Hey, Hopes everyone is well that reads this review! Let's jump straight into my thoughts on NOBU and NY thoughts on the restaurant overall. Ambiance: This is a very cool and dim lit spot. It comes odd as a very intimate and "Chic" type of place. You know that you are going to spend some money soon as you walkthrough the spot. The chairs and table are very comfy. The smell of the sizzling foods that the waitresses and waitors brings out always get the attention! Very sexy and just laid back. Service: The service is really what you are paying for. This is the Reservations Spot! Meaning that you probably want to make reservations because bat this moment it is packed with RSVP parties to be honest. I did not see too many parties of people getting in without a reservation. I was a guest and came right on time so I was escorted to my table soon as I gave the party table name. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended things that were delicious to me and the party of folks I was there with. Our waitress made sure our water glasses were always filled. Beware though. They do try and pitch the "Distilled or Sparkling" for water options which is something you will be billed for. I later found out that they do offer regular tap water for my folks that doesn't want those options. The hot section foods came out hot and we were served our sushi rolls towards the end after eating the hot food. Its really different than what I am accostumed to. Food: The menu is divided by appetizers, hot, and cold sections. If you have a Mushroom allergy-Please play it safe at this restaurant. Many of these dishes contains mushrooms of some sort or they may be traces of the mushroom in the dish. Please state your allergies ahead of time so you won't have any allergic reaction to the food. I'm alive today, and my lip just was swollen for a bit but thats why its so important to get the allergies talk out the way before placing your order. I had got the spicy tuna rice. It was really different. The tuna was fresh and chopped in a bowl. The tempura rice square was different for me as well. I really didn't like the dish all together I kind of ate most of the chopped tuna. The hot dish I did was the Bake Snow Crab. It was okay. It tasted kind of grity with the sauce that was underneath the crab. It was not bad but I don't ever have to get those two dishes I ordered again. Then last but not least they brought out the cold sushi rolls towards the end. I ordered the spicy tuna rolls which was very fresh and good. Fresh tends to be the theme at this spot. You do pay extra to the roll to be cut into pieces just a little FYI! The dessert menu looked so good. I'm sad that I did not get any dessert. I reallynshould have sis the Plum Wine, Sushi Rolls and a dessert. Speaking of Plum wine. Last but not least the Plum wine was the highlight for me. Very refreshing and light for a plum wine. Its a NOBU product from their very own vineyard. This was everything to me. Food overall was MEH! When you spend big money you expect a certain savory experience that would get you to come back. I'm happy I had the opportunity to go here and if I come back I'm probably going to explore the sushi rolls and dessert more instead of the other experimental dishes. Everything smelled good and looked amazing but actually eating it didn't connect right. Its really that I had a high expectation of the tasting of the food before comimg and it didn't match out well once I git the chance to eat. I picked safer dishes to try and not do mushrooms but unfortunately you can't always get away from that. read more

Had never eaten at a Nobu restaurant but had always wanted to. When we realized they opened up a location in NOLA-- we had to try it. Ambiance was dimly lit, comfortable, good/upbeat music playing. Our waitress was excellent and helped guide us through the menu and how to order. She also helped make some delicious suggestions. The fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine was truly excellent. The cocktails were also some of the best, if not THE best, that we had the entire time we were in NOLA. Going to Nobu, you know it's going to be an expensive dining experience-- but, man... stuff adds up quickly!! Make sure to be mindful of cost as you order so you don't have a heart attack when the bill arrives. Being as expensive as it is, unfortunately it isn't the type of restaurant/experience I could personally afford to repeat with any frequency. However, I still felt it was worth doing once-- if you can afford it, do it! Only real areas for improvement for me would be the eel roll... incredibly underwhelming in comparison to every other dish we had, and the lobster special that I ordered. It was so heavily seasoned that you couldn't taste the lobster at all-- entire dish was overpowering and truthfully a little difficult to get through. read more

I don't want to start with the price point in any review but in this case I will because it sets expectations of excellence and high-end quality and immaculate preparation and service. This restaurant is in the top tier price wise in this city. The decor is modern, well maintained and details are carefully considered. The service was friendly and efficient. The team worked well together even if some team members were not well trained and receiving training during the service. A few dishes were memorable, the rest wasn't worth the effort put into them. I hope this review helps the establishment improve and offer the top notch hospitality service and food it's meant to. read more

Enjoyed Nobu New Orleans! I'm glad there is finally one in the city to go to. This Nobu is located in the newly renovated Ceaser's Casino. It's your typical Nobu restaurant-- lovely food and drinks, great customer service as well. The ambience is dark which I love and would be perfect for a date night. I don't love that it's located in the casino as the vibe is a little off and does r give "upscale dinning". Nonetheless, I had a good experience. read more

