As I walked in it was like the old EF Hutton commercials where everyone froze and stared. Thankfully the bartender/waitress with the ACDC Highway To Hell shirt was friendly. I just wanted some grub and she hooked me up. This is not a heathy area to dine, as pretty much the entire menu is just a big plate of brown. Fried tater tots. Fried Cheese Balls. Fried Shrimp. I was the ONLY person in the dining area on a Saturday night at 8:00. The slots and drinks must keep them in business because nobody was crashing the doors for the food. While eating I got to look around and like some other reviewers said - it was like being in the middle of a garage sale. Knickknacks and stuff everywhere. Seeing Christmas decorations on the piano when it was 75 degrees outside and summer just ending made me wonder what live is really like in this area. I thank them for the experience even if it was very odd.

Solid memories of my two stops in here while I was in town…read more The pizza here is locally famous, so I'd heard it about it from coworkers long before I got to town for work. Someone from a company we work with in the area had been in town for months and become a regular here, so my 2nd visit was even better. Grab a Cold Smoke Scotch Ale on tap for an excellent Montana-local beer on tap. Other good beers on tap are available if you want to stray from there. On my 1st visit, someone recommended the tenderloin steak tips, so I decided to save the famous pizza for the 2nd visit. Good call - the steak tips were solid. Wish I could remember what else I ordered. On 2nd visit (with regular leading the way), we went with the cheeseburger pizza, which sounded kinda weird, yet... gotta try something new, soooo... we did! And it was awesome. So good - never had anything like it before. Got cheese curds on the side, which were also stellar. Dined in both times, enhancing the piping hot and fresh experience vs taking something back to the room. Not sure if dining with a regular got me a 5-star experience or if it's always that awesome, but I've thought about this bar several times since I went... so that merits a solid review. I'll definitely be back when I'm back in town.

I'm not trying to be rude or bash the place, but now that I no longer work here, I feel like people…read moreshould know about some of the things I personally saw while working here. There were pickle buckets that had what looked like black mold on them. The ice buckets were rarely cleaned, and I personally saw a bug in the ice that was being kept for serving drinks. There were also constantly flies around the bar and other areas of the building. There were rodent traps around the building that, from what I saw, weren't being checked regularly. At one point, a dead rodent was left in a trap long enough that it started to decompose and caused a noticeable smell in the building. I understand that no bar is going to be perfect and that bugs or mice can happen, but these weren't just one time things from what I saw. Seeing these issues continue without being properly dealt with was concerning to me. I'm not writing this to be spiteful or to get anyone in trouble. I just think customers deserve to know what I personally witnessed while I worked there. Hopefully management takes the cleaning and pest issues more seriously.

As we did in 2017, we also climbed Devils Tower. And we built up an appetite. Driving in we saw the sign "Best Bison Burgers..." and that sounded good... shortly after climbing, we were welcomed by Jonah and seated and ordering. We had worked up an appetite... about 15 minutes later the three of us had enjoyed 5 bison cheeseburgers, with house made chips, and extra pickles. The beer is all bottles, no local beers or microbrews but there was still a large selection of at least 15 or 20 different beers and a full bar too. They served popcorn while you wait for food. There are several TVs to watch games and stuff. The bartender is great and will tell you anything and everything you need to know about the area and the Enchanted Highway art. There is not a huge staff, so you might need some patience on a super busy night. They definitely hustle and do their best to serve you as quickly as possible.
