We stopped on a Friday night and had a lovely dinner outdoors. We were lucky and got seated within minutes. Our hostess was very nice. We had fish tacos and a chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was a really good size. A lot of bit dry but tasty overall. They were all out of the Heineken zero but I had a very good mocktail ( Lavander spritz I believe) . The tacos were a little on the small side but very tasty. The ambience was great as they had life music and the singer that night was very good. Returning for sure!

Service pretty slow. Nice menu. We were here for drinks (don't judge!) but many friends were here in the last week and all enjoyed the food. Based on that I would recommend eating here but be patient. They seem to be understaffed on purpose.

What a find!! We are already planning to come back with friends. Driving through Essex with plans to have a late lunch at the Griswold Inn but with the Music Festival going on there was no parking in sight. Luckily we drove to the end of the road and saw the Noah's Restaurant sign and with them having their own parking lot we thought let's give it a try. So glad we did! Best lobster roll I have eaten. Fresh lobster, roll was perfectly grilled and the side of butter to put on top was awesome. Started off with a wonderful Caesar Salad... one of best one's I have had. Can't wait to go back and get the exact same things. My wife started off with a Brussel sprouts appetizer which she enjoyed and had a wonderful Summer Salad with Avocado. Service by Ashley was outstanding and host young ladies were extremely welcoming and they all took care of clearing plates and glasses off the table as they saw them. Again... wonderful experience we are coming back and bringing our friends.

We had a lovely lunch overlooking the Connecticut River today at Noah's. The cocktails and food were delicious. We especially loved the Search and Rescue -- their take on a paper plane. The shrimp cocktail was great and the chowder free of excessive corn starch! The seasonal salad with berries was refreshing and the dry rub chicken wings were a table favorite. It's even handicapped accessible We'll be back!

Initially I was going to try a different place for lunch but I stopped a gentleman for directions and he told me the place I was looking for was closed for the season but he recommended Noah's. Now this place was difficult to find but I'm glad I didn't give up with trying to find them. I called the restaurant for helpful hints on where they were located. They are behind the Essex Boat works. Once you see the Essex Boat works you'll make the right onto the gravel and in the back is Noah's. The only downside I have is I wish there was signage to find the place better. Other than that my experience was fantastic. The food was great came out the perfect temperature hot and great flavors. The drinks were tasty and the waitress Nicole was very helpful in her drink suggestions. Nicole was very attentive and had great customer service with checking in. I would definitely return again as the appearance was clean and the background music was appealing.

Their version of Tortola's Painkiller. Close your eyes and pretend you're there!

Great location in Essex by the water. They have a very nice bar and outdoor dining tables. With a view of the marina and the CT. River. They even have tables on the lawn and you could bring your dog. Small food menu with something for every palet. An extensive cocktail list and They're all so beautiful! I wished they had stuffies and steamed lobster. Maybe for the summer. I had the viet Cajun boil. With a Thai lemongrass broth. So delicious I ate all of the bread to sop up the sauce! My husband had the Tex bowel with chicken. It had very fresh ingredients! Our bartender was friendly. We will definitely be back.

This place is soooo cute. I didn't realize how busy it was, so we asked for a table and that wasn't really possible. Thankfully, the bar was spacious and had room for three. My beer was so cold and the chicken sandwich was great! I hung out for a while but would definately come back to try some other menu items!

As you arrive after parking, you are able to pick up your tickets through the ticket booth. It had indicated me through the emails that the tickets would have been delivered in the mail and I would have to have them prepared, but they never arrived or delivered. You are able to pick them up at the booth. As you embark on the North Pole Express experience, your actor on your carriage/wagon will begin to story-tell, and they also sing a few Christmas songs throughout the experience. They pass a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie to each passenger. I'd personally say that this experience was more directed towards kids. This was my first experience with something like this, but if I were to ever return, it would mainly be to bring a child, since it's geared towards children. I've heard there are other North Pole Express train experiences in other cities that are more adult oriented. Although this was the case, it was still an enjoyable experience. Both Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus appeared outside and soon made their way to the carriages. The actress was incredibly interactive and kind with everyone on board.

This…read moreis one of those old-time coal fired trains, that takes you on a slow methodical journey through the woods. You won't see much, if anything, but again this more about the experience of an old-time vintage train. If you've ever seen Indian Jones and the Crystal Skull apparently the train scene in the beginning of the movie is this exact train, so I guess you could ask for an autograph if you take the ride :) If you select a first-class ticket, you get your own swivel seat, so you can always face the direction you're going, and you are able to order alcoholic beverages. If you're in regular class, you get a bench seat and may have to share it with someone. Does that make first class worth the extra money? I'll leave that for you to decide but I liked having my own seat. The cruise has some nice views and is a very tranquil ride. Overall, it was a fun day.