I still agree with everything I said in my original review but I recently went back and just wanted to do an update because my experience was a little different this time. This time I was only with a party of 2 but somehow I was still told to wait at the bar when I arrived despite having a reservation. The tables for smaller parties aren't nearly as chic as it was last time when I was with a large group. We were in the middle of the dining area and the music was really loud from the outside casino area and we were really close to another table. We ordered the yellow tail jalapeño, the spicy edamame, rock shrimp and tiradito to start. The tiradito looked slightly different from my last dining experience but it was still good nevertheless. We ordered Cod as one of our entrees and about 10 minutes later our server came back and said they were out of it and would we like to order anything else. We said give us a few minutes and we ended up ordering the gambas al ajillo to replace it and then we were told they were out of that was well. Dot dot dot... why not tell us everything that was out before leaving us to browse the menu? But we ended up getting the prime beef again and the Parmesan truffle rice. It was good but it was disappointing that they were out of two entrees we wanted. We got the banana soy toban for dessert. The server told me they would put a candle in it because we were celebrating a birthday but the dessert came out without a candle and she was no where to be found. Service was TOP TIER! LaToya & Madison greets you at the entrance and their welcoming spirit is comforting and welcoming. LaToya was eager to meet my needs and do her best to honor any of my requests. Victor was the MVP of the evening. He was funny, down to earth , energetic, knowledgeable, patient, helpful, informative, and professional. He had extensive knowledge of the menu and gave suggestions and details about each item. He was willing to answer any questions and address any concerns while not showing any signs of being impatient or that he was too busy. Should you visit, I HIGHLY recommend you request Victor to be your waiter. The food quality, timeliness, and portions was pretty good. The price was definitely excessive in my opinion. I feel it is to pay for the space in the casino. Service was AMAZING and atmosphere is top notch also, but if I come back it would only be for drinks. If you want a high end sushi experience, this is an option for you. I would prefer a more affordable sushi place with more reasonable pricing options and items. I guess I was expecting the NYC experience. The food was okay, but nothing was spectacular. Service ... We waited and waited for service ... ordered martinis, got the wrong one... then waited and waited for the correct one. The bill came and was charged for 3 martinis.... Wait staff said. I recently dined at Nobu as a treat to myself and my mom! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the lighting (or lack thereof) helps to set a relaxing mood. Let me preface by saying the food was absolutely delicious! Service and the time to get the food was very slow however. Also, some guys (seemed like management) were talking to the table next to us. It seemed business related, but it put a damper on our experience because they were so close to us and so loud. I feel like they should have been more considerate of the surrounding customers, so that was a turnoff. Now back to the food, we started with the Caesar Salad w/Wasabi Truffle Dressing....amazing! Next were the Crispy Okra and Crispy Fish Tacos. Both were delicious! The tacos were about two bites each so don't expect a large portion. They were definitely worth it however! This was a total splurge meal so we ordered the Wagyu on Hot Stone! Oh my goodness, this was the best thing I've ever had in my life. The Wagyu melted in my mouth. There was a 4 ounce minimum for the hot stone and it was a larger portion than I expected. We had the Crispy Rice Avocado to accompany the Wagyu and it was the perfect choice. Finally, we ended with the Baked Alaska which was so yummy. Oh yeah, I had a cocktail as well. I can't remember the name but I wasn't impressed with it. We went here in the Taylor Swift weekend, and dropped in early without a reservation at about 5pm on a Sunday. The interior is way too dark in a kind of a too much , too mysterious way. Also, it's freezing cold, but that's good because that matches the attitude of the servers. I guess they have a standard way that they like to serve and do everything.. . and in the order that they like to do things. But I think if a customer asks to look at the menu, they should be bringing you a menu, right away- especially if it's the first time you've been to Nobu. On your schedule, not theirs. The waiter kept trying to upsell us into ordering more than we wanted to initially( because we didn't know the food!)- and once we looked at the menus after they finally brought them in their own good time , we were never offered a menu again. In fact , they were pointedly taken, even though I clearly wanted to keep one. As you do, in a sushi restaurant. After we were finished through the courses- which were in a nonsensical order, they did offer us a dessert menu, but I was so unhappy in general and I just wanted to leave. Example of a pushy upsell - we just wanted still water and we were brought bottled water, which we didn't really need. Trust was already broken. I didn't really want to take the ordering guidance of someone who seemed indifferent to our desires. The cocktails were fine, but not exceptional. To say the staff was not friendly, is an understatement. I have been to Nobu in Los Angeles. I never felt as disregarded as I did in this New Orleans establishment. I've been to New Orleans multiple times and have had some of the best restaurant experiences overall . Friendly, helpful staff, happy, excited for you to experience their food- is not something you would say of Nobu. This is certainly at the bottom of my list . We would've ordered more, but we didn't really know the food or at least the four other people with me didn't know the food. And we all did feel our server's attitude was supercilious and condescending. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in recent memory and unfortunately, or fortunately , the food was mostly remarkable. One exception was the cut roll that came at the end. We got a yellowtail with scallion. It was fresh, but it was boring and tiny. Plus, you could not taste the scallion. The food is mostly amazing, (the crispy rice was the best I've had) . Waygu dumplings and gem Caesar truffle salad were standouts also. The food- pretty good, 4 stars. The service attitude - 1 star, for the absolutely ridiculous service. Make friends with your customers and don't make enemies of them. Seems simple. I just felt like the service was a dumb piece of performance art. I wanted to love Nobu because I love sushi and a good a presentation, but I left hungry and with a 350 bill (split between two of us). Nobu certainly hits the mark with the aesthetic of the food, but the flavors just weren't there for some dishes. It felt like we're were paying for the experience as opposed to great tasting food. The yellowtail jalapeño was our favorite. Super fresh! The tuna tacos were solid, but the price point wasn't worth it for such a small bite. The crispy okra was our least favorite. It had no salt, and honestly feels a bit misplaced given the rest of the menu. We enjoyed the presentation of the hot stone wagyu. I loved a good table side show. I appreciated that it came with three sauces. The service was impeccable. The servers are knowledgeable and to walk people through the menu. I really hated that we were facing the casino floor. It was super loud and distracting. It took away from the atmosphere. Overall, I'm glad I tried it, but probably won't return. I went home and made eggs. read more

