    Red Pepper Salmon

I don't know why this place only has 3.5 stars. I loved everything about this place. The only thing that's unfortunate is they don't take reservations. We put our name in and went to the bar. Friendly staff and they make great drinks. I had a Dirty Martini with an interesting twist on it....an olive oil wash? It had a rosemary flavored olive oil in it. Also amazing blue cheese stuffed olives. Sometimes you get those and they taste old. Bartender said they hand stuff them fresh. We didn't have to wait long for our table and we were able to sit outside on the deck which was beautiful. The grassy area down below looks so cute as well, but I was glad we got one of the few tables up top on the deck. Thankfully didn't get attacked by bees which is common this time of year. We split the Caesar salad which was delicious and I got the Cold Soba Noodle Bowl with added Grilled Shrimp. Amazing. Note....it is spicy!! I love spice though. Boyfriend got the Roasted Red Pepper Salmon and it came with the most amazing risotto I've ever had. Very cheesy and delicious. Presentation lacking on that dish (pictured) but the taste made up for it. He very much enjoyed his meal. Very nice time and would definitely come back.

Go to the Spritz Deck!!! Inside bar & dining room is great as well and you can't beat the views of the marina. Food and drinks are both well crafted.

We stopped on a Friday night and had a lovely dinner outdoors. We were lucky and got seated within minutes. Our hostess was very nice. We had fish tacos and a chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was a really good size. A lot of bit dry but tasty overall. They were all out of the Heineken zero but I had a very good mocktail ( Lavander spritz I believe) . The tacos were a little on the small side but very tasty. The ambience was great as they had life music and the singer that night was very good. Returning for sure!

Service pretty slow. Nice menu. We were here for drinks (don't judge!) but many friends were here in the last week and all enjoyed the food. Based on that I would recommend eating here but be patient. They seem to be understaffed on purpose.

What a find!! We are already planning to come back with friends. Driving through Essex with plans to have a late lunch at the Griswold Inn but with the Music Festival going on there was no parking in sight. Luckily we drove to the end of the road and saw the Noah's Restaurant sign and with them having their own parking lot we thought let's give it a try. So glad we did! Best lobster roll I have eaten. Fresh lobster, roll was perfectly grilled and the side of butter to put on top was awesome. Started off with a wonderful Caesar Salad... one of best one's I have had. Can't wait to go back and get the exact same things. My wife started off with a Brussel sprouts appetizer which she enjoyed and had a wonderful Summer Salad with Avocado. Service by Ashley was outstanding and host young ladies were extremely welcoming and they all took care of clearing plates and glasses off the table as they saw them. Again... wonderful experience we are coming back and bringing our friends.

We had a lovely lunch overlooking the Connecticut River today at Noah's. The cocktails and food were delicious. We especially loved the Search and Rescue -- their take on a paper plane. The shrimp cocktail was great and the chowder free of excessive corn starch! The seasonal salad with berries was refreshing and the dry rub chicken wings were a table favorite. It's even handicapped accessible We'll be back!

Great location in Essex by the water. They have a very nice bar and outdoor dining tables. With a view of the marina and the CT. River. They even have tables on the lawn and you could bring your dog. Small food menu with something for every palet. An extensive cocktail list and They're all so beautiful! I wished they had stuffies and steamed lobster. Maybe for the summer. I had the viet Cajun boil. With a Thai lemongrass broth. So delicious I ate all of the bread to sop up the sauce! My husband had the Tex bowel with chicken. It had very fresh ingredients! Our bartender was friendly. We will definitely be back.

It had indicated me through the emails that the tickets would have been delivered in the mail and I would have to have them prepared, but they never arrived or delivered. You are able to pick them up at the booth. As you embark on the North Pole Express experience, your actor on your carriage/wagon will begin to story-tell, and they also sing a few Christmas songs throughout the experience. They pass a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie to each passenger. I'd personally say that this experience was more directed towards kids. This was my first experience with something like this, but if I were to ever return, it would mainly be to bring a child, since it's geared towards children. I've heard there are other North Pole Express train experiences in other cities that are more adult oriented. Although this was the case, it was still an enjoyable experience. Both Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus appeared outside and soon made their way to the carriages. The actress was incredibly interactive and kind with everyone on board.

Whatever menu I was handed that had the lobster roll description on It did not have a description that included onions. There seem to have been multiple menus the restaurant had that day. When I was outside a server said that she would bring over the lobster menu (this menu was not given to me) when I was reading off of the original menu I was given the lobster roll did not include onion. Honest mistake of wrong menu being given, but it helps for customers to know what ingredients are in things like that when dealing with food sensitivities. The server never checked in to ask how the meal was/if I needed anything. I was a server for over 10 years and I know that's the first things I do after dropping off someone's food to ensure everything is good. There was food left on my plate, fries. I'm almost 50 and live on the West Coast so for my summer sabbatical a stay and a meal was a dream come true and on it's 250th birthday too! The Stay : Check in was easy and the front desk staff gave my boyfriend and I a full folder of facts and information on what to do at the inn and beyond. We also secured reservations for dinner later. We had a lovely corner room on the third floor. The bed was high but comfortable and modernized in the sense that the AC unit worked well and so did the wifi. The bathroom was probably the weakest point - small and not great water pressure but hello you are in the oldest continuously run inn in the US. There are many charming nooks and crannies including adjacent sitting rooms and outdoor rocking chairs. The Meal : 7:30 Dinner reservation and we were seated right away in the back dining area where we were surrounded by images of boats and ships. It was busy but the service was prompt and attentive. The bread was warm and yummy. I had a delicious bowl of New England Clam Chowder and the grilled pork chop off the summer menu. It was so delicious and filling that even though I really wanted dessert , I couldn't fit any more. My boyfriend's prime rib was fall off the bone tender. When we arrived at the hostess station, she verified the reservation and immediately led us to a table in a small room off the main dining area and bar. The entire dining area is old wood -- floor, wall, ceiling -- and the room we were in had narrow floor-to-ceiling bookcases filled with hardcover books. I write this to demonstrate that all the decor served to dampen the sound despite nearly all tables being occupied. While you could hear the bustle and conversations around you, you could still have a conversation. Our server greeted us promptly and took a drink order. When he returned with our drinks, we ordered the clam chowder and braised short ribs for my wife and a wedge salad with the dry-rubbed pork chop for me. After entering our order, our server returned with a basket of warm dinner rolls and butter, then minutes later brought out our soup and salad. Both appetizers were terrific, and I think that may be one of the best blue cheese dressings I've had. Water glasses were refilled frequently without being asked and dishes were cleared by other waitstaff. We never wanted for anything, and none of the comings and goings were disruptive. This was a professional and competent team. Our entrees were served shortly after we finished our appetizers, and they were beautifully presented on the plates. My wife loved her short ribs, which she said melted in her mouth. Until this meal, I've yet to find pork chops to surpass the ones I make at home, but this was truly exceptional! While the mango salsa topping the chop was nice, it was completely unnecessary as the chop was well seasoned and juicy. We capped off the meal with desserts, a chocolate mousse pie for my wife, a warm butter caramel cake with berry compote for me. Delicious! We'll be back to this gem of a place!
