This location in the Optimist food hall we pretty good and the main reason I went to the Optimist Hall. The reviews of the Pessimist Food Hall weren't that great, so I made the right choice coming here. I am always on a quest for melt-in-your-mouth, moist, flavorful beef brisket and this hit all the marks. It pulled apart like an accordion (the first sign of deliciousness), had a beautiful pink smoke ring, and not too much or too little fat. Yaas! 5 Stars on the brisket, but you do pay a premium for it. They don't have any type of combo platter or anything, and you just order everything a la carte. That's why it adds up. It's probably the first BBQ place I've been to which does that. I added a Pork Taco ($4), Banana Pudding ($5), Mac N Cheese ($5) to my $12 Brisket (1/4 lb) and that adds up, especially with a fountain soda pop (which had free refills so that was good). $30 Lunch? Everything was good but you do need to be a Noble Aristocrat type to make many return visits. It's aptly named due to the price!

We shared a brisket sandwich with fries, and some sliced turkey and coleslaw. We also tried the macaroni and cheese which was the best I've ever had. Everything was delicious.

Came in for a late dinner to unfortunately find they were out of brisket, wings, and mac & cheese. I ended up ordering the pulled chicken and a side of fries. Everything here is à la carte and they don't provide the usual BBQ extras like pickles or bread. My food was ready in about three minutes, which was impressively fast. The pulled chicken was flavorful and enjoyable, but the fries were underwhelming. They were lukewarm, like they had been sitting out for a while. Would come back earlier next time to try their brisket!

Noble Smoke located in the Optimist food court Charlotte NC. Food: The smoke turkey is the star, juicy and tender with a light hint of smoke. The brisket was tender and what you expect your brisket to taste like however in this instant the fat cap was extra thick. The pulled Chicken was dry... I tried to eat it with the sides nevertheless just couldn't finish it. Service: The people behind the counter were so friendly and patient, they took the time to answer our questions also let us do a couple substitutions. Ambiance: Noble Smoke is in a huge food court with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, serving all different kinds of food.

I was looking forward to a nice brisket lunch. When I placed my order for brisket I was truly disappointed to find one slice of meat in a covered container. $12.00 for this one slice! The taste was good with their sauce but it was a bit fatty. It's unfortunate. They should set the expectation when ordering. Never again.

What to choose ..what to choose...optimist hall has a lot of interesting venders to pick from. This time I went with the classic noble smoke. I've never had this location, we frequent the one off of freedom drive. I appreciate that this smaller installment offers 1/2 pounds of ribs which the other location doesn't. They were amazing as always and a nice treat, I probably wouldn't do this often because it is 14 dollars for just 3 ribs. But nonetheless the ribs were fall off the bone and Smokey delicious. The Brussel sprouts were lacking seasoning and weren't as crispy as I hoped for, but were still good. Fries were good and well seasoned as always.

You could easily slap somebody over this food I God the pulled chicken sandwich, Mac and Cheese, and Brussels. The Mac picture looks underwhelming, but it is packed with flavor. Several sauce a to choose from to elevate your meal. Would definitely go again!

Noble Smoke in Optimist Hall was great. Fast and courteous service. Self-serve drink station. Excellent smoky pork on a soft bun. Creamy, sweet white slaw. Thanksgiving-level macaroni and cheese. Super sweet tea. Great vibes in the Adirondack chairs outside on the turf. All-around excellent experience.

visited the noble smoke in optimist hall today, service was quick & the cashier was very helpful with suggestions on what to order. our food came out in under five minutes and we sat at the counter where the food is also served. it was nice that they had counter space specifically for their patrons, because it can be hard to find a table in optimist on a busy day. what we ordered: brisket sandwiches- delicious flavorful, tender brisket on a soft bun. complimented by their signature bbq sauces. really good! collards- a tad bit sweet, but good if that's what you're into mac & cheese- not my favorite mac & cheese, this was just ok. not solid enough for a baked mac to me. banana pudding- 10/10 sooooooo good! if you get anything from this review, get the banana pudding!

