    No Insurance and no Authority

Review: Beware of NMLD LLC - Predatory Towing Practices I recently had a terrible experience at the Charlotte Travel Plaza where we parked our truck and signed in as instructed. The very next day, our truck was towed by NMLD LLC, a company operating under two different DOT/MC numbers listed in the FMCSA database. Shockingly, NMLD LLC does not have the authority to operate a towing company in North Carolina and lacks the required insurance. NMLD LLC preys on unsuspecting truck drivers at the travel plaza. The sign-up sheet appears to be bait, and the company promptly tows trucks without drivers present. Here are the main issues we faced: Lack of Proper Signage: The parking area lacked adequate and visible signage indicating towing regulations, violating legal requirements. Immediate Towing: Our vehicle was towed within an unreasonable timeframe, clearly targeting it for predatory reasons. Excessive Fees: The towing and storage fees were exorbitant and not aligned with industry standards or legal limitations. No Prior Notification: We were not notified or given a reasonable opportunity to rectify the alleged violation before the vehicle was towed, despite providing our contact information on the sign-in sheet. Unauthorized Operation: According to the FMCSA website, NMLD LLC is not authorized to tow vehicles in North Carolina. Their authority only covers general freight and towing in Michigan, failing to comply with Federal Motor Carrier guidelines. We have reported this predatory towing company to CMPD, DOT, the City of Charlotte, WSOCTV, FMCSA, and the State Attorney's office. The invoice we received for $10,000 is outrageous, and we urge others to avoid parking at this location. Tedaria Frank Edwards NMLD Towing LLC 5305 Park Brook Drive Charlotte, NC 28269 No More Locked Doors LLC 324 Maple Court Kalamazoo, MI 49001 DOT# 4165771 & DOT# 2399068 Invoice #2909 - August 7, 2024 Impound/towing: $7,000.00 Storage fee: $1,500.00 Administration fee gate fee: $1,500.00 Total: $10,000.00 This company is a scam, and their unprofessional and predatory practices are set up in several states, including Florida, Michigan, and Atlanta. Please be aware and do not fall victim to their schemes.

Actual location of this business Just a home address, no commercial business

OK, as a general rule if you're towing company, you would have vehicles listed. All of your photos are stock photos with no names or DOT numbers posted on your trucks. These guys are scam artist they are parking enforcement artist they post their legal signs and then they boot your truck or car not sure, but they charge an excessive fee for booting a truck $1500. If you wait till in the morning, it's $2500. I entered the road from Graham and there is a sign that says towing enforced that sign is obscured by another sign in front of it and turn with a large truck. You're not seeing it facility on N. Graham rd Charlotte NC is a free parking facility as long as you notify the store I arrived a little after 9 PM. The store closes at 10 PM which I did not realize I was not signed in so I had to pay, again unecessarily excessive guy can't pay till in the morning and his fee is $2500, these guys are not a real towing company I would bet that if you went where they were, they don't even own a tow truck. Their vehicles are not marked with towing company logos that show up to collect the money which they're supposed to be in Charlotte.. they're also supposed to provide you with an ID stating the company they work for that. They don't do the zoo area for us never heard of them. My family owns a large towing company in Michigan still again never heard of them. They are based on my personal opinion frauds. They don't even have an operational location open in the charlotte area. I just realized they have no authority to operate in Charlotte either. They are based out of Michigan, and have no MC authority for crossing state lines, that is required by federal law.

Terrible thugs At no more locked doors llc I parked my truck at the sunset location on sunset I singed in and I was handed the wrong color window slip. Wednesday night I go load up my truck it's not where I parked it, later to find out my truck has been towed that Wednesday evening no longer no one called the company or myself to tell us where my truck was towed to and the number on the window slip went straight to voicemail. After calling my company and tracking the truck I found it at an obscure lot in huntersville roughly 7 miles where it was taken from as I entered the gate I was approached by a gun wielding yard man cursing and yelling at me as I'm trying to explain to him this is my truck and I have a load in the trailer and ask why is my truck here he raises the gun to my face and tells me to get the F out of his yard I call the police huntersville police explained to them my truck was illegally towed and a gun was pointed in my face they told me they couldn't do anything about it It's a civil case The next morning I call the number on the card a extremely rude man tells me he doesn't see my name or company name that I singed at the check in location and that I had to pay $10k to get my truck released towing it 7 miles and "storage" when I asked why his employee felt the need to point a gun in my face he said not my problem and hung up My company ended up paying $7500 to get my truck released Also while towing my vehicle they didn't disconnect the driveshaft of the vehicle and has caused transmission issues that I never had before. These idiots need to be shut down

