So disappointed. Spent $127 for a gel mani pedi. The Gel nail polish popped off of 4 of my fingernails in one day. People thought they were press on nails. So embarrassing! They did offer to fix it (and they did), but it was after the conference I attended. I even had to pay for a pedicure the day they fixed my nails. I thought it was free because of the nail issues and embarrassment, but No. They charged me $55. Not a good look. read more

TLDR: overpriced with bad technique and gummy polish. Don't waste your time or money. On a recent free afternoon, I wanted to pamper myself a little bit and also get my cuticles and nails shaped up. I know I've been to Nobu in the past for pedicures (getting a manicure done at a nail salon is a real rarity in my life), but I had never left a review. That usually means that I had a "meh" experience and wanted to give the place another shot before I leave my thoughts. The visit started out promisingly enough, with an easy walk-in appointment. The first red flag was the polish bottle that wouldn't open. It either meant it was old or the polish was too thick (frequently used and not using polish thinner to get it to the right consistency). The cuticle and nail shaping was good, so I will give them props for that. The employee seemed a bit distracted, and I noticed that she did about 5 thick coats of the gummy polish on my thumb, which I thought was odd. Even when I do my own nails, I know to do a thin coat and let it dry before going over again. I wondered if maybe they used a fast-drying top coat like Sèche Vite that would compensate and shrugged it off. I know I've been away for a hot second, but when did the price of regular manicures jump to $23? And $1 processing fee for credit cards on top of that?! I let my nails dry for the recommended time (note that the manicurist did not instruct me to remove my keys from my purse before the polish application, the way that many do). So what happened to my 5 coats of polish as I carefully got my keys out of my purse? I'll let you check out the photo. The other hand didn't touch anything and looked horrible hours later regardless. Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my experience at this salon. I got my nails done there, but unfortunately, they didn't last as long as they claimed. They were powder dip, and they fell off just a day later, which was a major bummer. I went back to the salon twice hoping they could fix it or give me a refund, but they refused! Me and my husband have been regular customers here for a while! It would have been great if they had been more understanding and offered a solution. Good customer service goes a long way, right??? Do not waste your time here. They are rude and inconsiderate of your time. I made an appt on Thursday with Mike a week before when I got a pedicure. When I showed up on time, they had to call because he was not even there. I waited 40 minutes for them to show up. I got passed around until his wife finally just took over because he was too busy with a side job. Very unprofessional! My nails looked good walking out. Friday night noticed some of my diamonds missing, really 1 day?! I went back Saturday to get them fixed and he acted like I was the problem, talking about it will be a wait, lol ok. I go to Nobu Nail Bar frequently as it is only five minutes from my home. I most frequently get acrylic nails, but I have also received a gel manicure on my natural nails. I most recently went five days ago, and staff was wearing masks and/or face shields to adhere COVID-19 precautions. Additionally, there are plastic covers between each station, and they had customers separated as much as possible. The positives: I am always pleased with the shape of my acrylic nails - they are perfect, and I appreciate Mike's precision. The nail salon is small, but I feel relaxed in the environment. The cons: I am frequently displeased with their attention to my cuticles. For example, upon getting a full set of acrylics on Sunday, the acrylic did not fill the nail completely. This requires me to get fills more frequently, and I'm incredibly frustrated by it. I've previously had to ask for the polish/acrylic to cover the entire nail. Overall, though, this is a good nail bar! I likely will return, but will have to be specific with my requests. read more

Overpriced, the quality does not match the cost at all. I paid $95 for a Full Set of Acrylic Nails with Gel polish and a not too complex design just for the nails to be popping off as if they're press ons within the first week! I lost two nails doing regular tasks (moving a cotton toy, and slightly scratching my neck), another one cracked and I'm not sure how. I called on a Monday (8 days after application) and couldn't be seen until Wednesday to get the nails fixed. While there I didn't get the nails fixed, the tech removed the color and I waited approx. 45 minutes without being helped after that & told to come back later. As I'm typing this two nails have popped off. I'm so disappointed and have obviously been jipped because even a half decent acrylic should last 2 weeks!! read more

I have been coming here for a while as it's convenient to work. But after today I will not be coming back. Every time I come in they act as if they are doing you a favor by acknowledging you and providing this service. The elderly woman that does prep work for pedicures is very kind and none of my review is directed at her. The youngest of the crew is snotty and treats her as if she's annoyed by her. Anytime I've had a manicure (gel) it begins to chip and crack with in a few days. The massage chair they always put me in is officially broken and has been malfunctioning for about 3-4 months. Since I was already committed I stuck with it. Their website lists a deluxe pedicure for $28 including an exfoliating scrub, cucumber mask with your legs wrapped in hot towels, and a hot stone massage. During the pedicure, the worker asked if I want to be basic or deluxe. I asked the difference and she said basic has the exfoliating scrub or hot stone, and the deluxe has both. So I assumed it would cost less than the deluxe. I got a quick exfoliating rub on my legs. I was then charged $30. That's more than the deluxe is listed for, and I only got the most basic of basic pedicures. Also, there was no background music, but two competing TV shows on, both with sound on. read more

The worst nails I have ever had done. I decided to try this place for the first time and it was a mistake. I got simple pink dip nails with a tip and it took 3 HOURS and was incredibly expensive for what I got. All the nails started popping up at my cuticles after 2 days and many nails have already fallen off after less than a week. I am incredibly displeased. Am updating my review to say that the customer service is also awful. Was told I was going to get my nails fixed for free in order to make up for my bad experience. I entered the establishment not expecting to be seen right away I understand there's sometimes a wait even with an appointment. He eventually finished his previous appointment and then asked me to sit at his station, I did so then he didn't start my nails right away he began repairing an iphone beside his station, which isn't safe at all.
