5! My wife had one of their specialty cocktails which was only $7 but too sweet for my taste buds. We ordered their garlic cheese bread with sauce, little did we know it was actually a 12 inch pizza with lots of mozzarella served with sauce! It was actually pretty good but way too big. I tried their Gonzalo steak tips while my wife ordered their pizza Margarita. Although the flavors in the Gorgonzola steak tips were nice there was only about five steak tips with of pasta and sauce. My wife's margarita pizza was presented well and the slice. I had tasted pretty good. We sat at the bar and had excellent service from Lucas. He was a fine young man who was affable and professional. If we do go back, we would try the Stromboli as it looked delicious! read more

My husband and I decided we wanted to have breakfast out even though our hotel offered an adequate breakfast. I am not into breakfast that much but decided to get an omelette! It as fabulous. I ate half there and brought the other half back for another meal. The potatoes were good and the toast was delicious too. Our server was so sweet and the atmosphere was very nice. The Stromboli was amazing! Service was great. Prices were definitely reasonable if not low for the quality and quantity. Atmosphere not so much. Super crazy bright lights. I do think a table near us might've been the reason for the noise but my ears and head hurt while trying to dine. Between the super bright lights (Sorry, but an Italian restaurant after 8pm shouldn't feel brighter than a cafeteria at 9am) and the ear breaking yelling around us, I couldn't go higher than 3 I'd recommend takeout! read more

In the past we absolutely loved this place and then we felt the quality was slipping. We haven't been over to the area in a while and thought we would visit here again and it was amazing as we had first experienced it years ago. The Chicago pizza was spot on and was absolutely delicious. And the staff was wonderful especially our server and Nellie who made me a wonderful drink I had never had before and she shared the recipe. They were both lots of fun and high energy. We loved coming here again. Everything we had was just delicious and we so enjoyed this place once again. We will absolutely be back and want to tell all our friends to be sure and check them out. Well this was an interesting visit. Without a doubt our waitress was new, she had no idea what the specials were or what came with them. The perch was gray and super crispy, you know burnt.. She was no where to be found for about 20 minutes. I requested sending it back. She said she would ask the manager. She took off the fish but changed me $6.00 for the side salad. What ever , then the beer price was wrong.......the bill ended up being $25ish and she asked if I needed change from a $50? Yes I do..... Popped in for late lunch / early dinner while on the road. Our server was great but he was the only redeeming thing about this place. Food all seemed to come from frozen or a jar. It's saturday at 4:30 so it's not too busy we get sat right away and our drink orders get taken. Overall service was pretty good my only complaint was how hard it was to find our server after that fact! I ordered a chicken Alfredo, a bit dry and bland for my liking. My party also ordered the chicken bbq pizza which was very good but needed more sauce! Overall the food and service was a pretty average experience however if I'm in the area again I might make a second stop :) read more

I had the gnocchi with marinara sauce baked with cheese on top. It was amazing! Our service was exceptional and the place was packed when we got there. This is quite frankly the worst Italian restaurant I've ever been to. The food is absolutely terrible. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan and it was laying on a bed of green peppers. The whole meal tasted like green pepper. The meat sauce on the side of spaghetti was bland. The quantity of food was large but a lot of bad food is not better than smaller portions. The lasagna looked better but I was told it was very bland too. The inside of the place is very nondescript. It doesn't feel like an Italian restaurant at all. The waiter was nice enough, but didn't really have a good handle on the menu. The weird thing about the menu is that they have a lot of burgers and Mexican food. That's super strange to me for an Italian place. They also have a ton of sandwiches which also felt weird. I asked if I could have the toppings from one of the sandwiches cooked on a flat bread for my meal and the answer was no. I actually couldn't believe that. Then when it's time to pay. The waiter wanted me to fill out the tip amount before they took my card. The whole experience was really strange. I will never go back and I cannot advise anyone to try it. read more

