He is an excellent vet who never rushes through visits and always takes the time to discuss everything related to your visit and your pet in general. As the other reviewer stated, when dealing with major illnesses like cancer, he explains all the options (including the ones at other vet referrals) and their positives and negatives for your animal as well as you. When my dog had nasal cancer he was able and willing to try several different options to prolong her quality of life. As for giving a hard time about the dogs behavior, I just plain old don't believe it. All my dogs are herding dogs out of various rescue situations, and even with my border collie who was both dog and occasionally people aggressive, he just was even more patient with her, and talked to me until she was comfortable with him. Dr. North is also a great vet, but will tell you like it is. If your animal is fat, he is going to advocate for that animals health. As any good vet would. The front office staff and vet techs are all great and have gone out their way to make going to the vet a more pleasant experience for my animals. I literally could not recommend them more.

We were transferred from a North Jersey animal hospital to Red Bank Veterinary Hospital because we were told they were the best of the best -- and my goodness, that could not have been more true. From the emergency team to the greeters at the front desk, every single person treated us with urgency, compassion, and professionalism. They took Paisley in immediately, and the neurology team had her scheduled for an MRI first thing the next morning. I truly cannot say enough about Dr. Sheen. Her compassion, knowledge, and incredible people (and animal!) skills were beyond reassuring during such a traumatic time. She even went the extra mile to check on Paisley's results on her day off. That level of care meant everything to us. After some much-needed good news, we later worked with Dr. Haggerty for five tooth extractions and a root canal. We knew that we wanted to have her cremated as we had done we other pets that had passed through the years. We had dealt with another crematory in the past through our vet(s) and were nt happy with the recent reviews that they'd been getting. After some research we came upon your crematory and were happy with what we were reading about other people's experiences. We called that morning and spoke to Marisol who was very sympathetic, informative, and respectful. She gave us an appointment right away. We drove to them in Secaucus from Brooklyn and when we arrived Marisol met us at the door. She and Mariah were very polite, understanding, and accommodating. They took our Oreo and placed her on a bed surrounded by flowers and gave us some time alone to say our goodbyes. Marisol then waked us through the cremation process and showed us where it would be done and guaranteed us that it would only be Oreo's ashes that we would be receiving. We were given the opportunity to be present for Oreo's cremation. Ultimately Oreo's ashes were returned to us in less than 2 hours and were were able to bring her back home with us same day. They made this sad morning easier to get through. Along with Oreo's ashes we received a beautiful wooden box to keep her in with an engraved brass pate attached, a certificate allowing us to travel with her ashes, a wooden beaded bracelet, her paw print in clay with 2 gems attached, a stand for her paw print, a rose that lights up, and a notebook with the Rainbow Bridge poem on the cover. We were overwhelmed by all that we were given and the wonderful service that we were provided by Marisol and Mariah. We highly recommend Pet Rest in Peace to any loving pet owner.
