Impeccable meal. I absolutely loved this place. You have a slight view of the kitchen depending on where you sit. I always love to see people making the food so that's a plus for me. The service was just as great as the food. Our server constantly ensured we were enjoying our meal. The calamari and Brussel sprouts were a great start. The calamari had the perfect crunch and flavor. The Brussel sprouts made me wish I could have them as an appetizer weekly. The short rib was so tender and delicious. Truly I endured every single bite and was sad once I finished it all. Please don't pass up on this place if you're in the area.

Came by late Wednesday night after landing in Charlotte. They were one of the few restaurants still open Walked in and luckily they found us seating -shared table with another couple. Scallops: 4 stars. Well prepared. I enjoy the slight char to the surface but moist texture when biting into it. Accompanying sauce was ok. Beef short ribs: 4 stars tender, but feel that it was a bit plain in flavor. Brussels sprouts: 4 stars. Pretty decent. Not the best but not the worst I've had. Overall a good accompaniment for my dishes.

Went here for dinner with reservation but didn't got seated right away. They were apologizing and was able to get us to the table but kinda tight and brought us appetizer on the house. Finally they were able to move us to the patio area per our reservation. Our sever was attentive and friendly. The food were awesome per usual. We had the half dark chicken with bbq sauce (truly recommend it), roasted Brussels, potatoes au gratin, steak (truly recommend this), mac and cheese (it was okay), and the scallops (they were okay). We enjoyed our dinner, the patio table where we seated, and the service). If you are in downtown charlotte this is a must visit restaurant.

We visited rooster's uptown on a Thursday night for a big group dinner. There were 20 of us, and we had a few reservations to make it happen. They seated us all immediately when we arrived. This place has a really interesting menu in that we couldn't really figure out what was appetizer potion and what was entree portion, but I think we made out just fine. We started with a few orders of the burratta. I really liked it for the most part, it had roasted golden beets which I love, but it was topped with "crispy bits" which . . . Basically crumbled nuts, but why not just say that? They really didn't add anything to the dish. I got an order of the ricotta gnocchi with a side of the corn and we all split an order of Brussels sprouts. The gnocchi was perfect, I literally would not change a thing about this dish. The corn was incredibly boring, there was no seasoning on it or anything to make it special. The Brussels sprouts were actually incredible, probably the best thing we had on the table. My colleagues were all super happy with their dishes, except one of them got the pork loin which was overdone. I would definitely recommend this place for a dinner. Their food is so good, and let me tell you our server was so knowledgeable about the menu. Whenever we asked him a question, he had an enthusiastic and detailed answer. If all of the staff are as great as him, then you'll be I. Fantastic hands no matter what.

This place is a hidden gem . I can believe I haven't gone here sooner ! It's a 2 story restaurant that's attached to the Bank of America building. They do validate parking! Rare in uptown lol From beginning to end the service was superior. Our waiter Joe was kind , attentive and friendly. He suggested great meal options and sides . I opted for the trout which was cooked perfectly and my sides were the pan roasted corn and potatoes au gratin. Delicious! Oh I forgot to mention that their menu changes daily! I can't wait to go back

I really hate leaving this review. We arrived in Charlotte today for my son's taekwondo tournament at the convention center. He wanted to eat steak and this place is really nearby. We ordered the burrata salad, rotisserie chicken off the child's menu, potatoe casserole, and flank steak. Everything was super salty. We barely touched the potatoes. I had to push my son to eat more meat. We spent $148 with tip. I only enjoyed the prosecco. Hope this review saves one of our taekwondo families an expensive mistake.

The food was good, the staff are kind and accommodating, and the menu was robust! Our table got a number of apps to share, including a great burrata app with toasted sunflower seed, butter wilted spinach, potatoes au gratin, and Mac and cheese. My personal favorite was the potatoes au gratin - they were so cheesy and delicious that I almost wished I didn't have to share it with everyone else! We all got separate entrées and I loved my short ribs. Our waitress had recommended the short ribs dish, and I was not disappointed - it was savory, and pulled apart so easily with my fork. Bathroom situation is odd in that you have to exit the restaurant and go down a hallway to get to. The booth we sat in was spacious enough, which I appreciated. Overall would come back if I were in Charlotte again.