Really good sides and sauces. Could use a little more seasoning but beyond that overall a true 4 out of 5

We came in at a time when it wasn't really busy, but it took forever for our server to come around. Ordered two glasses of red and the cheese plate only to be told after we received the wine that there was no charcuterie -- at all. Not a "need to substitute" or "we're missing one of the items" just completely 86ed. Despite being prominently featured at the top of the menu! Since we already had our wine, we had to order something else. I went with the cheese sticks, and my mom ordered a hamburger based on what the table next to us had. When she got her burger though, despite us ordering the same as the table next to us, it was a completely different burger. She ate it anyway and my cheese sticks were okay for pub food. But overall, a really disappointing experience based on what we expected. And we had to hunt down the server to pay so we could get back to the conference on time.

Service was friendly, although I would say our server didn't know anything about the beers but in her defense, they had a large variety of beers on tap. They are quick to mention that the food comes out when it's ready, so the food we got for the six people in my party came out over a period of about 15 minutes. Since that was disclosed up front, I didn't think it's an issue but if you're someone who wants to wait until everyone is served before digging in, you may have to eat cold food. I had mac and cheese and it was pretty good. Overall, this is an acceptable place to eat.

The first time was in November 2025 and 2nd time March 2026 where the bartenders were professional, welcoming, knowledgeable, and made some of the best Bloody Marys we've had in Charlotte. The food was excellent, and we left both times excited to come back. Unfortunately, this Sunday's visit (around 2 p.m.) felt like a different restaurant. It was much busier, and service was noticeably lacking. We waited quite a while just to be acknowledged, our drinks weren't nearly the quality they had been before, and the Bloody Mary tasted like it came straight from a mix instead of being handcrafted like our previous visits. The food was also disappointing. It was much saltier than we remembered, and we never received the Caesar salad with steak we ordered. To the staff's credit, it wasn't on our bill, so we didn't mention it. Overall, no one was rude, but the attention to detail, professionalism, and overall experience that earned our previous five-star reviews just wasn't there this time. We're hoping this was simply an off day because we genuinely loved this place and would like to see it return to the high standard that made us regular customers.

Big, open and airy. Lots of seating and a few party rooms too. Loved the outdoor seating too. If it had been a little cooler that would have been perfect. They have cornhole and ping pong and just a fun atmosphere out there. Our server was warm and attentive. We did not have to wait for refills and she was quick to answer any questions we had. We started with a few apps - the chips and onion dip and the pigs in a blanket. The chips were well salted and the onion dip was DELISH!!! The pigs were wrapped in homemade party dough and came with a honey mustard crème fraiche. They were so good!! For entrees we tried the fried chicken, prime rib dip, and the meatloaf. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. The mashed potatoes were so good too. The only misstep on this dish was the biscuit. Way too dense and not very flavorful. The prime rib dip was tender and came on the most crispy bread. What a great combo! The only thing that wasn't great were the fries, just nothing too special. The meatloaf dish was flavorful and came with those yummy mashed potatoes so great pairing. We didn't have room for dresser on site but we did take the monkey bread to go and enjoyed it later. Good portion size and full of apple and caramel flavor. Did not regret taking that home!! Really looking forward to this spot opening closer to home. Highly recommended

Finding table space earlier in the evening has not been an issue yet for us. The staff is usually pretty welcoming and will immediately try and get some drinks in your hand. If you're interested in ordering food, they have a very solid menu that balances typical pub with a splash of elegance. The Chicken Sandwich is a perfect evening meal to pair with a night out. It has the typical sandwich ingredients but everything is of decent quality. It is not a heavy meal yet it delivers a perfect amount of satiation to begin a night out. The Fried Pickles prepared with a perfect ratio of pickle to batter and perfect for sharing amongst friends. Easily my favorite thing about the place is the pool tables. There is one inside and one outside on the patio. Shooting pool throughout the night and having the lively atmosphere makes for such a wonderful time. We have seemed to have good luck with getting a table but other times we have had to wait. There's a natural center of gravity which keeps myself and the group returning to the daily. Pool tables, never too crowded, solid outdoor areas, and quality food seldom found at bars. We also loved that there was a pool table it added a lot to the experience but I do wish it was free instead of $2 a game. Still, not a dealbreaker.
