I ordered a pastrami sandwich. It was cold. The waitress refused to warm it up, claiming that if she did--it would cause problems. The sandwich hardly had any meat--real small portion. I told the waitress and so she took it away and weighed it. Then she brought it back, with most of the meat missing. She gave me the bill and removed the remainder of my sandwich off the table!! My cousin and I wanted some matzo ball soup so we went over to Noah's Ark for a fine Sunday Lunch. We were seated immediately; the restaurant is bigger than it looks from the outside. The menu was also surprisingly expansive. However my cousin is a pescetarian and we found there weren't too many options for him. He opted for a tuna salad sandwich and I got the 1/3 pound pastrami. We both got matzo ball soup. My food was admittedly decent. We were served pickles and coleslaw along with our sandwiches. The pastrami was juicy and flavorful. The bread could've been better as it was kind of soggy. For $15 I was just a little unsatisfied with my sandwich. My cousin said his tuna salad sandwich was just okay and certainly not worth the $11 it cost. The matzo ball soup was pretty standard but I felt it was on the smaller side, especially for $6. The service was okay and the restaurant was passably clean. There were several flies hovering around our table so that was pretty annoying. If you couldn't tell from my prior statements I feel like this restaurant is pretty overpriced. I don't think I'd come back. read more

The service was horrendous. They were slow to come to the table and when they did, the waiter decided not to write down any of our orders which ultimately resulted in many mistakes in our dishes. I walk in and I see the owner screaming at one of the employees and the employee looked scared to death. He fired him while I was there behind the counter. I ordered a take-out pastrami burger. When I got home, the bottom bun was completely soggy. I was not able to hold the burger as one would a sandwich. The tomatoes totally saturated the bun. When I called Noah's Ark the woman told me that she will inform management of the problem and thanked me for bringing it to her attention. For $26+ burger, you expect a complete ,and edible burger. She then hung up the phone on me. Extremely rude. I won't be recommending Noah's Ark in the future. I was little shocked to see this places overall score. Owner greeted us when we entered, waiter sat us down right away, they had impressive menu for a kosher deli. We got pickles and coleslaw while waited for are sandwiches, they were homemade and quite tasty. We tried the matzos-balls soup it was good and I had a Turkey sandwich which was on point. I used to go to Noah's Ark the first few years it was opened. Then their prices became outrageous, especially for mediocre food. Tonight there was a special offer of 40% off for an order of $50. or more, so I thought it was worth trying again. No it wasn't! We ordered 4 sandwiches which would have come to over $70. without the discount - and two of those sandwiches were with salami, one of the cheapest choices. My son and I ordered a corned beef and a pastrami, going halfies with each other. As a girl from the Bronx, with "hole in the wall" kosher delis all over, I have a very good idea of how these meats are supposed to taste. These were awful. Not only tasteless, but dry and the pastrami mushy. I'm only sorry I don't have a dog - at least someone would eat the corned beef instead of it going in the garbage. I feel bad writing a review like this. but this was literally the worst place I've ever been in my life. my lunch for two cost $90 after a tip. my chicken fingers managed to be both the worst and most expensive chicken fingers I've ever had at $30. this place was asking $13 dollars for a side of fries. the room was dirty and impossibly drab. genuinely I don't think they could have made the dining area less attractive if they tried. there was NOBODY else in there and I should have taken that as my first hint to leave. it is SUSPICIOUS to me that this establishment is still open it seems like they desperately don't want to be. Took awhile to be seated. Only one waitress working and there was one lady that took her time with explaining what she wanted. Meanwhile I waited to be seated. I took that opportunity to check out the dessert case which had an assortment of tasty looking treats. After being seated a bowl of assorted pickles (which were all delicious & juicy) and a bowl of coleslaw was placed at the table while I browsed over the menu. Also a pitcher of ice water was also placed at the table. I order the pastrami on garlic bread and that was a bad choice on my end. I didn't care for the taste of garlic & pastrami. I won't order that kind of bread again with that type of meat. Atmosphere looks out dated and needs some sprucing up. It was about a 7-minute wait before our party of six (2 adults; 4 kids under 7) was seated. I felt a little sad that the party that was seated after us had received their complimentary Cole slaw and pickles. As soon as those were on the table (about a ten minute wait after we were seated), it was smooth sailing. Crayons and activity placemats kept the kids busy whilst we waited for our food. Our food was exceptional. The onion rings were especially good. The service was prompt, attentive, and our server clearly knew that extra napkins and water carafes are crucial to keeping a table full of kids happy. We came on a very busy Sunday night. Shelly did an amazing job putting together a party for 50 people on only four hours of notice. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the room was really comfortable. My family and I frequent noahs ark for special events, afternoon lunches, and spur of the moment dinners. The service is usually prompt and the staff are attentive. Their coleslaw and pickles that they give at the start of every meal are fantastic. I love their coleslaw, always have. They have great deli selections--including hard salamis-- which can be hard to come by. Their sandwiches are stacked and they have something on the menu for everyone. Favorite meal: Dr Browns root-beer or cherry soda, Turkey on rye with mayo and the house mustard which they keep on the table. And if they have them, their inferno chicken poppers with the spicy dipping sauce. Finish the meal off with some coffee and their amazing Parve rugelech(sp?) My visiting Jew friend had a hankering for some Jewish deli food so I found this place, right here on Yelp. They give you a bowl of amazing slaw and like 6 pickles before you even order. We all shared the chopped liver appetizer (comes with crackers) and it was delicious. Since I am such a huge fan of paté I knew I'd love it. I had a corned beef sandwich, it was tender and delicious but desperately needed some coleslaw and mustard. But the beef and bread were right on point. I went to check this place out after I was told that it had the best Turkey meat for sandwiches. I ended up trying it out and will agree it some of the best sliced turkey meat I have had. I also tried their roast beef, and their corned beef which they claim is the best in the USA. I will admit it was good, don't know if it is the best. I even bought one of their frozen to go meals, a Cajun Chicken meal, which turned out to be quite appetizing. This is one of my wife's favorite restaurants. She loves deli, and homestyle Jewish cooking. She will always be up for a visit to Noah's Ark. The deli is amazing. I just got this insane hamburger called "Brunch All Day." You'll have to go there to find out what it is. It was heavenly. Nobody bothered to take my order or answer my questions, even though I approached a gentleman in yarmulke and said hi. He just ignored me and walked away. Asked my wife if she felt like eating deli after work. We went to noahs ark. I've eaten there before and it never blew me away, but last night it sent me away for good. Had a tongue sandwich which was $14.95 and tasted like cheap meat. Wife had a burger and oily fries. Not a great presentation. With only 1 soda the bill was over $32!!! Cole Slaw was nothing special.
