Noblita is yet another new resident shop that has recently opened up downtown and I'm glad they did.
There are many new boutiques that have popped up, as of late, and as much as I love the fact that our neighborhood is finally starting to feel like a real city, I'm not fond of the lack of professionalism I see in these shops. They look like maybe a group of friends decided one weekend to grab some cheap merchandise, buy some Ikea racks and rent out a dirty lil space and call it a boutique. In all actuality, the only real women' boutique downtown is Brigade, whom I adore. I shop there consistently.
I happened upon Noblita on another casual Saturday, having a stroll with The Man. I was surprised by the actual details of the space. A well thought out room with beautiful antique inspired chairs. A large open space, uncluttered and positively clean. There is no mess here. All the displays and racks are lined up in order and properly hung.
The shop consists of mainly knit tops and sweaters. All very unique and very reasonably priced. Somewhere between $40 on up. They also specialize in cotton apparel. No denim jeans made of soft cotton in every color of the rainbow. These jeans are not the pajama jeans you see on tv. They are well tailored. At about $60 a pair, I picked up a couple in black. As The Man calls it, "disposable clothes". Clothes that make you feel and look great but don't cost too much or make any sort of statement. When you find disposable clothes, you always want to pick up a couple or a few. They're like underwear.
The girls here are absolute dolls. Very very sweet and more than happy to help.
Stop by and say hello, ladies! We need shops like these to keep our neighborhood thriving! read more