Definitely second rate. Having been to a few Nobus around the world, this one needs work. But the people are very nice. Food is blander than other places. Shoshito peppers were soggy, at best. My husband kept saying "maybe this is a different style". Perhaps. The back up bartender is a rock star, the one in charge lacks. I had to try the infamous Nobu restaurant when I was on vacation in New Orleans. It was somewhat challenging to find the restaurant as it is inside the Caesar's casino. I did not have a reservation but there were plenty of tables and sat at the bar. The staff was very friendly and attentive and several individuals interacted with me over the course of my dining experience. The cocktails were the highlight: the lychee elderflower cocktail was sweet with the perfect combination of flavors and garnished with a lychee, the mango passion cocktail was also amazing and had a great mango flavor with an edible flower. The food was overall satisfying, I started with the crispy okra which was my favorite dish that came with a fish sauce dipping sauce. The avo crispy rice was not my favorite as it was cubes of fried rice on tooth picks that you dip in guacamole dip. The black cod butter lettuce was good but didn't get enough of the cod flavor in the dish and there were 2 bite size portions. The snow crab sushi piece had horseradish and rice but I probably would have preferred and brown sugar butter sauce. The soft shell crab roll was way too salty so no soy sauce was needed. I had to try and offset the saltiness with the ginger that comes with the dish. Unfortunately I got full, but there were a lot more dishes on the menu that I wanted to try so until next time. However I checked this one off the bucket list and overall the cocktails were what I would expect, but the food not so much. OMG the food was sooooo incredible. Every single thing we got was so delish. Yes it's expensive. Know that going in and accept it. We got many dishes. Both of our tops was a salmon dish Salmon with Karashi Su Miso - GET THIS! Such an interesting flavor profile. Steak was top notch. Lychee mocktail was a flavor explosion in a good way Jalepeno yellowtail incredible Tuna tataki YUM!! Service was great, steady flow. The truffle wasabi ceasar salad was soooo good. Vibes were great. Least fave but still delish- rock shrimp I legit wish I was rich so I could eat here weekly. I get why the kardashians got it so much now!!! read more

What can I said that I haven't gushed about previously? I absolutely love this restaurant. This was our second visit in as many months. We brought friends this time to have the experience. We were not disappointed. You know a place is as awesome as you think when you invite others and they have the exact experience and response. We had a variety of things from the menu including shareable dishes. The Wagyu dumplings were a hit as well as the crispy okra, the black cod, and the sake. Staff was just as knowledgeable about the menu answering questions and offering additional insight as our previous visit. It is easy to forget that outside the restaurant you can walk a feet and be in Caesar's casino and hotel. Once you are inside Nobu you are transformed to another place. The gradual lighting also allows for a pleasant, gradual, non-jarring re-entry into the outside world. Nobu's menu is a delight to tastebuds. The flavors, the food all take you on a journey. Nobu is a consistent top tier establishment that earns 5 stars from me for its atmosphere, adult beverage selection, inspiring menu, knowledgeable staff, and capacity. It is accommodating to special date nights, small group gathers of friends or colleagues, individual dining, as well as family dining. There is a full bar so keep that in mind. This is one of my favorite places in NOLA. read more

