I agreee with a previous poster who said that Noah's have gone way down hill and this location is right at the bottom! I use to love Noah's but I have now given up on this location. 3 times in the last week I have been there, unloaded my kids from their carseats to find they were out of every bagel we wanted - yes, 3 times this happened at various times of the day, once was at 9am. Blueberry bagels- none, Cinnamon Raisin - none, Plain- none, Asiago Cheese - none! We walked out of that store empty handed. It is a bagel store isn't it???? Now, you could put it down to a bad week but this is a regular occurrence, more often than not, I walk out with either not what I wanted or nothing at all. Seriously, if those bagels are your popular ones, it would make sense to make twice as many and not do as many of the slow sellers but some rocket scientist there hasn't worked that out yet. So, a big thumbs down for this location. If you want a bagel, go somewhere else as this location probably won't have one to sell you anyway. read more

Wow Noah's has been such a great place in the past. Quick fast and an overall 5 star experience. Now something has gone very wrong. I walked in 6 people in line it took 25 minutes to get my order incorrect. So I say oh well just not my day so a couple of day ago I walk in 3 people in line and a 15 minute wait so of us have thing to do like be to work on time! So Noah's things work so much better with the past manager on the job also you should have more staff working. This morning I change my routine and went to a new place. I hope you can become again place with good food and customer service and not remain a place with good food and poor customer service. read more

Ordered a bagel with jelly (I'm Vegan). The bagel sat on the counter for 6 minutes while the girl made a big to go order. The other prep girl who had toasted my bagel disappeared to the back. I was about to ask the girl if she could just hand be my bagel but then a customer who had been waiting returned her cream cheese bagel because they had made it wrong. Rather than slap some jelly my bagel and hand it to me, they made me wait until they had redone the bagel that they had done wrong! I have come to this place on and off for over 12 years and the quality of service has disintegrated. They need a qualified manager or an owner to oversee these things. Tried their pizza bagel and it was disgusting. It smelled foul but I assumed it was just wasn't familiar with the particular cheese they use (asiago maybe?) but I just couldn't bring myself to eat it it after a bite or 2. the other bagels might be good but now that's all I can think about whenever I pass by so I don't stop. read more

Noah's has deteriorated greatly from the great bagel shop that it used to be. -The "service" was impersonal with no patience for me to decide. -They were out of most bagels and one of the few left, a supposed garlic bagel, was bland with very little taste. Definitely not the taste of a good bagel.Think heavy Wonderbread. -I asked for it to be buttered. That did not happen. I had to ask for butter, which was served in a "glob". (Putting butter on a cooling bagel is not the same as putting it on while hot.) -The coffee was okay, but at the cream,etc. counter which was filthy, there was no cream. There was an almost empty soy milk (or something) a 2%, and a non-fat, but no 1/2 and 1/2. When I asked for cream, nothing happened. I asked another server. Still nothing. Finally a third person brought over a carton of 1/2n1/2. -The tables were a bit grimy and full of crumbs and spilled coffee from a previous customer. If they had been super busy, while not an excuse, it would be understandable. But it was not busy at all. In the whole time I took to eat my bagel and drink my coffee, six people showed up. I've noticed a gradual deterioration over the last few years, but this is a new low. read more

The Nova Lox sandwich is great. The staff here is always friendly and prompt. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone.

There is a very angry woman working behind the counter today. I ordered an egg sandwich on plain bagel. I was the only one in the store. After 15 minutes I went to check on my order and she said she had been calling me as they were out of plain bagels. I was not on the phone and did not hear her call. So I picked another bagel and after a long wait - she supposedly called me- really?????? I finally found me bagel in a bag on the counter. Last time I will come here. No one cares about the customer. Order taker was totally disinterested in taking and filling my order. The cashier was clueless, had no interest in handing me my receipt. When I asked him for it, he ruffled through a bunch of other receipts on the counter until he found mine. If there is a manager at this store, he/she has no apparent skill in training or supervising staff. . THE NOVATO STORE is the EXACT OPPOSITE. I have been going to this Noah's for over 7 years to purchase our weekly Challah. You place your order over the phone Thursday for a Challah for Friday. They do not make enough to just pick one up without ordering. You have to order. For the first 6 years I always dealt with Susan who was wonderful! She recognized my voice on the phone and quickly took my order. Now on my 7th year, there is a new, very rude manager. Now they NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE!!! How can I place an order if no one answers the phone. His excuse is "we busy". I always call when it's NOT lunch time. I try dozens and dozens of times throughout the day. Am I supposed to come in to place an order for a Challah because you can't take 10 seconds to take an order?? Why was this not a problem for 6 years and now that there is a new manager no one can answer the phone?? Why not join modern civilization and let customers place online orders if you are too busy to answer the phone?? How about hiring more workers??? "We busy" as an excuse to not answer the phone for over a month is lame. If you want to make dozens upon dozens of calls to place a simple order than this place is for you! read more

Coffee cold?!?!?!? Air conditioning on...55 degrees outside...poorly managed...or NOT managed at all

