This was my first time at Rise Up Pizza, and it completely exceeded my expectations. I tried a…read morecouple of their individual slices, the seasonal meat pizza with corn, poblano, country ham, and blueberry relish, plus a classic pepperoni slice, and their breadstick. Every single bite was incredible. I love that they use a sourdough dough. The crust was so flavorful and perfectly chewy with an amazing crispy bottom. The breadstick was absolutely to die for, especially with the garlic butter. This is hands down the best Detroit style pizza I've had. You can tell how much creativity and care goes into everything they make. The owner is incredibly talented, and this place deserves so much more recognition. They also have a cozy indoor and outdoor seating area and a few free parking spots on the side, which makes visiting even easier. If you love pizza, you need to give Rise Up Pizza a try!

They didn't have a big variety on their menu but they only had 1 person working. I went with the pepperoni slice with a breadstick. I was surprised how cheap it was. My total only came out to be $6.00. The food was goo. The crust was thick and there were a lot of pepperonis on it. It was disappointed in the lack of cheese on the pizza. It was practically nonexistent. There was some sprinkled parmesan and that's about it. Luckily there were a lot of seasonings on the pizza so it wasn't a deal breaker. Overall my friend and I enjoyed the food and will be happy to try Rise Up again

Started with an old-fashioned and an unsweet tea. Drink was good overall. We shared a Caesar salad to start. Half of the lettuce pieces were brown. Lettuce was yellowed more than green. Meh. I ordered the rigatoni with spicy marinara, meatball and sausage. The portion was insanely large - two sausages and two meatball, plus a platter of pasta. This was good - but again too much. Meatballs were good, sausage was good. For dessert I ordered the chocolate mousse which was okay. Located in an old bank building the place was nice with live music - though the guy walking around playing the sax was a little much.

It was everything you would expect a nice dining experience. The menu was extensive with lots of modern takes on Italian favorites. There is a good wine list with sufficient number of options for any wine taste and also a specialty cocktail list. We started out with fried calamari and a specialty caprese salad with heirloom tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, and a variety of meats and olives. They were all delicious and fresh. For dinner I had the Fagottini Sinatra which was to die for. The combination of the pasta, cheeses, apple bites, and cream sauce enhanced all the flavors and produced a combination which I would HIGHLY recommend. Note that the prices are $30-$50 a meal but you get what you would expect from a nice restaurant. I will definitely be back on a future visit to Lexington.