The only good thing was the waitress. We waited over an hour for food. When a member of our party went to complain about the wait, the manager came out and slammed our plates on the table and bumped into my child's shoulder because of his mad haste and didn't say excuse me. He then turned to the one who complained and angrily said is there anything else you need? Some food was ok some was not edible. We paid for it but left most there. While vacationing in Frankenmuth, we weren't impressed with our hotel's breakfast buffet and looked for a place locals would go to. We saw that daVinci's had breakfast and gave it a shot. The breakfast menu wasn't extensive but had the type of food we were looking for. We both ordered two eggs over easy with a side of bacon, which appeared to have been deep fried (my favorite way) and there was lots of bacon- probably six slices per plate and that made me REALLY happy! We both got toast with our meals, hubby got Italian bread and I got rye. Coffee was bold, hot and frequently refilled. Server was a little on the robotic side and not particularly friendly but the meal was what we were most interested in, and on that, they did not fail. It was delicious and the type of breakfast we'd get everyday if we lived closer. Great value, deliciously prepared and pleasant, clean environment. They are on our shortlist for breakfast if we come back to Frankenmuth! read more

there is nothing good about this place. inedible. i had the veal parmesan. the veal was unseasoned and tasted like it. the spaghetti sauce literally tasted like it came from a jar, yuk. the salad tasted old. the kicker? the affordability sign said 2 stars. it was $22 for that garbage. i should add my friend ordered spaghetti with the sausage. he got 2 halves of a 3" pc. of sausage cut in half. i threw it all away when i got home. oh, and the seating? terrible. right on top of each other. the horrible waitress was the dessert. read more

Had high hopes, the food looked good online, it took them 15-20 minutes to take our order, then it took a hour for the food to arrive to our table, mind you if it was a lot we would have understood, but three pizzas and two bread absolutely inn I way shape or form should take an hour to get to someone's table, I go ask the person behind the counter how long it would be and she was standing there with I assume the manager. He said it was coming right out. He brought a stack of plates to the table slammed them down. Then looked at me and asked if there was anything else he could do, I thought his tone was rude and so did my family and Jo said something to me later about it. As a gust in a restaurant I had every right to be upset after waiting an hour for food and then getting a disrespectful manager. Then we asked for the check and boxes took over 15 minutes to get the check. If you want to spend your entire night there then go there but otherwise I wouldn't step food here. Consistently good food, huge servings. I don't squally stick with spaghetti with meat sauce and meat balls, hubby tries different things. Never had a bad meal here. We travel from Lapeer. The date and I came here for a night away and were starving when we got into Frankenmuth. We drove through town and everything was packed, so since we didn't want to wait so we kept driving and found this place. Walking in, we were seated right away. We glanced at the menu and it didn't have a ton of stuff to choose from. Since we didn't want a huge meal, we split a 6 piece pizza to tide us over until dinner. The pizza itself was good but a bit greasy. We both shoveled it down and left. Total damage? $12 plus tip. Overall a decent visit and service was okay. I might return if I was desperate. First, we came because they show as Italian food but the menu is more American. Very few Italian options, more burgers and Mexican (so confused with this). Family all had Alfredo and said it lacked flavor, it was bland. I had the lasagna and it wasn't bad. Tons of cheeses. There are plenty of great things about this restaurant and it could easily get to 5 stars with a little bit of attention and details. A few items fell short of our expectations but most were great. There was a large church group (15) that had reservations. When we arrived we had our own side room, which needed the floors vacuumed. Another small group also shared the side room with us. We had our own wait staff and she was kept busy. Positives, plenty of food for a decent price. Despite the pizza everyone enjoyed their meal. This place is out of town and away from the rush of downtown. Negatives, no Parmesan cheese fresh or other for any of the meals. No garlic bread for the entrees. September 2018 Something changed with the menu. The prices remain affordable most meals will run 10-15(at most). The staff is still nice . We were here during a boil water advisory so the pop prices were expensive and no refills. Again no fault of restaurant. The food just seemed bland and different this time. There was 12 in the group this time . No kids menu for the 3 little ones. Not sure if there is a new cook or owner but still appears to be a better than average for the price. The waitress forgot 1 salad, 1 person a roll, and had to ask a few times for other things . We went down from 4 stars to 3. This place also seems to have lost its liquor license. read more

Nate our server was great! The food didn't have much taste. The only 2 good things were the salad and rolls. The pasta n sauce wasn't good at all. Unfortunately, I disagree with many of the reviews. This place was awful. For starters, our drinks were flat and appetizers were very underwhelming. We ordered mozzarella sticks and both of our sauces were very watery. For entrees, we ordered boneless wings and pasta. They were both flavorless and seemed like they were frozen meals. The pricing is high for the quality of the meals. We were charged an extra 3.5% just for using our card. We had planned to go to the brewery for dinner, but it turned out they were closed Mondays. A local shop owner directed us to daVinci's for some good grub, so we gave this place a try. We had a good meal and our server, Chris, was great. I highly recommend the fried pickles. 5 stars read more
