Melissa spent time with me on the phone and explained their classes as I've had some prior medical issues.

Ari, the Owner, is a master at her craft, teaching a variety of classes ranging from Vinyasa Yoga to Sculpting and Mobility. It's hot and sweaty so be prepared with towels and water, and classes are full so you are close and personal with the person next to you, but the sense of community is welcoming and truly special.

I was looking for a studio that is within walking distancing. And I'm kicking myself for not coming…read moreto Zen Den sooner... While it isn't super busy during the winter months - I'm positive this place is packed during the summer. When I'm back in town - I'll def get some drop in passes. Be aware that there are limited hours during the winter. By limited - I mean once a day (in-person or virtual), so schedule your work zoom meetings around it if you can. Listen - I'm not a habitual practice of yoga but this studio is so much more than that. I'm absolutely the least in tune and shape here, but I kind of love it that I also don't feel awkward in here/can flow and stop when needed. Think hit plus yoga. But be warn - I would def consider all of their classes relatively challenging even though it's for all levels. I almost brought my life experienced mother-in law a pass for the holidays, this would not have been a good fit for her if you are looking for a slow and senior flow. Go to the JCC for that. Although - this place would totally have a market for that demographic in the summer if they wanted a class like that. But - this ain't your momma's class. Things to note: 1) Everyone is vaccinated and proof of vaccination status is required for all members. I actually 100% came for this and I don't need to wear a mask. 2) Sign up online for $25 per a class but there are usually package or unlimited deals. If you are late - do not use the side door because it's probably locked. The front one usually stays opened. 3) Virtual classes during the live one (1/2 off). Hmmm - I might think about this since I don't live here year round but I do like going to classes feeling the energy from others. 4) always hot .. like 90+ ... bring a towel and water bc there is no way you are not dripping with sweat. 5)whoever posted a picture of the owner at the storming of the capital - that is not Ari and not the owner. To be honest - I hesitated to come here at first but then I realized that was not a legitimate posting. Bottom-line: this ain't your momma's yoga and hit class. Men and women and all genders come, sweat (it's always hot AF), and breathe together.

I have called repeatedly and no one answers the phone and have emailed them and it is an invalid email address. I was actually able to get a hold of someone 6 weeks ago who said she would take care of it and refund my money back but they have yet to do so. I am in the process now of disputing with my credit card company. Not good business people!!!!

First - barre was new to me and so I certainly wasn't use to this type of activity. For me, this was one intense workout that made me drip sweat like a land beast. I was sore after every class and really felt it in every muscle not just thighs or arms. Second - they have a lot of classes. You need early? They have early. You want late? They have that too. There is a class that will fit into your schedule and that's handy for someone like me whose work schedule isn't the same every day. Third - It's convenient and it's an attractive space in which to work out. Why does this matter? I don't know that it does, but so many people who write reviews always comment on the space if it's old, outdated, crusty, raggedy, etc. This place is new, modern, clean & cute. It's easy to get to, I never once had an issue with parking & there is a coffee shop literally 3 doors down for your post workout caffeine fix. Ok, so all that & only four stars? Well, it's small and the five classes I attended were all packed. I always felt like I was on top of someone or that I might kick someone if I didn't pay close attention. They don't have a changing room, I didn't know that for my first class & showed up in my work clothes & a gym bag. Their only restroom is inside the studio so you'll need to wait until class is over to go in there & change. That first time there was a queue of people who just finished working out waiting to use it and then me waiting like a dope to go change. I changed at work after that initial class. As a workout it is probably five stars, but as a whole, I never really felt fully comfortable there. I always felt like I was doing it wrong but seldom if ever got corrected. I always felt too clumsy, too sweaty, too frumpy, too fat, too much - but that's my own hang up not theirs. It's a great work out and fit in nicely between kickboxing & the gym. If you're going to give it a try, do yourself two favors - first, spend the $16 and buy the barre socks right away. Second, try to take at least one class with Marla - she was so encouraging and motivating, I wish she taught there more often but no matter who leads, you're going to get a great workout.

I recently started attending classes at Cycology 202 after signing up for a great "back-to-school"…read moreoffer --- $49 for two weeks of unlimited classes, and I've had a great experience so far. Located in the Glen Eagle shopping center (near the Gap, not far from Whole Foods), there is plenty of parking available. Upon walking inside, I've always been immediately greeted, checked in, and offered my size of cycling shoes (which are required to wear, so bring socks but don't worry about your sneakers). Without prompting, the instructors have recognized that I am new and offered help in setting up my bike to suit my size. There is bottled water available for purchase and they place towels at each bike station prior to class. They do not allow cell phones in the exercise rooms. Once everyone is set up, the instructor turns up the music and dims the light except for a few spotlights on the instructor, which feels like a club atmosphere. At times, especially when encouraging us to pedal as quickly as we can, they actually turn the light off entirely, which helps to keep your focus on yourself. They encourage you to pedal to the beat, then adding additional movements like push-ups, crunches, and arm weights while pedaling --- which is a real challenge and a great full body work-out. Classes can be reserved in advance via their website or their app, and you are able to reserve a specific bike (which was useful for attending class with a friend). The studio also offers barre and HIIT classes, but I have yet to try those.
