Very affordable and honestly, not bad at all. The food is actually really good. We love their house noodles--they're so flavorful and come with shrimp, chicken, and beef. It's the bomb! I always get the noodles, the chicken katsu curry, or the BBQ mix plate. read more

A solid Chinese food, no longer steam tables, more like come in and look at the menu, blink and see something else. I swear. I had made up my mind before coming, but when I got there it was the pictures of the food they made me change my mind, the katsu chicken is a must and I paired it this char sui. Rice and Mac salad come with every combo. We also had the beef and broccoli with lemon chicken, and mini katsu with soda. Generous with servings. You got what you paid for. The Mac salad was delicious. Well everything was delicious . Had to stop eating. Too the rest to share maybe later. read more

This is an updated review from two years ago. A friend recently told me she catered a lunch from here and the food was good! I decided to go back the other day and order a mini Mochiko Chicken. This used to be my favorite thing here. I was pleasantly surprised to find the Mochiko Chicken has improved since my visit two years ago. The waitress said the Cake Noodles were especially good. This place is absolute garbage. Every time you go there you get a different price and a different size portion of food based on who's working behind the counter. I order gravy fries (sometimes with cheese) add two fried eggs on top. You go at one time of the day it's like $6, you go other times it's $9. Depends on who's working the cash register. I normally get a large order of fries for $6 with the two eggs, but for $9 they give me a small container of fries? Crazy. So today I go in and get gravy fries with two fried eggs on top and a grilled cheese. The girl behind the counter can't understand and says you want gravy fries with cheese? I never said cheese, but I just go that's fine.. cheese is okay. So, she charges me like $10.50. I understand the chef/s don't speak English, but the Hawaiian counter people are just as bad with English and taking orders as well. After my food is ready the other lady goes I'm sorry we forgot to charge you for 2 eggs.. that'll be $5 more. $5 for two fried eggs? Now my bill is close to $16. Why does the receipt show gravy fries with cheese and under it +2 eggs and shows a price next to it? Since the chef/s don't speak English are they just overcharging me and pocketing the money? $16 bucks for a small fry, two eggs, and a grilled cheese? Rip off. I get all the way home and there's no gravy, and the grilled cheese is barely cooked. One time they ran out of fries and it looked like they went to McDonalds and bought fries.. they should tell you that you're not going to get the same crinkle cut fries you usually get. One of the best values on the big island. Big island food at mainland prices. This restaurant is small with about 10 booths Inside. It doesn't pull much of a sit in and dine crowd. Most are calling in orders for pickup. They have a website that you can put in order as well. For dine in, there is no view but the food is good and really reasonably priced. You can easily eat under $10 here as of April 2023. The food quality is as good as any of the other Hawaiian plate sort of restaurants we tried on big island. For the size they have a pretty big menu. And you'll likely save $5 per meal here - for a family of 4, $20 savings per meal will really add up. read more

I ordered the char sui chow menu, orange chicken and spicy squid and was very pleased with its taste. I no longer go out of my way to drive all the way to Pahoa to eat their food. Quality has gone downhill and they tried to rip me off last time I ate there. The mahi mahi fish sandwich literally only had half a fish chunk you could call it a bread burger and the fish was the condiment. Took 2 bites and only bread. Called the lady waitress cashier to show her and she asked what I wanted her to do about it. I said this is unacceptable to have no fish in this buns. She took the plate to the back kitchen and few minutes later she brought the very same sandwich back with an additional piece of fish stuffed inside. How do I know it was the same sandwich? There was my two bites that I took of the bread that the additional fish was sticking out of. I am not 100% sure if the last mahi mahi burger was real mahi mahi fish. The burnt oil taste overpowered the taste of the fish. They have to change their cooking oil because even though the fish pieces didn't look burnt, they sure tasted burnt. Their hamburger and fries was very tasty in the past when they used to change their cooking oil regularly. I really used to go out of my way to drive all the way to Pahoa to eat at certain restaurants because I can be really picky about my food regardless of price. I really don't mind paying a hefty premium for premium quality food. I used to eat out on a daily basis before Covid and spending a lot of my hard earned money so it wasn't any issue when it came to eating out as long as the quality and tastiness was there I didn't mind spending $40-$60 on one sitting at some restaurants. read more

We came here late at night (almost 9) after a long bike ride and long drive home. We were tired, hungry, and in a rush. This restaurant was getting ready to close but they were kind enough to let us order. The girl at the counter clearly looked annoyed but she still treated us with respect, which is very appreciated. The food was definitely not great. I got the mahi mahi burger which was basically a McDonald's fish burger with one shred of lettuce on it. The katsu chicken was slightly better but still not good. I went there for breakfast and I was little earlier than they opened. The young lady there opened early took my order early and I felt that was the sweetest most professional gesture. I had waited patiently outside a ways from the door not to be a nuance. She was happy to be there and happy to help me. They have great food and the amount of food for the price is amazing. The menu can be confusing given how it is written and the multiple versions. Most ala carte items come in two sizes (medium [serves 1 person] and large [easily serves 2]). They also have combination plates that can be ordered anytime, not just at lunch time as per their menu title. We had orange chicken and beef/broccoli. We also got their house fried rice and fried dumplings. jLoved the beef and broccoli, liked the orange chicken (a bit tough and chewy).
