Absolutely wonderful first experience here this week!…read more They were able to fit my baby hippo/canine Lola in last minute and took SUCH great care of her as she was in excruciating stomach pain. We really appreciated the above-and-beyond kindness of all of the staff and particularly Alyssa and Dr. Emmett who helped us so much in diagnosing & treating Lola's digestive issues. Very very highly recommend this practice!

They misdiagnosed my cat with feline leukemia, and acted like I was lying when I told them he was never around other cats and was strictly indoors. When my new vet asked them for his records, they denied having any records for him in their system. I believe this is because I told them exactly what I thought of their business before leaving for good. My new vet retested my cat, and he was negative. She also explained exactly what causes a false positive. It was an error made at McGee Street. This is only one of several problems I had there. If you are I able to, I recommend playing nice with this place until you've paid and you have your pet back. Ask the receptionist for their records before letting them know you are taking your business elsewhere. That way you have a copy in case they "disappear from the system." That's exactly what I did, and I am very grateful for it. Oh, and everyone else here is right. They overcharge for their services and rarely include everything in their itemized quotes.

The check-in process is consistently quick and efficient (which, if you've ever wrangled an anxious pup, luckily mine is all of 13 pounds, in a waiting room, you know is a gift). We are normally taken promptly back by Emanuel, who sets the tone with professionalism and kindness. Dr. Fritzler is thorough, patient, and never makes me feel rushed. He answers every question I have, even when I ask the same one multiple times in slightly different ways (purely for research purposes, of course, not because I'm not understanding). As someone who's mindful of costs, I really appreciate that recommendations are practical and tailored to my budget without compromising care. Having visited several veterinary offices over the years, this one stands out as especially welcoming, efficient, and genuinely dedicated to the well being of the animals they treat. My pup maybe anxious going to the vet, but Dr. Fritzler has won her over.

Dropped our dogs off for boarding and on Day 6 they call to tell both of our dogs are infested with fleas. Not only that they suggested we have our home fumigated due to the excessive amount of fleas. We DO NOT have fleas now nor have we ever. We also use another vet who just saw the dogs 2 weeks ago...did an exam and rabies. No fleas/flea dirt was seen then. There are no fleas in our car from transporting nor any fleas on us. Both dogs are now coughing their heads off so we are heading to the emergency vet to see if they have kennel cough or physical damage to their throat.

They insisted on a $1000 down and treated for parvo after 48 hrs finally did the x-ray to find internal bleeding (from rat poisoning). She died as one would expect. This beautiful pup might have been saved if the would have listened at the beginning to treat for poison first. After finally pumping her stomach they found the green slime (rat poison). Just maybe she might have survived if they would have done this first instead of being so tunnel vision on Parvo... Not only had this pup had her vaccines for Parvo, we have three other dogs at home. Have raised endless litters of puppies and never once had any Parvo over 25 years on this property. I would say they are incompetent at best. They took no responsibility for their fuck up and expected money $$$$. Don't put your trust in them to listen or have your best interest at heart. A pet is dead due to malpractice.

We're from San Diego and were visiting family here in Oklahoma when we had to go to Banfield Pet…read moreHospital in Norman on February 5th 2026-Address: 660 Ed Noble Pkwy Norman, OK 73072 United States to get Xanax (alprazolam) for my dog Stori's flight home because of how severe her anxiety was on the way there. Our primary vet told me to see a local vet and specifically ask for this medication due to not being able to help across state lines. I brought all of Stori's records and explained the situation thoroughly at the appointment. We saw Dr. Elizabeth K Steiger. She seemed understanding, but still pushed trazodone and gabapentin, which is what we used on the flight there and it did nothing. I explained again why my vet told me to ask for Xanax (alprazolam) and how severe the situation was, and that this was the best option to get Stori home safely. She then said, "Oh okay, great, let me go make sure we have that in stock for you." She came back out with a bottle and said, "Here is your Xanax (alprazolam)." Without double-checking the bottle, I was so relieved that I said thank you, paid for the visit and the medication, and left. When I got to the car with Stori, I looked at the bottle and realized it was Prozac (Reconcile). Prozac (Reconcile) is a daily anxiety medication that can take weeks of daily use to see results and is not used for severe panic. This was not the medication we discussed or what I was told I was being given. I went back inside and told the receptionist there was something wrong with my prescription and that I was told this was Xanax (alprazolam) but I was given Prozac (Reconcile) instead. His demeanor completely changed. He looked at the bottle, pushed it back toward me, and said, "This is dog anxiety medication." I told him, "I understand that, but this is a daily medication that takes weeks to take effect and is not used for panic. This is not what the doctor told me she was giving me, and I need this fixed." He rudely said he would go get the vet. When he came back with her, she said, "This is dog Xanax (alprazolam)." I told her, "No, this is Prozac (Reconcile) It is not used for severe panic, it takes weeks to kick in, and it is not the medication we discussed or what I was told I was getting." She continued trying to insist that this medication was Xanax (alprazolam). She finally admitted, "Well, Xanax (alprazolam) requires a written prescription to a pharmacy." So they lied to me--gave me a completely different medication and tried to pass it off as Xanax (alprazolam) to get me out of the clinic instead of being honest. I told her, kindly but firmly, to please write the prescription. She kept trying to make excuses not to. I brought up my primary vet and all the records I had brought explaining Stori's medical history and this situation, and asked if my primary vet needed to contact them directly. She got very defensive and immediately said, "No, no, I'll write it," and then wrote the prescription. I was able to get the medication my dog needed, but I would not recommend this vet. If I could leave zero stars I would.