It is with a heavy heart that I must submit this review. However, I have spoken with SGI Transport…read moreon several occasions and no course of action has taken place and I have been treated very unfairly with the accident that their business caused. On July 26th, 2025 SGI Transport INC provided a mobile service to change and replace a flat tire on one of my work vehicles. (The end of July until mid-August is our slowest time of the season and the truck was not utilized.) However, August 21st, 2025 when we were back to using the truck the tire and rim COMPLETELY broke off of the truck. My driver was not hurt physically or any other driver thankfully. However, my driver was emotionally scared and quit as a result. After having the truck towed to the Auto Repair Shop, the diagnostic reported that the tire was not properly reinstalled and secured. (This is a heavy 6,000 lb truck). As a result, when my driver was driving the tire was loose and the vibration from the truck and road SNAPPED each stud one by one until the rim and tire flew off into the woods off the side of the road, never recovered. I kindly called Eric at SGI Transport and explained the situation. He recalled it very well of the tire change and mentioned that he informed my driver that a lug nut was missing (however, the next day Kevin mentioned that Eric misspoke and it was actually a stud missing). Regardless of what vital piece was missing, I as the owner and payee was never notified. The receipt that was provided only had the tire size and location in the notes but never informed us of the safety hazard of a missing "lug nut" or "stud". This accident could have resulted in a fatality and I was extremely disappointed when I called SGI Transport and spoke with Eric. He was very defensive and stated that it was my fault for "not paying attention to my business." I was shocked that he would speak to a customer in that manner. He then proceeded to use excessive profanity and then hung the phone up on me. I called back and was presented with the same treatment and then hung up on again. The following day I called back and I believe that I spoke with Kevin. He was calmer and more collect and we actually had a discussion about the situation. He then asked for me to email him the pictures and repairs but they guy or SGI Transport never responded to show the slightest of concern for my driver or situation that they caused. I am all for supporting other small business owner's and I was very patient with waiting for them to do the right thing, but I refuse to be bullied and ignored and punished for negligence during their installation. Knowing that a "lug nut" or "stud" was missing from the tire and it being a safety hazard and SGI still proceeding with the job was unprofessional and extremely irresponsible from a fiduciary stance. It turns out that the company also has a BBB (Better Business Bureau) complaint against them from January 2025.

I had a blowout on I-77N and they came out (took a minute so I went to a safe place) they texted me…read morewhen 20 minutes out. They did all the tests on the new tire and installed it on the side of 77N. 1-Star Review I had…read morea very negative experience with Warrior Towing & Recovery LLC at 2708 Midland Ave, Charlotte, NC 28208, on 05/23/2026. My vehicle had a lock placed on it, and the instruction card clearly stated that the removal fee was $250 if paid in cash versus paying by card. I chose to pay in cash specifically because I did not want to provide additional personal or payment information to a stranger or unfamiliar company. However, even after I paid cash, the person who arrived still required me to show both my license and registration before removing the lock. There was nothing incorrect with my registration. When the company called me back, they asked if something was wrong with my registration and then treated me as though I had done something improper with my own vehicle. The interaction was rude, unprofessional, and very intimidating. When I asked for the person's name, he responded that it was "none of my business." When I asked for proof that this was legitimate and not a scam, or proof that they were authorized to perform this work, I was again told that it was none of my business. The person who arrived also appeared in military-style clothing and a protective vest, which felt unnecessary and intimidating, especially since I am handicapped. I understand that my sticker was out of date, but the issue has been tied to delays with the NC DMV processing paperwork, which I was told could take several months. That does not excuse being treated disrespectfully or being denied basic information about who I was dealing with. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Warrior Towing & Recovery LLC. Their process, communication, and customer interaction were extremely unprofessional. I also noticed they advertise other automobile services, but based on how this situation was handled, I would not trust them with my vehicle.

So don't used these people because this is a LEGAL scam!!! I have prove that they were pushing on my car to see a date or to see if it was expired. AND IT'S NOT!!! There were 3 cars they did that way. So now I have to go to small claims court to get my money back. THERE SERVICE WERE TERRIBLE. I will let yall know the outcome. And I will be talking to Walmart's Store Manager and HR. Be careful because they're just picking people's cars up. Then acting like they can't speak English. The problem NOT legal. I will be checking on that as well!!