Just checked into the nearby AC Hotel and went looking for dinner, Rooster's caught my eye, and I'm glad it did. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the bar had a solid red wine selection to kick things off. For dinner, I went with the wood-fired dark meat chicken, and it absolutely lived up to the name. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and paired with a southern vinegar-based BBQ sauce that was so good I nearly licked the bowl clean. On the side, I ordered the shishito peppers, a personal favorite. They were wood-fired as well, tasty overall, though a bit undercooked for my preference. Service was smooth and friendly, and the food quality was excellent. Rooster's is definitely a spot I'd return to on future trips to Charlotte. Highly recommend if you're looking for a wood-fired meal done right.

If you don't get the green fried chicken (it's something like that) and the grits and bacon, then YOU ARE MISSING OUT! They were the tastiest things on the menu. A close third place are the French fries because they're perfectly crispy and battered. We chose to sit out on the "patio" which is actually inside a massive building! There is enough people walking around to be interesting, but it is still secluded. While it wasn't particularly busy, we didn't have to wait long for drinks or food. The waiter was quite chatty and made lots of direct eye contact though my parents were there. If I lived in Charlotte, I would be inclined to order the chicken sandwich with French fries and grits for delivery!

This was probably some of the best food me and my wife had since moving to Charlotte! I've seen the ratings but we still decided to give it a try and I'm glad we did! I had the salmon and she had the short rib. Our shareable side were scalloped potatoes, Mac and cheese, and beets. I had the homemade coconut cake made with chiffon cake and it was so good. We will be back. The service was excellent as well!

First time in Charlotte and we were on the hunt for some great chicken. This place did not disappoint! Our server recommended the wood-fire circle chicken and it was absolutely fire, so flavorful and juicy. We also tried the smoked wings with barbecue spice, and I might have liked these even more. The seasoning was spot on: flavorful without being overpowering. The calamari was a nice surprise. The sauce it comes with is honestly the star of the show. As a side, we went with the mac and cheese, which unfortunately fell flat. It lacked flavor, and the cheese had a bland taste that didn't really work. I also ordered the Heat of the Moment cocktail, 10/10 recommend! It's not spicy, despite the name, but it's super refreshing and packed with flavor. The staff were fantastic; friendly, attentive, and checked in on us regularly. The place started to fill up around 5 p.m. on a Friday, but with two floors of seating, there's plenty of space. Ambiance was relaxed and comfortable, no loud music, just a good vibe for conversation.

A bunch of us came to dinner here last night. It was a place a couple of us have been to before, but the majority have not. Roosters seating is pretty wide open. They offer both inside and outside seating. We sat inside. They've got a real good staff there from hostess to server. Everyone seem to have a pitch in attitude. That's nice. For the most part, we all ordered something differently, but shared a bunch of vegetables. Their menu is à la carte. One of the recommendations was trout. Since I'm a fan of seafood, I thought trout was something interesting and I've never had it before. Others ordered shrimp, steak, even a pizza. The size of the trout was good. The price was fair, which is something you look for. The trout was served blackened. As much as I like blackened seasoning, this was really quite salty. I love me some salt, but not to the point where it overwhelms the meal and all you taste is salt. The trout was cooked on the dryer, more well done side. That was disappointing. Of all the sides we ordered the favorites included corn, spinach, beets, and their potatoes. The cauliflower was highly recommended, but it was OK. Whatever flavor they were going for it didn't quite seem to hit it.

The torta was solid too, just a little spicy for my like, but I never checked if it was, and the Caprese made for a fresh, lighter option, it was missing the fresh mozzarella and fresh tomatoes.