"Nobu New Orleans" It was a long work week, had several guests this weekend, extremely exhausted and with a fresh tasty pot of gumbo on the stove...we fought through to make our reservation! Folks of Nola we are glad we did! Greeted by the lovely ladies at the hostess stand, we were quickly escorted to our table in the middle of the restaurant to take in the ambiance, music and excellent service. Our servers name was Mike...he is now known as Big Mike because of his superb hospitality, food, drink and dessert recommendation's. **With two vegetarians in our party...the vegetarian options were equally delicious! We decided as a group to allow Chef E.M. to surprise us with food choices. Spoiler Alert...we ended the night with photos, contact information exchanged with Chef and Big Mike! The food is very good and the place is elegant and quiet. Staff is very helpful, especially with any allergies and/or dietary preferences. They come every 5 seconds to ask you how's everything tasting and stopping you mid conversation which was a little much. The vegetables were slightly overpriced. They were very good, but nothing extraordinary, especially considering you're in New Orleans. read more

One of the best dining experiences we've had in New Orleans and maybe the best Omakese in the city. Cannot recommend this place enough! The ambiance and experience is fantastic, our service was top notch and our servers suggestions were so helpful and spot on. Great menu and so many good options to choose from. Atmosphere and ambiance is a vibe in itself. Food was fabulous. First time I visited I grabbed a lychee martini to start (sweet but amazing) and had several hot dishes. The rock shrimp was very okay, not bad but not worth the price. Spicy edamame and spicy garlic vegetables were HOTTTT, so beware if you're cautious with spice. Grapefruit on the rocks was similar to the lychee martini but much less sweet, so insanely good. Both visits I tried the tacos, picture included for size reference all tasted fabulous. I tried the wagyu, tuna, salmon, and lobster. My favorite hot dish was the beef toban yaki or the black cod miso. Wagyu dumplings were sold out on my first visit but I was able to snag them on my second, they were okay. Super rich for sure, the ground wagyu threw me off as I expected it to be sliced or diced. I wish I knew the names of all the dishes I tried on our second visit, but we did a chefs tasting and I had too many martinis to remember the names they gave us verbally read more

Everything we ordered was good even though I didn't like having to order all at once..I usually like to order different things as I'm there. The food was actually surprising for me, I had a lot expectations for nobu especially with the hype for the food, the service was great and the people had a welcoming atmosphere however the food was really disappointing, the cooked items looked like they were sitting under a heat lamp for too long, the spicy tuna and crispy rice dish was underwhelming, the tuna did not look fresh at all and it tasted like it was minced/ blended with water. The crispy rice tasted like a tatter tot that was sitting under a heat lamp. The beef toban yaki was flavor less the beef was cooked at a perfect temp but there was no flavor (not even salt). The black cod was literally just fish and miso steamed (with the special hype surrounding this dish on how nobu is known for, it was really disappointing). The blue fin tuna wasn't even dressed... I could've got that anywhere, so what sets nobu apart? The tacos were the only thing that was actually good and left me wanting more but when you're wanting to try everything why is the wagyu taco the most exciting thing when you only receive bite sizes? At that point I could've gone to a taco truck and got more tacos for my money instead of a high-end Japanese restaurant looking for Japanese food -*_-* for as much money spent here the drinks and service should not be the only thing good at this place. Needs new kitchen staff or menu needs to be changed, better head chef? Why did I order everything/ try damn near everything and still left hungry...literally ordered a burger bc that was the only thing open after leaving nobu and that is embarrassing for the brand. read more

We had reservations for 4 but we had 5 people. My friend forgot to add the fifth guest. Nobu accommodated us with no issues. We were greeted by our server who was very attentive and explained the menu very well. This was the first time for all us so we were very excited to try as many dishes as possible without over ordering. He made great recommendations to fill in what he thought was missing from our must have choices. Service was great throughout our whole experience. Ambiance was upbeat with the music which was good for a girls night out. If you are looking for something more romantic, this may not be the best choice. For our family style meal, we ordered the yellow tail jalapeño, nobu caesar with wasabi truffle dressing, miso black cod, otoro sushi, salmon/tuna/waygu taco, rock shrimp tempura, seafood ceviche, hot stone A5 waygu, mushroom toban, miso cappuccino, kakigori. Most items lived up to the hype but I think I could get the same or better quality at other Japanese restaurants for the Yellowtail jalapeño. Overall, we were happy campers when we left. nobu is great for a date night just to talk and eat. the food is amazing as always and never gets old my favorite is probably salmon with karashi-su miso and the wagyu dumplings. the service is always good here and never fails to amaze me. if you have time and want to have a chill night come here. read more

Tacos were an inch long. Cod had big blood line that tasted fishy and the sauce was thick and trying to over power the taste of the cod. Crispy rice was only good dish and lychee martini was decent. Overall, not worth the price read more
