I found this place by accident. They have a large take-out area which includes some general groceries in addition to a sit-down restaurant. The two men running the take-out area weee friendly and welcoming. I had trouble deciding what to get, so will be returning when I am in the area! They package a complete Shabbat dinner with many choices and have a wide variety of complete Passover Seder meals available. Definitely on my list as an option for food in Bergen county! read more

Wonderful full cases of various classics and mouth watering sides as well. On my first visit I had to try a pastrami on rye with the promise of a quick return to try the fried chicken which looked great, diet be damned. The sandwich pictured is the overstuffed version for $19 but a regular size is just $14. Staff were friendly and very pleasant. I'll be back soon, as it is walking distance for me, but not far enough to work off the calories I'm adding. Freezer full of soups and broths and more. read more

Great overstuffed sandwich! I had a pastrami with Russian and coleslaw, a couple of pickles from the pickle bar, and a Dr Brown's Cream Soda. My partner had a frank with coleslaw and a square kanish. So nice to have a really solid deli in the neighborhood with all the trimmings and good quality food. I grabbed a corned beef and it was moist, tasty and a very solid portion. Not the best I have ever had but for a local spot it was excellent and a solid offering. Service was nice and plenty of staff to make it a nice dining experience. Tons of offerings from turkey, soups and other meats for takeout or instore dining. Grabbed a small portion of hard salami to go and it was also very solid. I'll start off with the service because it was actually outstanding. Our waiter was very attentive and came to check on us quite often. My favorite is the pickle bar. I love the selection of pickles as well as the coleslaw and potato salad. My husband had the potato knish and the potato pancake. He enjoyed both of them. We both had the matzo ball soup and it was missing some sort of flavoring. The matzo ball was good and it was firm and it was big. I had the turkey on rye with Russian dressing and my husband had the hot pastrami on rye. Both were very good. There was a nice selection of food in the deli and we definitely enjoyed our dinner. Ordered online. Re River two small pieces of rye with pastrami and corned beef and it was tiny and they gave a small container or mustard only.. I'm used to the glen rock location which gives you a large full sandwich stuffed with meat. This was like a welfare version. I took a bite, something was not right so I tossed it out. Door dash would not credit me as I could not prove it was a health issue. Either way, never again. Saw their ads and thought we'd try it. The waitress was the only good thing about this place. We ordered the overstuffed pastrami sandwich. It was dry and flavorless. Like it was boiled to death. We wanted onion rings but they were out and since the day before. Poor ordering on the manager's part. Who runs out of onion rings? Just go buy them at the supermarket. The potato salad and coleslaw were commercially made and tasted like it. This IS NOT a traditional deli. This is a great new addition to Cresskill . I ordered a Pastrami Sandwich on rye bread with a square knish , Dr. Brown black cherry soda ! The pickle bar is a plus if you dine in . Edwin and Sean are the best. High marks across the board with 1 request I am a little bit of a coleslaw connoisseur and it's probably the highest density / way to much mayo someone is making a mistake. Maybe cut back by 33% on the mayo in the coleslaw. But pretty much can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Make sure to order the pastrami lean and it will be very good. read more

We were so looking forward to this restaurant opening. We had pastrami sandwiches there last night and ordered coleslaw to go. The sandwiches weren't anything like the photos. They were maybe 1/3 the size of what they advertised. I remember when coleslaw used to come with a sandwich, but their coleslaw is $10 a pound. There are better places to eat at. Was disappointed in the amount of turkey in my sandwich. The pictures show a sandwich that is loaded with meat, not so in person. For $25 a sandwich you expect a more than average amount of turkey. Nonetheless, turkey itself was good. It's not Katz's but better than the average deli. read more

Excited to try a new jewish deli. Table service has not started yet at this brand new spot. We ordered food at the counter,sat down in the nice dining room and the food was brought to us. The food was extraordinary as we expected from our many times haven eaten at the Glen Rock location. We both had half sandwiches with a bowl of soup. Pastrami for me with split pea soup. Wife had the brisket with mushroom barley soup. Each sandwich had generous meat portions. Both so delicious moist tender and flavorful. It came with great pickles and c.s.