Staff was friendly but the ham and cheese melt came on a not toasted bagel...would have been preferable to our taste to have had the bagel toasted first and then the ham and swiss added and back to the oven. We also ordered potato salad sides which were not in our bag when we got home. Taking more time and getting it right is worth it! read more

Having visited several Noah's bagel shops in the Bay Area, I think this store is one of the best. The food is pretty much the same everywhere, but THIS store has the best staff...high energy, efficient, friendly and polite. I can't vouch for during the week, but on weekends, it's the best! read more

IF u can find the place open .. the begels are really good the coffee we love too but man this place DOES NOT open at 5am we constantly drive thru here at 5:05am 5:10 and there ALWAYS closed they got coffee they got begels but they just wont open im sick and tired of it i got a few minutes to grab and go and when they finally open i gotta wait for all the registers to get logged in .....we spoke to the manager and she said this was gonna stop and it hasnt ...so will be grabbing our coffee and pastries somewhere else from now on so please dont waste your time driving thru here maybe by 6am they might be open but NOT at 5am read more

I believe it was Ben and Lynette who assisted me hands on and I was so grateful for them accommodating me. They even helped me out to my car! Wow - thanks for listening Noah's. I stopped by to pick up a few bagels...period. Instead of putting me through the painful process I spelled out in my earlier review, a cheerful person quickly bagged up my bagels and I paid at the first register. Brilliant! So much simpler and very logical. I was literally in and out of the place in a few minutes. I don't know if my older review had you look at the process and fix it - but even if not I'm pleased that it is now easy to just buy a few bagels. I'll be back and if you keep it up I just might become a regular. read more

I know there are 100 different bagel spots to choose from in Marin county and the Bay Area and you cant expect much walking into a Noah's to begin with... but I have been coming to this location in particular for almost a decade and cannot be more disappointed with the new management.. Bon air was recently completely renovated and looks beautiful, but the customer service here does not coincide with the image. The manager is incredibly rude and acted as if I was making her life more difficult by ordering a bagel.. HER JOB. I dismissed it yesterday, feeling her pain.. everyone has a bad day! So I came back today hoping for something different, she was worse! Almost angry to see me. Took my order, slammed the register shut, practically threw my change at me! What can I say, my kids love the plain bagels but there is almost always some kind of problem getting the order right. They are either out of plain bagels (seems strange for a bagel shop) or they say they have them and when I get home they aren't all plain in the bag --very disappointing. I am frustrated because I live five minutes from the place and would love to buy a dozen plain bagels every week. It just never seems to work out. This Noah's Bagels used to be run so smoothly. The staff was extra kind and competent. Now, I can walk in and see three staff members behind the counter. They continuously ignore me and others and will look busy but will purposely have us wait. Next, the order will be incorrectly bagged and then they'll no doubt be out of a regular item and show no willingness to try harder. What happened to this great store? Not going there anymore unless they ask their staff to be nice and at least act like you're trying to help. Perhaps a tip jar would motivate a little. Please try even a little harder. read more

You could be the easiest customer in the world and the people there would still act like you're inconveniencing them just by ordering a friggin bagel. The bagels, etc. are fine. Same as every other Noah's. Unless they burn them (which they did for me on this last occasion). The reason this particular Noah's gets such a lower rating than other Noah's is because the service/staff are so bad. They just don't care. Went recently and had a bad experience and complained online. They sent me a coupon for a free bagel and shmear. I wasn't exited to go back, but did just to get my free bagel. The girl at the counter where you order was very nice and competent. The guy at the register was useless. I ordered pumpkin bagel and pumpkin schmear and small coffee. Gave him the coupon for free bagel. He looked confused, then subtracted the cost of the coffee from the ticket. Huh? I asked him about it and he tried again. Same result. Tried again after re-reading the coupon. Again he insisted I pay the bagel + shmear price and not the coffee price. Finally the first helpful girl came over and straightened it out. Then my bagel came and it had plain schmear instead of pumpkin. Now I'm getting annoyed. Double checked my receipt and the receipt was correct. Went back and got the bagel re-made with the correct schmear. This time they over toasted the bagel to the point of being burned. I considered getting it fixed again, but I was worn out. They beat me. I just left and won't be back to this location ever again. read more

Rudest encounter in a long time. I went in to get a dozen bagels for my child's classroom party. Drew, who was running the register, was put off when I asked for them to be cut and then ignored me. A guy from the back came out and cut them but nobody would say anything or even look at me when I said I wanted to order some additional items to feed my family. Drew said that he couldn't believe I asked to have my bagels cut when they were so busy (not so busy in my estimation) and wasn't every other customer getting their bagels cut? I asked if I could order several times and was rebuffed. I kept saying, "I just want to order some other bagels for my kids" No, I was told. You have to go to the back of the line. Lots of people waiting. You are wasting our time, etc. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Rude doesn't even cover it. Finally, I said just give me my bagels and I'll pay and leave. It took forever and was a standoff once they were done. I said just ring them up and let me pay. He wanted to fight. We left hungry and angry. I will never go back. Have sent a similar complaint to their corporate customer service. Given the number of bad reviews on here, I'm not holding my breath for a satisfying response.
